Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

Baton Rouge, LA, on Jun 01, 2026

Level staff are great to work with. From sales, [name removed]; design [name removed], and construction, [name removed], the build was seamless. [name removed] is a great asset in a position which can sometimes be difficult if there are problems. He was terrific to work with.

When you would ask about somthing ie. Could we get over head on porch stained or side porch door stained it was no. From the contact person Or you need to ask this person, then when all was done it was said oh you should of told me we could of done that. Of course that person was on the don't talk to him directly person. ( which i do understand). However our contact person should of ask, and dug deeper. But over all I would definitely deal with level home again

The home is solid built, but Level uses low grade trash paint on everything. Also, they could use a better concrete contractor. When paying $300k for a home, customers should receive way better quality on these 2 items. Fans and fixtures could be higher quality as well

the interior work is a "bit" sloppy. for the price i expected the small things to be handled better. a lot of the corners were poorly painted. only one coat was on the walls, if the kids so much as stick a sticker to the wall the paint comes off the dry wall easily. the conrecte is full of holes, rushed, my sod still hasnt grown it wasnt taken care of when installed during rainy season.. small things but things i look at everyday and say.. "man i'd def warn someone about these "details" if they ever looked at level"

I enjoyed picking out all of the upgrades. I wasn’t pleased with having to change one of my colors because level was unwilling to paint the stucco dark grey on the home. i’m now having to hire a contractor to do that work that should gave been completed in the first place.

I didn’t like the check ins were revamped. I moved in 7 weeks after purchase, so I missed the 30 day check in because no one was living here. Would have been hard to say what was working or not working because nothing was being used until. The light above the counter was supposed to be replaced per the discussion during the walk through on the date of purchase. It was never replaced. No six month check in because those were no longer happening.

I sent a warranty request for a faucet problem that was fixed but the one for my cabinets have been unanswered. Nobody came to our closing from level not a single person or realtor. [name removed] don’t know [name removed] gave us a closing date but nobody at level knew anything about that closing date and we had to wait another month for a house that was finished

[name removed] and [name removed] were excellent to deal with and speak to. On the other hand, [name removed] tried to take a short cut when repairing hardy board on the outside of our home. Taking short cuts or performing less than adequate repairs will hinder level homes. also riding around and seeing homes that are less than five years old needing repairs with siding under porches is troublesome. Also lack of paint quality on the exterior of the home… brings to question of how many mills are being applied. Who is monitoring the contractor to make sure enough mils are being applied to the exterior? Who is Documenting that information if it is even being tracked. Is there enough mills consistent or equal to two coats for weathering purposes? Inside is another concern….it’s obvious only one coat is being applied. Either that or inferior paint is being used. I’ll be waiting for feedback on this response from level. Having to clean a new home before moving in a 488k is lack of customer service. Hazy windows, dust on walls, doors, glue/silicone on floors etc. do better. We had to clean the home before moving in. Learn how to communicate with homeowners when a contractor will conduct repairs or enter private property. Lack of upkeep with subdivison maintenance is disheartening…don’t blame the HOA…. Do better get a better management agency!!!!!

You can definitely tell the work was rushed and multiple attempts at hiding incomplete or damaged work.

The warranty department gives me the run around. I had stucco issues which took them multiple attempts to fix. Now I have paint issues that they wil not send a painter for.

Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.
