I really liked the experience of being able to pick everything out at the showroom, all the people involved with that. [name removed] was really great to work with, she was very knowledgeable and helpful and explained everything very clearly. I really need a hose bib in the front of the house, the 2 on the sides are too far to reach and a pain to roll up every time I need one. I’m disappointed with the green space upkeep, it only gets [name removed] hogged every now and then, so it hold lots of mice, rats, snakes, spiders etc.

Final walkthrough was on closing day. Stuff from the inspection was not completed. Superintendent told us that we could fix things ourselves when we were under the impression it would be fixed prior to moving in. Paint from repaint was paint all over the floor. Texture on walls is not consistent

I love how easy it is to get in contact with a contractor for maintenance work

Once the home was completed, the excitement of the new home wore out, things became noticeable. When you reach out to someone (the paint job I think is horrible) they say they don’t fix it or suggest you call the warranty people. A part of the foundation broke off and that is still a scare. I like everything to come together from the inside to the outside. They dumped dirt on the side walk by my home. When walking to the mailbox you have to step off the side walk onto the street because of the pile of dirt no one ever came to remove. The fountain in the pond doesn’t work and it’s been like that for about 2 weeks.

I enjoyed every aspect of the building process. I enjoyed the design phase and picking all the materials to be included in my home. I enjoyed and updated to home with seeing the pictures being uploaded. The process was very seamless. I feel there is room for improvements by offering additional upgrades. Such as adding gutters to the home, lights in the upper glass cabinet inserts, and offering the upgraded faucets mounting style in the additional bathrooms other than the master. These are all avenues in which Level could charge additional fees to make added revenue and customer could add on options they likely would add anyway.

The house was built with a lot of cheap material. The communication from the beginning with the showroom on material available was not very good. It was explained that only certain homes could be built beside us because of our design and that has not been true products have been available and home built a couple months after me that I was told we’re not available for my build. My yard is terrible !!!! and I cannot get anyone to come back and look at it. I’ve reached out to Level Homes manager, which is the third manager in this area since I started this process, which tells me something about the company and I do not like the fact that 95% of their crews I believe are illegal immigrants that don’t speak English and they come in throw stuff together and leave and they have a crew of about five or eight people come behind them and fix all of the issues and they try to hurry up and get through the one-year warranty process and then they do not care.

I really liked the building experience and my level of customization. We are first time homeowners and having some guardrails while choosing the production was extremely helpful while still ensuring we have a beautiful home.

When you would ask about somthing ie. Could we get over head on porch stained or side porch door stained it was no. From the contact person Or you need to ask this person, then when all was done it was said oh you should of told me we could of done that. Of course that person was on the don't talk to him directly person. ( which i do understand). However our contact person should of ask, and dug deeper. But over all I would definitely deal with level home again

The home is solid built, but Level uses low grade trash paint on everything. Also, they could use a better concrete contractor. When paying $300k for a home, customers should receive way better quality on these 2 items. Fans and fixtures could be higher quality as well

Level Homes was founded in 2000 with a mission to provide high-quality new homes and master-planned communities throughout Southeast Louisiana. During the 2008 recession, while many homebuilders and construction companies were closing their doors, Level Homes forged key partnerships that would enable the acquisition and development of several master-planned residential communities.

Level Homes has achieved significant, measurable growth leading the firm to be recognized as both the fastest-growing homebuilder and one of the largest homebuilders in the nation. Today, Level Homes is building in four flagship master-planned communities and more than 20 other residential developments — having built homes for thousands of families in the last two decades.

Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.
