There were a few delays and miscommunications coordinating between First American, the seller, and the loan company that could have been avoided if American Title had coordinated with us earlier in the process but overall it went rather smoothly. The escrow officer I was working with, [name removed]'[name removed], never returned an email I sent. Anytime I tried to correspond with her, she would just defer me to her team. All of my limited interactions with [name removed] were not friendly and at times, just rude. Of my entire home buying experience, I would say First American left the worst taste in my mouth. Communication was poor and I had to follow up and reach out to try and get updates related to my close. I expected more from First American and have worked with other escrow companies and have never received this poor level of service.
