The home plan layout is very open and perfect for us. [name removed] always responded in a timely manner to help get small items fixed. Their repairman, [name removed], would ask if there was anything else he could do while here. It’s very warm when cold outside and cool in summer without having high utility bills. I would build another [name removed] home in the next two years because I love the experience!

The design center experience could be improved upon. The exterior colors did not turn out as we wanted. It was not clear the extent of the exterior color would be impacted by our color choices, specifically the fascia, soffit and how it would present with the brick. Perhaps a 3d virtual rendering would be helpful to get a visual of the exterior we were choosing colors for, that part was not clear at all.

[name removed] is very nice and has been great about following up on items that need immeadiate attention, like baseboards popping off and a cabinet door that came off. All my “check off items” for the six month have been completed. There are still some baseboards that need to have the flooring trimmed back under them, then nailed back. After this is done, the baseboards will need painting. I am satisfied with the warranty department.

I had [name removed]. Her communication could have been better at breaking down everything as to what options were available and what everything entailed. For instance, I picked out an elevation but wasn’t told the windows couldn’t be changed. For instance, I hate numerous panes in the window and since there were lots of homes without that I didn’t know it wasn’t allowed on my elevation so now I’m stuck with them. I’ve had them for 49 years in [name removed] and couldn’t wait to not have them here. I didn’t have experience with new home buying so there were numerous times I was told no and they couldn’t make changes. Other examples also but same situation. Also, it was a very bad experience having a wife as the sales agent and a husband as the builder contact. I knew that was an extreme conflict of interest. I would be happy to discuss that by phone. It was bad. [name removed] and I were able to communicate fairly well but his wife was another story. Her use of caps and bold lettering in her emails and assumptions of what I was thinking was extremely condescending. I tried to contact her as little as possible and finally had my realtor handle most of it. I enjoyed being across the street watching it be built. I was excited about it but it was the people experiences that were bad. It’s been a month since we purchased the house. I still have half matte and half shiny backsplash in my kitchen. It took daily emails for a week and then finally photos of my whole kitchen draped in plastic from the entire ceiling re-mudding that had to be done to get a response from [name removed]. I called the tile place myself finally and they ordered the correct tile. Still waiting for that to be done. Hopefully this week but I have no reason to expect that based on my experience. Monday, two days before walk through my inspection was scheduled. I had my realtor contact [name removed] prior because the water wasn’t on. That morning [name removed] emailed us to let us know it was on and when he got there, no water or gas was on. She was upset that he left and didn’t do the inspection and asked me why. I told her because he couldn’t with nothing working and then she asked me if I had the water switched to my name in a very condescending tone. I asked her why would I do that and no! That was my breaking point with her. [name removed] and [name removed] were always friendly and informative. If you are interested in all of it I would be happy to talk with you.

Our salesperson, [name removed],, made the entire process go well. When we had an idea she would draw it out for us. She helped make our home exactly what we wanted. She even helped us find a church that was perfect for us. She would always answer my emails in a reasonable amount of time and never made me feel like I was “ bugging her”. We were in the neighborhood in April of 2019 with a realtor. She wanted to show us a [name removed] home, but I also wanted to see the [name removed] home. I knew when I had walked through it, that this was our builder and [name removed] made it all come together! I love the open concept and how beautiful the site is! The lots are too close together, and you can’t see that, until all the homes go up. However, neighbors are very nice. One thing I can say for sure, I would build a [name removed] Home again! I would still like to live on a lake or near one. Maybe [name removed] will do that someday! But this is my favorite builder!
