Just disliked the time it took to figure it out but understand that it was due to changes in the employment of that department. When the new person moved in, everything ran super smoothly.

[name removed] the community sales manager was very nice and he tried to be as responsive as much as he could even though there were some things he didn't know, he would still try to find out and relay the information to us. We did have a few hiccups throughout the building process but I do appreciate [name removed] for having patience with us. The design appointment when [name removed] was still there ran very smoothly and all of our questions were answered. When we had to deal with [name removed], she was not there the day of the appointment, another person helped us (she was very nice). [name removed] contacted us with little to no idea and understanding of what we wanted and our situation. She didn't want to honor the original design and price we had, and told us we'd have to be charge for a fan that we initially weren't. She couldn't follow and didn't understand how we wanted the locations of the ceiling fan and chandelier in the house, even until the end of the design process. She then somehow dug out the old concrete extension quote and tried to apply it to the new lot. She needs to be trained on customer service and especially learn to learn how to interact with people. We had 2 project managers for the house, [name removed] (who got moved to another community) and [name removed]. [name removed] was nice and straight forward when interacting with us in person, however when we needed to contact him, he was never available and wouldn't respond to phone calls or text messages; it seemed that any concern we had or anything that wasn't correct was just pushed to a side with him. Sometimes even [name removed] had a hard time to get in contact with him to get answers for us. [name removed] is also a very nice and straight forward person. He gets the work done and he was available when we try to contact him and ask questions, but he always seems very busy so it does take a while to hear back from him. I do appreciate Mr. [name removed] very much, we had issues with the driveway and also around closing time. When no one wanted to hear out our problem, he did the best he could to help us out and compromise. I don't think anyone else in the company was willing to do that for us. After closing we had some issues with gas leak, it took a few times to contact [name removed] but he was able to get GSE out to fix it. We also are currently having an AC issue still waiting on that to be resolved. We still have a few outstanding issues that are waiting to be fix. They may seem very minor to your company, but for us, it is a hassle to have to constantly ask for updates and even nagging just to get it done. We are waiting for window screens to be installed, I've asked a few times over the past week since they've arrived and they still are not yet. We've asked for a small window to be replaced at the final walk through, only last week did we get a phone call for them to come out in middle of March to get installed. I've also been asking for a transition piece to be glued down since the final walk through and a small hole to be patched and that still has not been addressed yet. When we had our final walk through, it was with [name removed]. He was telling us how one of his bosses with telling him about building a perfect home, well I think the thing is that there is no perfect home because there is human error; but that human error can be minimized with attention to detail and a better quality control process. There is no point to just talk and speak about how something is not possible if you aren't willing to notice and put the effort into fixing it. I do see that [name removed] has grown a lot since our old house in The Sanctuary at Juban Crossing. We actually only decided to build in [name removed] [name removed] because we rememebered not only the quality of the house but also the wonderful customer service and response. Now the same people may not be with the company anymore and [name removed] has grown a lot. But with this growth there is also a wider/larger margin of error caused by the customer service aspect for us this time around building in [name removed] [name removed]. We truly loved the house, the location and knowing how the end product should be and that was the only reason why we stuck and followed through with the building process, as far as majority of the interactions with some of the employees went, it was disappointing.

I enjoy my home. It is beautiful. Communication was sometimes frustrating, as I wouldn’t always get responses to my questions or concerns.

The purchase experience was amazing. Communication between the sales manager, the construction and project team, and the design team was quick and timely. Alvarez Construction was very open to small requests to enhance the house which meant a lot.
