Process was easy, it is a business deal but we were mislead about property lines or not being told about the servitude when purchased. Also, final walk through and move in, all issues were not resolved. There are still issues with floor, molding, and painting was terrible throughout the house.

They do not fix things until your check ins. And then they are still not fixed. Reckless errors. I always thought alverez was the best. I now believe DSLD is the best with post closing issues. I have many issues that have yet to be fixed even though I reported some on my last walk through. I would like a repair person to reach out to.

I dislike the fact that Alvarez Construction doesn't feel like customers concerns need be addressed as quickly as possible. Investing in our homes is a special feeling and when we notify [name removed] it seems they always seems to make our issues the homeowner problem specifically when it comes to warranty issues

Good customer service. Ms. [name removed] was very responsive and took care of all of our requests. Mr. [name removed] & Mr. [name removed] are a good face to the Alvarez Company because they listened to our concerns and were very helpful.

Walkthrough punch list wasn’t complete. Waiting until the 11 month mark to fox paint and caulk issues I’m not a fan of

Original sale had the salesman show us a lot that ended up mostly not being ours. Built a fence then had to move fence along with several neighbors. Doors still not fixed. AC issues, window seal issues, currently several walls with the bottoms cut out. Moisture under kitchen sink. Crown molding never properly caulked and fixed. Many paint issues all in which we hope will be resolved before warranty expires. I love the house and the neighborhood and once these issues are resolved I feel like I would absolutely recommend [name removed]. Dry wall and paint work overall is the most I am disappointed in.

I disliked the project manager we had at the beginning. Thankfully that was resolved. I dislike at this price point I have small gashes on multiple places of dry wall I keep finding, including the ceiling. I had a plumber out 3 times and tell me nothings wrong when finally they found construction debris in the piping. Granted that’s the plumbers fault not [name removed]. I have had my garage door checked and worked on once for sounding like it’s going to fall apart. That worked for a few weeks and it’s back to binding up. The front door and back door were installed incorrectly. And after having them looked at they were simply rigged to work better. The doors don’t operate correctly and I was told it’s fine. They’re not lined up correctly and the door latch looks like someone went at it it a hammer and painted over it. I expected much higher quality with [name removed] as that’s what a lot of people recommended to me.

[name removed] did a great job of being available and communication. I think communication would break down between [name removed], sub contracted manager of different groups and then to workers. Things could have been fixed sooner and possibly cheaper if done before next phase of construction commenced. Painters could have done a better job on the first application which would have led to less returns and repaints. Quality of materials seemed to be above average, which made for a rich looking house. The entire purchasing process was easy, and proceeded very efficiently. Great communication between all parties involved in walk through procedures, warranty set up and financing. All in all, good job! Knowing [name removed] personally, it was a pleasure for me to have his company build our house after him giving me his business through the years. I have already ,and will in the future recommend Alvarez Construction for anyone's home needs.

The house repairs discussed at our initial walk through were not complete by our final walk through.

The showings and the initial contract process was good, but neither the sales manager or project manager were very knowledgeable about the home. There was conflicting information from both and some information given was completely incorrect. I was also told that any wrong information given was not a fault of Alvarez and they would not be liable for it. Our keys given at closing did not open the doors to the house and none of procedures described at the closing was followed. [name removed] all of the items from walk-through were take care of and some of them were not taken care of until after the final walk-through. Even our private home inspector was surprised at how many items had not been addressed by the final walk-through.

Some of my concerns seemed to be dismissed when it came to electrical rough-in and also stucco flashing STILL seemed to be a dismissive point. Also, would like project manager to honor his word when he states having someone contact us about minor issues such as garage door operation.

Our project manager was [name removed] for the south creek neighborhood. He was pretty much worthless. Didn’t help much, didn’t want to fix anything and rushed every meeting. I know he was let go from the company but he caused a very annoying buying process. Now that we are moved in we have noticed numerous drywall pokes, holes and scratches. The doors were installed poorly. Each door closes different and one is very difficult to close. The door handle on each door looks severely mangled like someone tried installing them with a hammer and forced them into the door frames. Overall we love the home, but the inspections were either non existent or rushed. The price point for this type of home is too high to have so many build quality issues not fixed before moving in.
