Warranty service has been fine to work with so far. Poor design on laundry room for 3 reasons. 1. No laundry room drain 2. Exterior outlet that is on the wall directly opposite the washing machine drain p-trap. This trap froze during the winter and flooded our laundry room. 3. Circuit breaker to laundry room does not actually cut power to the laundry room. This is an electrical hazard.

The warranty process needs improvement. Unsure if it was isolated or not, but when I put in a request online it was never received or reviewed. I had to hunt down the number to the warranty office or a contact to them so I could get it taken care of.

I did not like not getting a closing date until 25 days before closing. Especially when you can lock in mortgage rates 60 days out. It made the process of completing the mortgage more difficult and it did not allow proper time to plan things like movers.

We had an issue with the color palette that was never resolved. The problem was caused by multiple employees leaving or having health issues and no one ever going over the final color palette with us. We felt like you could have eaten the couple hundred dollars it would have cost to make it right but you didn't

I liked how they came out to my home shortly after we closed to double check what was and wasn’t completed yet. I disliked however, how long it’s taking to get said things done after the follow up. We’ve been waiting months!

I met with [name removed] after I decided I liked the area and the homes. With huge demand, I thought I’d be living with my daughter and family for at least a year until home built. But [name removed] did his work and got me into my new home within a month!!

I was very disappointed in the beginning because from day 1 I told sales rep that I wanted a stucco exterior. She ([name removed]) told me that the building permit was not issued for stucco. I then asked her if it could be amended she told me know. My only option was to wait until a new lot would be released and start process all over again. Unfortunately because of my living situation I was unable to wait to do this. Nobody would admit to whose fault it was with building permit. Otherwise I think [name removed] was a good value for my money I'm happy with the model I chose (the Sonoma). So far the glitches that have been found have been rectified.

The house was contracted by another buyer who had to back out so I got the opportunity to purchase the house but couldn't make any changes due to pre orders, however they did allow me to get a gas line for a gas stove and was extremely happy about it. During pre drywall inspection I noticed they put a lesser R value insulation in the house and [name removed], sales manager for Aspen View asked me to accept it and offered I think it was $500 and meal tickets. I rejected the offer and unfortunately made me even more leery of the build. Then no hot water for a week after move in and contractor either electrician or plumber said they knew about the issue prior to close. When repair was done they turned off main house water and sprinkler system then failed to turn sprinklers back on causing several areas of my grass to die before I noticed there was a problem. Some of the grass has come back and they have agreed to replace the dead grass that is not coming back. Had another issue with the hall bath window. The window was in, then it was out. The window was in the tub along with dirt, trash, and a child's spinning top. When asked what the problem was, I was told the framing was not level so they took the window out to level the framing. As a result the tub was damaged and noted during pre close walk. They sent someone in to fix the tub but the tub unfortunately doesn't look new and the surface that he supposedly polished is now dull looking. The tub has not been used and just recently wanted to wash the tub, started with the shower walls with dish soap and microfiber cloth. When I started rinsing the walls dirt and sand started coming out to bottom of the panels onto the tub. Other minor issues after move in is not significant enough to mention.

There’s a lot that was wrong and there are still a lot of things that need to be fixed. The worst is the stove. Nobody checked to make sure it didn’t have a gas leak before the buyer moved in. That meant we had to go 10 days without an oven when we should have had one and nobody will take responsibility and reimburse the food we had to eat out because to of their mistakes. Second range is no better. Still having issues.

Aspen had been extremely helpful in explaining the contract in the beginning. The home that was advertised to me was exactly what I was looking for. If there were any questions I may have about my home, Aspen personnel we’re willing to take their time to further elaborate. Throughout the build of my home, I was given updates weekly. This kept my mind at ease as to what was the current progress.
