Submitted warranty request on June 2022 and have been dealing with the same issue as mentioned in previous review. For months the people handling the warranty sent me around in circles and started to ignore me. For weeks did not have any substantial contact with warranty individual. Strictly texts and would selectively ignore my requests to speak to his supervisor. Called the warranty office and could not reach anybody for a few days. Left voice mails and never received an answer back. Called back a week later and still unable to reach anybody. Decided to block my caller ID and see if [name removed] reach anybody and with the blocked ID was able to get an answer but hung up. Called back without blocking my ID and was unable to reach anybody. Obvious phone screening was happening. Our warranty individual stated on different occasions that they were extremely confident the window will no longer leak without being able to give any clear information on what was done to prevent the leaking. Fortunately several days later there was rain and it leaked again without fail. After telling our warranty individual it leaked again, he attempted to get the dry wall fixed and suggested to monitor instead of finding the root cause of the leak. Rain isn't expected to happen any time soon so I refused this suggestion and asked if we could arrange some days dedicated to finding the cause. He then began to ignore my request to speak to him or his manager. No response was received from him until I was able to get in touch with the director. It has been almost half a year and I still have a leaky window. I will soon be out of my 1 year warranty which is what the warranty team probably wants so they can refuse to fix it.

The people who work for CB Jeni generally dismiss me as an owner. Since closing to the issue with my leaking window, I haven’t been treated with respect or taken seriously. I have also experienced unprofessionalism in addition to being ignored.

[name removed] house warranty and construction manager ([name removed]) were very professional with me. I was taken care of immediately the first time. The salesman ([name removed]) was great to work with. He is very professional and honest. The only thing is I wish they let paint for the trim and doors. The paint still comes off the doors (pantry or closet doors) when they have been closed for a while. Even though the AC is on but have not come on downstairs because the cold air sinks, the doors stick close and when you open them it peels off the paint.

Being in my home almost a year now, I like the area, quality of the workmanship is very satisfied except now that the home has settled and being here through 4 seasons the workmanship of the flooring upstairs is poor. The carpet and padding is not considered a very good upgrade that was suppose to have been an included upgrade. 1) When you walk on the carpet your foot can feel sinkage the pad (which is suppose to be a 5 inches) to the flooring underneath. 2) When walking on carpet in numerous areas it makes loud popping/cracking sounds. 3) You can see lines in the carpet where they were joined together Instead of one continuous cut when it was laid out (for example my hallway).. 4) On the staircase I have stepped on the nails of the boarding that holds down the carpet.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the home. at the time of losing we addressed some of our concerns and they did resolve some. The one that was no addressed at all is the quality of the kitchen cabinets- they are all installed miss-aligned, not in just one directions, some are tilled up some down. I addressed it again at the 15 days walk. Also at at the first rain we had water coming down through the air vent. The construction manager promised will contact the installation crew, roof and HVAC. Nothing was done. I contacted him a couple of time via phone and he never answered back. very disappointed!!!

The more we air in our house we see more and more the quality flaws. Stuff we didn’t initially see when going through walkthrough but items we felt maybe wasn’t worth calling attention to. For example about a third to forty percent of our baseboard don’t match up. There’s couple of gaps in the sheet rock etc. ventilation over the stove hasn’t been good with the smoke alarm going off all the time. We put in a ticket for it back within the first three months but never heard back and have talked to neighbors that have the same issues. I giess compared to the Cambridge homes next to our townhouse are less per square foot than our townhouse so I would have expected at least the same quality of those home’s. [name removed] trying to be negative but answering why I would hesitate to recommend. Overall we’re pleased with the location and how we’ve settled in to the new place.

Miscommunication from the seller and builder from contract to move-in. Told me to reach out to a lender and then pushed back the completion date over a month. Then when completing walk orientation to blue tape issues everything fixed was done so poorly that I wished I didn't even have them fix it. After moving in my fan was on backorder and communication to get the fan installed was all last minute and very inconvenient. A few months after moving in, a water leak was discovered and the individual sent was quick to say it wasn't a build issue and tried to find ways to avoid fixing the problem.

My salesman, [name removed] was always keeping me informed through the process of my home being built. The construction manager [name removed] walked me through and answered questions before and after the closing. [name removed] even followed up with problems or warranty issues I have run across and took care of it immediately. The only dislike I have was not being able to choose and pay for optional upgrades and selecting designs for my home. I also would of like to have other smart technology (Gas Stove which had to be substituted due to supply chain issues).

A lot of the challenges were beyond the control of CB Jeni (COVID). As a new homeowner, I do wish the financial process was a bit clearer. I felt that I had to constantly follow up and ensure that I was in the know… just for GreenBrick to sell my loan to another company within a month. Frustrating but I guess business is business. Overall, I’m happy with my home and the equity that I have.

Loved the people ([name removed] and [name removed] are wonderful) and the amount of transparency was appreciated and left little room for any bad surprises! We found a leak during the first walk through, and while it was thought to be fixed before the 2nd walk through, it has been found as a larger leak after moving in. It is being taken care of quickly now, which is appreciated. Small annoying things still exist like finding objects under the carpet as you start living in the space more. [name removed] was less satisfactory dealing with and understanding. Overall, I can't complain - it is a beautiful build and the process is down to a science here.
