The whole issue of the dead front door bushes, prior to my taking ownership of the home, has been a very sore spot for me, as well as how difficult it has been to have anyone discuss the matter with me. We've had 2 different people come out and look at the brand new dishwasher, to try and get rid of the smell, with no resolution. The house sat dormant for 6 months prior to my taking ownership, which I believe led to the issue with the dishwasher, and the leak I had at the front seat cap area. Lastly, I thought the HOA kept the front and back grounds maintained. I have drive way bushes that got run over by a work truck, that haven't even been noticed. One more thing, our back yard is a swamp, most days, and the ground is so uneven, it's creating a fall risk.

I like the detailed final walk through that explained everything. I hope the unfinished detailed things can be finished faster before closing. We have mud room hooks installed, fixed the powder room floor about 2 weeks after closing.

When we first stopped by the community we were not taken very seriously. It was recommended that we look at another community that had lower prices. If we would have been given more information we likely would have moved in earlier. When we came back the second time we already knew we wanted to be in the neighborhood. We were happy to be committed with a contract, but were very disappointed that our completion date kept getting pushed back. It also seemed like there was not a lot of transparency with the completion date since we would not find out about the date being pushed back until we asked the lender who was receiving different timelines. Another dislike was that we had no flexibility to make changes to the home. Lastly, if feels like the builder does not care once you move in. We have simple questions that go unanswered when we reach out directly to the builder and so far no response to warranty requests.

The construction process was/is a bit challenging. Mistakes were found, which was expected; however, some of the issues seemed avoidable. A lack of attention to detail and lack of care can be felt throughout the home. I hope the warranty claim will take care of these problems. [name removed], my sales manager has been really pleasant to work with. [name removed], my construction manager has been accommodating thus far.

Lack of communication has been somewhat of an issue. Basically, I wouldn't hear much from CB Jeni unless I reach out. However, so far the warranty service/customer care has fixed majority of the issues that were reported. There are still some ongoing issues, such as nail sticking out from the carpet/floor, floors that would squeak or pop as I walk around the second story, loose metal bar underneath the handrail in the game room area, etc. With all that said, I still believe [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] has done a good job thus far.

I felt rushed in the selection of things I wanted in my home after i put down my deposit. I also felt that some things should be standard in a master bathroom of a 3 bedroom townhome (i.e. bathtub and 2 sinks)

Delayed over a year and quality of the home is subpar. Garage door uneven, water leak within 30 days after moved in because then pipe was not tightened correctly (now the cabinet under the sink is ruined), dangerous metal wire coming out of the door (almost scratch my toe), and interior paint job seems like was done by someone not professional. Submitted warranty requests and contacted the construction manager twice and still have not yet received any response. Today is the 30th day. I was told he will reach out before 30 days, but nothing. Very disappointed with this purchase. I’ll definitely not recommending or ask people to stay away from cbjeni if the problems are not fixed.

My home is brand new and feel like things like crack in middle of my garage, the gap on outside of my garage, the garage door area where it’s not painted across top is noticeable . The gap in my attic door. The garage doesn’t seem to be level, the doors seem to be frayed at bottom and top. My backyard doesn’t look taken care of it’s part of HOA but I think it may have not been thoroughly though on placement of concrete and grass or sprinklers are right under the gate. My attic It doesn’t close all the way. I can’t pull it down easily especially the ladder. Minor things. I’d love for all these things to be fixed tho.

Still have items in home that are on the original list that have not been fixed. The underneath of half of our upper cabinets are painted, [name removed] has asked for the paint to complete this ourselves and we can not even get that to do it ourselves. There are some amazing people who work for you all. Follow through and communication is not a strong point of your company.

The previous sales manager [name removed], if I spelled her name right, really sucks. The response is not efficient and the attitude is not acceptable. Everything with her is always last minute urgent. 0 out of 10 [name removed] and [name removed] are super helpful! 10 out of 10

dislike-waiting time to close, follow up fix up taking too long, workers left too much rubbish and wind carried them everywhere in the neighborhood, should have better orientation process, quality of cabinets, carpet padding, and subfloor like-quality of most items and most workmanship, ease of purchase process except the Title company during the closing process, good communication with sales and construction managers

I have had an ongoing issue since closing on 03/02/2021, regarding my dead bushes replacement, with no resolution. Have had other annoying little issues around the home, which are being taken care of, and my HOA account is messed up and no one is calling me back.

Some of the final finish outs were a bit cheap and done sloppily. CB Jeni has resolved most of the items, but over a month after purchase, there are still issues with sliding door, cabinets, etc.

Cabinets are prefinished and of extremely poor quality. The woodgrain shows through black finish. Trim end cuts are not painted and are readily apparent. Black is not a complimentary color for this cabinetry. Builder, [name removed], is excellent - he builds a quality product that meets or excedds the CB JENI reputation.

I had a generally positive experience building my CB [name removed] home. The salesperson at my property was available and kind however, I feel they could have been more forthright with parts of the process leading up to my design center visits. Questions about options pricing were not provided. When I asked for some high level explaination of what to expect about options pricing I.e appliances, my salesperson refused to provide information. I went to a different CB Jeni property and spoke with an associate there who was surprised to here of my experience and opened an option sheet for me and explained this may be different at my property but there is no reason my salesperson could not share this information. I had to drive 30 miles to learn this. Because of this, I lost trust in my interactions with her up until closing. I spent over 350,000 dollars and was under contract and simply wanted to know my options at a high level. After closing, a few issues required input from my construction manager that couldn’t wait 30 days until my next meeting. These were plumbing related. I had to leave 4 voicemails and two emails to get input from the construction manager to find out that the leak in my garage was something he was “aware of” and the plumber would be contacting me. A plumber came out, told me this is in no way plumbing related and left. I still have not received input from the construction manager nor was this defect ever disclosed to me at walk through or before closing. It is now beyond thirty days from move in and I have not been contacted to schedule my Econ’s walk through as agreed. I assume he is busy and will make time, but that has yet to happen. Other than these two interactions, I love my new home. Everyone at CB Jeni has been pleasant to work with generally. Green Brick is a terrific partner and they will get references from me in the future.
