No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. Ease of contact and communication via various channels and points of contact is what I liked most. Moving into an incomplete house that didn’t have functional HVAC system and sleeping through couple of nights of cold winter without heat was what I disliked most.

I enjoyed working with [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] for their diligent walk-through and scheduling steps of the whole process. Things that worked well were online buying, the sales team, and [name removed]. Things that can be done better - Century Home Connect and other demos did not happen or were delayed.

The only issue was not being clear on the exterior colors as we expected we had a say before move-in but it wasn't a deal breaker. The recommended loan officer wasn't the nicest and we had to look elsewhere to process our loan even with losing the incentives.

overall, I had a great experience with all that are involved with the purchase of the home. The only negative experience I had is the sense of urgency close & sign as we approach close of escrow and felt extremely rushed. There were a bunch of stuff left unfinished at signing of keys and it's taking a bit of time to complete it all. The staff was accommodating and provided ample updates and worked with me throughout the whole process. I am grateful for having such an amazing and accommodating staff that helped me throughout the process.

Whole lot of miscommunication and it was always about money and very less friendliness . The worst part was working with the lender .

Had to close escrow with out finishing the work and told that all open items will be taken care once escrow is closed. But later found that I have to work with CS on open items through warranty tickets.. felt like cheated by the Century people

We do like the quality of the home we moved into. However, the completion date was pushed back multiple times and delayed for more than 2 months until we were finally able to move in. Also the house had some issues in the beginning that needed to be fixed: heater turning off regularly, REV ventilation not working in laundry room, issue with stove, and some paint and cement clean up.

There were definitely some communication issues (lack of communication from Sales Office) which was extremely frustrating; however, I was able to set those frustrations aside based on my experience with the Century Team after move-in. [name removed] is phenomenal on all fronts: communication, accountability, customer service, and just an overall great guy who I always see in the neighborhood working extremely hard. If I have any issues, they're immediately addressed, and I have full trust and confidence in JR. [name removed] was also phenomenal during our walk through and made us feel very confident in our home. [name removed] has also been amazing to work with after move-in because she also has great communication and resolution-oriented with any issues that I have.

When we first visited the sales office, the office manager, [name removed], assured us that if we paid a deposit in May 2024 and secured a home, we would receive a washing machine and dryer as part of the offer. Since this was our first time buying a new home, we trusted the company and didn’t think to get the promise in writing. However, when the house was completed, [name removed] was no longer there, and [name removed], who took over, refused to honor the commitment. This is certainly not the kind of experience that builds word-of-mouth recommendations. [name removed] told us to send an email, but he didn’t expect the company to follow through. Worse still, he never even bothered to email us to inform us that they wouldn't honor the promise.
