It was difficult because it was so rigid and some parts were low quality like the sliding glass door fogging up nearly every day and being told that was normal. The siddi g on the back wall of my house not matching from side to side. But overall not a bad little house. I still would like a replacement glass door. I dont think fogging up every day is normal.

The quality of Century Communities homes are not something I would ever recommend to anyone. The only recommendation I would give is to go with another builder. We've had multiple issues since Closing. It's been past a year now since a few weeks ago, but we are still dissatisfied with the end result. For example, the Master Bathroom showerhead still hits the side glass which was one of the major issues when closing the house, where they had to open up the tiles and dehumidify the wood underneath because of a not properly sealed tile/glass in the shower. Because of the leak damage, they had to replace part of the very bottom of sink cabinet nearest to the shower, and the contractor didn't replace the backboard so there's a sizeable long gap which we can feel wind coming through whenever there is a windy day. This was brought up almost a year ago, a few weeks after they did this. When putting in the end of year work order, [name removed] said because it isn't physically visible from where we stand, it is not covered, even though it is the contractor's fault for not replacing it properly after fixing the leak which was also Century's fault. Also for the leak, I know that over time (maybe a year or two) the seal will go bad again and the leak will be an issue for us again. We requested to have the showerhead placed on the other end above the seat to avoid hitting the glass, but [name removed] said he put it in our request but Century Communities declined it, yet we know from the neighborhood that they did it for other houses.

Everything was fine. It’s unfortunate because of our times that it took longer than normal and the only other thing that is upsetting is that we closed and it’s been a few weeks after closing and the house still isn’t fully completed. We understand it’s no one‘s fault it’s just still upsetting but that is literally the only complaint that I have. Everything else was/is absolutely amazing!

[Translated from ES] It was a good experience, especially that I had no problem with the seller [name removed], on the contrary she helped me a lot.

Dislikes: 1) High turnover of sales staff which led to inability to have a consistent POC 2) High turnover of builder staff which led to inability to have a consistent POC 3) Little recourse with addressing items on pre-drywall inspection done by our 3rd party inspector 4) During construction of house, subfloor was constantly exposed to rain and freezing temperatures without any mitigation 5) Century refused to budge on moving the closing date even though the house was not ready for a proper blue tape inspection a week before close 6) The day of close, our "final" walkthrough couldn't be adequately done because there were still so many unfinished items. Closing time was pushed out an hour and a half so that builder could obtain Certificate of Occupancy. 7) Fit and finish of the house is poor. Here is our current list of unfinished items: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vTx_DXJdfxpCh5HWzSzP6N83XBj__NH-XO_fBJuuPy_aHZj3ZXoMT8bpKzjC3WOxu3zxJDwyMhSoVAu/pubhtml?urp=gmail_link 8) Century upper management clearly had one goal in mind and that was to close this house before the end of Q3, 2021 to meet numbers. They did this to the detriment to the quality of the product we received and should be ashamed of themselves. Likes: 1) Our construction contacts, [name removed] and [name removed] as well as our most recent Sales contact, [name removed] have all been trying their best to help accommodate our requests as quickly as possible.

There was an issue with a separation wall between my unit and my neighbor that I was told would be taken care of. Century then came back and said they refused to do anything and it’s been an ordeal the entire time.

During the year that we had to get things fixed I never got my tiles that were cracked replaced. I called multiple times and never was able to get a hold of someone. Also there are so many crickets in the garage its ridiculous.

It wasnt a nightmare but there were items that did not get finished before closing and items still not finished/repaired since the closing two weeks ago.

We were rushed to move in because century wanted to meet its quarter end quota and cares more about their stock gains than their customers. Our yard landscaping was not complete. We paid for a larger concrete patio to be poured and it was done incorrectly. We paid to have an RV pad poured and it was not communicated to landscaping. The landscapers then put down sprinkler lines on our side yard and didn’t cap anything which then flooded our basement. Maybe if century cared more about their clients and not their fucking stockholders, it would have been a better experience. I would never refer you to anyone. The only somewhat saving grace is [name removed]. She is AMAZING and we are super happy with her in all she does.

We had several issues with our home. Honestly is was disappointing as this was our first new build. Fortunately working with [name removed] from the warranty company brought back my faith that I was dealing with a builder who stands behind their homes and all the issues we had were addressed and taken care.

Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.
