Well it was a pain to get repairs done. Fortunately, before closing, we stopped by after a rain and discovered a leak in the garage. Century argued against there being an issue at all which prompted us to then hire an inspector who found a roof leak. The roofer, while my wife and FIL were there, tried to only flash halfway down. The superintendent said that was fine...but my FIL told them it wasn't. All-in-all they eventually repaired the issues on the inspector's report despite making my wife feel gaslit. -- Two and a half weeks after closing the neighbor's main leaked and caused half our yard including under the driveway to sink almost 2 feet. What should have happened was that Century took responsibility for not compacting the dirt well enough, fill in the hole, have the plumbing raised back up, topping off the fill and covering back with sod. They did ZERO (0) of that. Instead my neighbor and I had to spend our own money to fill in the sinkhole. -- It then happened again with our water main (not surprised), but this time a small area only sunk about 1-2 inches. Century still did not repair that. To this day, our plumbing is sunk way below where it should be, at an awkward angle, and with valves buried. -- Not a good look for Century.

Let me start with, so far, I don't have any dislikes. The what I like the most, is that this process was soooo easy and fast. Everyone from the sales rep, loan process, the contractor, the realtor, and closing crew were great.

My experience purchasing was smooth and positive. From the contracts to the walk throughs, all of my questions were answered and I was given organized and helpful information for the features and warranties of the home. Everyone I worked with was great, [name removed] and Trip were excellent with communication and helping troubleshoot the move in questions that I had.

Like: [name removed] and [name removed] were very helpful and responsive while I was considering buying a home. I'm grateful that they provided me with all of the disclosures early in the process so I had time to digest them, since there was a lot of information. [name removed] continued to keep me updated on the progress of my home as it was being built. Dislike: It was difficult to get much information about the closing process and what to expect. [name removed] has been awesome since moving in, but during the walkthrough, he spoke directly to my realtor and even shook her hand first when congratulating (me) on my purchase. I felt like I wasn't there.

I liked the new home orientation and the warranty program. I liked that I was given the opportunity to confirm that any cosmetic concerns I had were immediately addressed. I liked the aesthetic of the community, and the dog park on premises. I did not like that it was hard to communicate with my sales rep at certain times post contract signing. I did not like that I was initially misled as to where my property line was pre contract signing, verses what it actually was, post contract signing. I do not like that I am very concerned about my safety in this community. I do not like that Century was fully about that this area is dangerous and did not take proper measures to ensure the safety of the new homeowners. I do not like that security concerns for Century staff, in the form of an actual officer being on property, while staff was working, was not extended to us, the new homeowners. There was clearly a security concern that was prioritized for the staff, but not the community and new homeowners at large. Once the sales office was closed, the cameras, and police security was also gone. Since that time, there has been an uptick in criminal activity here at [name removed] Creek. As I type this, there is a police car that has been assigned to post at 981 [name removed] [name removed], due to gang activity constantly breaking into the vacant home. I do not feel safe here and regret purchasing in this community. Century bares the responsibility to ensure the safety of their community, as they did for their staff.

I loved our sales agent from the start. He was knowledgeable, fun and engaging all at the same time. I felt I could ask him any questions and was very comfortable at every step of the building/buying/dreaming process.

I liked that the builder was very open to listening to me and answered any questions I had. He helped me through and through and made me feel less stressed about buying the home. I liked how century was walking me through the steps of the home buying process and gave me reminders too. I felt welcomed in the community as soon as I stepped into the office and didn’t feel like a number to them. We were joking and being ourselves and that’s what I liked about it instead of being really serious and feeling like I’m just a dollar sign walking into the office.
