Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

I like that it was a one stop shop for everything and making the decisions as a first homebuyer easy. I disliked the lack of communication with our realtor being that its our first home purchase and the short amount of time that we needed to close.

The process was extremely straightforward and seamless. [name removed] our Builder sales rep was great throughout the pre-contract and contract stages. [name removed] has been amazing ever since meeting him during the orientation walk. He explained everything very well to us. He walked us through everything. He went above and beyond to make sure the house was handed over to us in perfect condition. After moving in if I had questions or concerns he’s quick to respond and resolve.

What I Liked: [name removed]’s Support: [name removed] was incredibly helpful throughout the process. She was proactive in addressing our concerns and rescheduling the closing date, ensuring clear communication and a supportive experience. [name removed]’s Assistance: [name removed] from the warranty team was polite, knowledgeable, and responsive, answering all our questions satisfactorily. Timely Documentation: The process of signing necessary documents and wiring the money was straightforward and efficient. What I Disliked: Unresolved Issues: Despite providing an inspection report and conducting an orientation walk, many issues remained unresolved during the final walkthrough. This included paint spots, non-functional bathroom extractor, scratched bathtub, and damaged door knobs. Unprofessional Conduct: [name removed]'s behavior during the final walkthrough was highly unprofessional. He moved quickly, didn’t listen to our comments or questions, and abruptly left the house after expressing frustration, even swearing at my realtor. Cleanliness: The house was extremely dirty during the final walkthrough, which was disappointing and unexpected. Lack of Demonstrations: We were not shown how to operate essential features like the sprinklers, garage door, and dryer, which had already been flagged in the inspection report as needing attention. Overall, while there were positive interactions with some team members, the experience was marred by unresolved issues and unprofessional behavior, leading to concerns about the management of the project
