Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

Overall, my experience with Century Communities has been positive. The home design is modern and functional, and the community layout feels welcoming and well planned. The buying process was fairly smooth, and the team was responsive during key steps. Like any new build, there were a few minor items that needed attention after move-in, but they were addressed. I appreciate the quality of the finishes and the thoughtful use of space throughout the home. I am loving my experience and can't wait to purchase the next one.

Purchasing my home with Century Communities was truly an amazing experience overall. Buying a home can sometimes feel overwhelming, but their professionalism, communication, and care made it feel exciting instead. [name removed] was incredibly attentive and always made sure I felt informed and confident. [name removed] brought such warmth and reassurance throughout the process, and [name removed] was consistently proactive and solution-oriented whenever anything came up. I will say, the escrow portion of the process felt a bit slow at times and there were moments where communication wasn’t as clear as I would have liked, which was a little disappointing. That said, the support from [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] truly stood out and made a big difference in the overall experience. I’m grateful to have worked with a team that genuinely cares. They are the best — and I would absolutely recommend working with them.

My overall experience was positive. [name removed] was professional, supportive, and helpful throughout the process, and I truly appreciated her responsiveness and assistance. While there were a few challenges along the way, particularly with the loan officer’s lack of communication, which caused some frustration and uncertainty, [name removed] remained attentive and worked to help address concerns as they arose. Overall, I appreciated the effort and support provided.

We are very happy with our new home. The entire process of purchasing the home went very smoothly and the communication with sales staff was great. Our home is constructed very well and the architectural design is amazing with few connected wall's and a very nice layout. I would recommend Century to my friends.

This is our first home purchase. We've heard so many horror stories about home buying that we were so nervous about this process. Turns out, this transaction was near painless. [name removed] has been and continues to be an amazing resource for answering all of our little questions. The construction for the rest of the condos in our lot do not bother us at all - the house is well-insulated. The construction crews in the area are also friendly and conscientious about the people living in the community already, which is greatly appreciated. We've already been recommending Century Homes to our friends who are looking around.

When we first entered into the contract, the experience was very positive. Everything felt well-organized, the process seemed straightforward, and we felt we were getting a great deal. At that stage, I genuinely expected the purchase to be smooth from start to finish. However, as the home neared completion, the experience changed significantly. There was a strong push to close escrow quickly, which created a sense of urgency that felt unnecessary and, in hindsight, counterproductive. Communication between departments broke down, despite the fact that both the lender and escrow were selected by the seller. We often received conflicting information, unclear timelines, and last-minute changes that added stress to what should have been an exciting milestone. We are currently dealing with a leaking roof, which has prevented us from properly moving into our new home. While the team on the ground has been responsive and genuinely trying their best to make the situation workable, it feels like many of the challenges stem from decisions and coordination issues at a higher level. There appears to be a lack of clear accountability and consistent communication once the focus shifted to closing. Overall, the early part of the process was strong, but the final phase—from completion through move-in—has been frustrating and disappointing. Better coordination, transparency, and a less rushed approach at the end would have made a significant difference in our experience.
