No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.

Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

When we first entered into the contract, the experience was very positive. Everything felt well-organized, the process seemed straightforward, and we felt we were getting a great deal. At that stage, I genuinely expected the purchase to be smooth from start to finish. However, as the home neared completion, the experience changed significantly. There was a strong push to close escrow quickly, which created a sense of urgency that felt unnecessary and, in hindsight, counterproductive. Communication between departments broke down, despite the fact that both the lender and escrow were selected by the seller. We often received conflicting information, unclear timelines, and last-minute changes that added stress to what should have been an exciting milestone. We are currently dealing with a leaking roof, which has prevented us from properly moving into our new home. While the team on the ground has been responsive and genuinely trying their best to make the situation workable, it feels like many of the challenges stem from decisions and coordination issues at a higher level. There appears to be a lack of clear accountability and consistent communication once the focus shifted to closing. Overall, the early part of the process was strong, but the final phase—from completion through move-in—has been frustrating and disappointing. Better coordination, transparency, and a less rushed approach at the end would have made a significant difference in our experience.

[name removed] was always pleasant and easy to work with. The staff ([name removed], [name removed]) at Inspire Loans made the loan process simple and easy to navigate. My only dislike was nothing any of the staff could change. I wish I could the option to customize some things. But, I understand why that was not available.

I appreciated how responsive and supportive the team was once we were under contract. The explanations during escrow were generally clear, and the final walkthrough and move-in process went smoothly. Having guidance through each step helped reduce a lot of stress as a first time buyer.

Not getting the keys/closing escrow as soon as what was said to be and still having construction manager have to go in the home to replace condensor again after there was already a delay of getting it.
