No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

I liked the floor plan the most. I feel like it’s spacious where it matters most, love the primary bed and bath, second living space, and a very nice kitchen. Not many dislikes, but I did recommend one more vent in the primary bedroom. I think with some careful optimization of the registers throughout the house, we’ll get the temp just right. The CM, [name removed], was very receptive to the suggestion. We love our home so far and are very proud of it. [name removed] was a good listener regarding what was keeping us from buying at first, but stayed kindly persistent, making sure we knew of any updated info on the houses. She spent a lot of time with us.

What we appreciated most throughout the process was the exceptional customer service and follow-through provided by [name removed], our sales representative, and [name removed], the Superintendent. Both have been extremely accommodating, friendly, and responsive. They consistently answered our questions, followed up when needed, and worked to make sure our concerns were addressed. Their communication and willingness to help greatly contributed to a positive experience. Our experience with the warranty representative was somewhat less satisfactory. We felt that the presentation and process were not as effective as they could have been. At times, it seemed that he was not as familiar with the home and its details as we expected, and we found communication to be somewhat difficult. Our questions were not always answered directly, which left us uncertain about some of the information being presented. We were also uncomfortable being asked to verbally trust the information while, at the same time, being asked to sign documents without having a clear opportunity to review the documentation and fully understand the expectations. We did not feel completely confident about what we were being asked to sign. Fortunately, [name removed] was able to help restore our confidence by following up through email, answering our questions, and working with the appropriate team members to make sure our concerns were addressed. His continued communication and follow-through made a significant difference in our overall experience.

I liked how smooth and professional the purchase process was from signing the contract through move-in. Communication was good, and the staff was helpful when I had questions. I especially appreciated that the process was organized and that the home was ready for move-in as expected.

Overall the experience was good, our offer was agreed to almost instantly. Constant updates during build, great process. Only thing that went wrong was the landscaping being missed due to property line and waited almost 2 weeks after move in and the landscapers had messed up that too.

The house plan is not what I wanted. The price was inflated, negotiations were in bad faith. I had an agent and was advised it wouldn’t necessarily work to my advantage. I came in excited that I was going to get it at $544k but ended up getting $552999. So that pissed the f out of me off! However, The process of getting approved was smooth and [name removed] and his team did a great job of helping me understand FHA regulations. The escrowing process was smooth and easy. I love that I have a year of warranty. The house is homely. It’s a construction zone so I knew it was going to be loud but these guys are working up from 7pm to 10pm which is frustrating. Overall, I am happy that I am here.

we enjoyed working with the site manager and the sales associate ([name removed] and [name removed]). They were very patient and kind. The things I don't like are just a lot of unknowns until you move in-the house is a little too smart for me and is taking some trial and error. Finding small issues but nothing major, which was expected and we are confident will be resolved. We love our home

Discovered a larger chip/chunk out of the concrete entrance at move-in but after the final walk-though. Doesn’t seem like it will get taken care of since all the concrete has been laid for the other homes being developed in the neighborhood.

We like the community. Disliked some of the misleading on what was provided with the home and credits towards the home but had to use all of your lenders and title company to get it. Was misleading at times

While everyone throughout the process was very nice, there was a significant lack of disorganization and transparency throughout the process. It took an unnecessary amount of time for us to get answers to basic questions and the representative kept pushing us off saying it was on other departments. While other departments would state she should know the answer to them. I had reached out to the regional manager as well as the VP of sales who did not acknowledge my concerns via email or call me back. [name removed] and [name removed] have been the most helpful answering questions and making us feel comfortable even on "before close" items. It is over two weeks post closing and I still have no answers to my questions that have taken place since I signed my purchase agreement.
