No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

I was not informed I was purchasing a home with septic tanks instead of public water. I was disapointed, no fans, no towel racks, no shelving in the laundry room. A tree was planted right next to the house itself; that does not make any sense!

I have some mixed feelings about the transaction. Nicholis, [name removed], [name removed](IHL) made and continue to make the process very streamline and easy however,, [name removed] gave erroneous and deceiving information. First offered a rate and when the lender contacted me they stated they were done offering that rate(resolved). Then she had stated that she was authorized by her manager to make deals and we negotiated a reduction in price to then come back and state they cannot honor that(never resolved closed at original price). She also stated that all appliances will have 2 years of warranty (1 year with century complete and 1 year with the manufacturer) information was incorrect it is just 1 year from registration with the manufacturer. We had also spoke about closing the sale in February due to current living situation and obligations in which she agreed to, We were forced to close on January. Whom ever supervises her role should consider retraining (if the issue is knowledge) or a conversation on the standards and policies that real business stand on.

I did not like the lack of communication during the process. I did not like being told the day before our original closing date that we no longer can purchase the home. Then having to find a different home to move into.

I like the loan officer [name removed] was very knowledgeable and walk me through every step of the way what I didn’t like was the miscommunication when I came to closing due to the hurricane

Inspire Home Loans was a nightmare to deal with, then we had plumbing issues that are still ongoing. We had appliances die already, and cabinets didn't have handles. Not one ceiling fan included, and no gutters. The people who are in charge of warranty are amazing and have helped us out a lot. They have gone out of their way to fix issues as they arise.

Very smooth. It was unfortunate having to change from a $2,000 earnest to a $4,000 because of outside lender. But we made it work.

IMPERFECTIONS 80% FIXED, BUT NOT100%. CLOSING DATES SHOULD BE FLEXIBLE IF NEEDED. ON A FIXED RATE VA LOAN, I SHOULD GET THE BEST RATE, NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR ORIGINALLY (2% DIFF.) ANSWER ALL TECHNICAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROPERTY SUCH AS THE SURVEY PROPERTY QUESTIONS, DEPTH OF THE WELL, WHERE LATTERAL LINES RUN EXACTLY, MAILBOXES IN MY FRONT YARD. ETC

The connection with loan officer was a bit broken. But anytime I went to [name removed] the sales consultant, she would have everything figured out for me and everyone contacted with answers very promtly. She has been the best one to work with. She really deserves and has earned her position with the company.
