We’ve had several issues after moving in. Overall it seems like a well built home.

[Translated from ES] Nothing, honestly we had read negative comments about this company, we still decided to give it a try. And they were right. Everything is very badly done.Thank you.

I like the experience know better now about purchasing a home that should fit your my needs. I disliked the rush to close that result in leaving me with unfinished windows and other little things like a broken sink in the half bathroom.

when I did the final walkthrough [name removed] promised that the issues would be fixed, but they have not been fixed currently. I have even considered hiring a handy man to come and fix the issues.

I paid my earnest money in February. I did not receive any updates on the home until April after I sent a request. The day of my initial walk through, the house had been broken into and the refrigerator was stolen and the floors were damaged because the refrigerator was dragged. The garage door was also damaged. I believe they were able to get into the home because the garage was up and the garage door was unlocked. [name removed] the rep from Century assured me that the areas marked with tape, the damaged floors, and the refrigerator would all be fixed and replaced. My final walk through and closing were scheduled a week later on the same day. The floors, the garage door, and the blue tapes areas were not done. I do not understand why Century keep my walk through on that day if nothing had been done. Century also failed to secure the certificate of occupancy so there was no way to close. My time was completed wasted because Century knew I could not close and instead and pushing back my closing today until the CO was received and the repairs were done, Century allowed me to waste my time. Century assured me the floors would be done the next and advised they would update me. After going all day with no update, I drove to the home and again the door was unlocked. I was able to walk in and see that the floors were done but the garage door was still damaged. I then received another closing date 2 days later. I did another walk through. The garage door was still damaged and they were still doing paint touch ups. [name removed] was not remorseful about his actions and took no accountability. I spoke with the regional director and he gave directions to the construction team and he was able to get the repairs taken care of. This was after I complained. Two days after I moved in I noticed the pipe under my sink was leaking and the dish washer is not working. I checked the dishwasher on the day of my final walk through and it was fine. This was a horrible process and I will never buy from Century again.

We disliked some of the communication. Our Sales [name removed] would not call/email back when we had questions. We were originally told by our Sales [name removed] that we would be getting sod for our yard, when in reality we are receiving hydroseed. Just a lot of items that were not known by the Sales [name removed]. Our contract manager [name removed] was great! Took great care of us and made the experience better for us.

I did not like the lack of communication. Response times took longer than expected. I did like the fact that both [name removed] and [name removed] listened to my concerns. I did not feel as if I was just a number. ??

House is good quality. Only complaints come from the overall communication and experience. We do enjoy our new home.

it was pretty smooth, the only thing was the question of it being in a flood plane.

I didn’t like the lack of communication between the builder agent and myself once I was under contract. I felt as though the information was not always accurate. I loved the communication between myself and my loan officer. [name removed] (loan officer) was very helpful and very responsive.

Didn't like that our rate wasn't locked in on time. The purchase of the house came in under the asking price, right before closing. Very stressful situation.

Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.
