[Translated from ES] The house met the expectations of 4 bedrooms

The house came out great, but I had liked it if I was given some options on some of the things, for example, having carpet or not.

I liked the affordable price. I still need some minor things to get done. I was very disappointed that the refrigerator wasn’t included.

I understand that dates and times were not communicated very well between lender and century, but the status of the house as far as cleanliness when we moved in was unacceptable. Cobwebs, dust, bugs, not great

There is definitely signs that the home was rushed. Overall no big issues.

[name removed] was a complete jerk, as though she didn’t even want us to purchase the home; she was yelling at the top of her voice not only to my husband demanding he apply for the in house lender even though we began the process very clearly pre approved for financing and never indicated otherwise, she also got into a yelling match with the manager of our lending company - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and bullying. The home itself is bottom of the barrel in regard to workmanship and quality; our water for instance is barely lukewarm, our yard will apparently be finished (rough, chunky, unusable dirt right now) sometime within the next TWO YEARS?!? Our kids have no place to be outside because of the company’s nonchalance about a home that was supposed to be ready to sell, cabinets were installed illogically with cabinets opening into the wrong way, bathroom and other doors are unable to be closed or opened because they were hung poorly, the siding will leak and mold because fittings were installed in front of rather than correctly behind the vinyl….I could go on and on, but it’s bare minimum to sell a house. Horrible “quality”.

I disliked not being allowed to make a time to come to the site to see my home being built. The yard was left with trash on the ground and a shingles bag still in the tree. The site wasn’t prepped for sod and huge chunks of gravel left where seed was thrown. Grading was not sufficient and erosion run off has created two deep ruts across our yard on either side and has wiped the seed down the hill and the erosion ditch grows and washes more sand and soil to the back of the yard.

I was very satisfied with [name removed], the sales manager. He kept us up to date as to the progression of the build. I was not satisfied with the builder manager, [name removed], who I understand no longer works for Century. He was very slow to respond to requests and queries. The current build manager, [name removed] is fantastic! He is very responsive, professional and courteous. He went out of his way to satisfy any concerns we had.

missed a lot of issues during walk thru, you cut cost be eliminating small but major things, no knobs on cabinets, no peek through front door, cheap vinyl flooring, back yard a mess beyond sod, and mmany many more

I purchased my home online, and there is little to no virtual presentation of the house i.e no pictures of the house both interior and exterior. And there is a lack of marking on where my property lines are.

[name removed] communication was lacking in every aspect of the purchase that we have made, no updates from anybody as to what is happening and where we are in the process. [name removed] house's wall and paint are so fragile that it gets holes with just a simple tap and paint comes off when we try to wipe it off. Our house also got flooded on our 7th day of moving in. It is just so frustrating. [name removed] landscaping hasn't been done either, there's a slope of mud in my backyard that could probably send one of us to a hospital especially when it's raining, still no update nor communication as to when they will do it. We have been staying in this house for exactly 18 days and all it's been issues after issues.

I like that I own a home. I dislike that I chose Century Complete to build my home. The door sticks, the roof shingles are coming off and I do not have any reference as to who I can reach out to. I felt like I was a number and once the deposit was made, I was left to the mercy of Century Complete's lack of customer service, lack of communication and lack of commitment to delivery any satisfaction. I would not recommend Century Complete to my enemy. I hope someone reaches out to me and tell me how to get someone to assist with the things that are wrong with my house.

There was a lack of communication in many areas and the punchlist was not completed prior to move-in. There were many items that were not complete and poorly completed. The wrong keys were given to me, defective equipment was in the property, emergency claims due to water leakage and the HVAC were not returned for days, etc.

I did not like the color of the house, but I love the inside of the house and it’s a decent size home for me and my dog.

There are still some issues I will need to address through warrantee.

Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.
