Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:...read more

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted...read less

Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

Fellsmere, FL, on Jul 31, 2026

Among my concerns were the following: MLS Accuracy: The MLS listing identified the property as having well water, when in fact the home is served by city water. This was not discovered until closing day, resulting in an unexpected monthly utility expense that I had neither anticipated nor budgeted for. Additionally, the MLS listed the address as [name removed] Street when the correct address is simply [name removed] Street. Subdivision Information: While the MLS correctly identified the subdivision, the purchase contract and closing paperwork continued to reference Vero Lake Estates instead of the correct subdivision, Fellsmere Farms. I brought this discrepancy to the sales consultant's attention at the time the contract was written, yet it was never corrected during the transaction. My greatest concern, however, was the handling of the closing. I signed the contract on June 11, and it became fully executed on June 15. Based on those dates, we discussed with your sales consultant what was anticipated to be approximately a 30-day closing, which would have brought us to mid-July. I requested that closing occur after July 6 due to my agent's long-standing international travel plans so that she could personally attend the homeowner orientation, final walkthrough, and closing. Despite those discussions, the closing was initially scheduled for June 30. The title company then advised that the closing would need to move into July because the title search had not yet been completed. Shortly thereafter, the closing was moved back to June 30. [name removed], who had been designated in advance to cover the transaction during my agent's absence, were kept informed as requested. As a result, she was out of the country and unable to represent me during the most important stages of the transaction, while [name removed] was left trying to step into a constantly changing situation without being kept in the loop. I experienced significant anxiety throughout the process, much of which could have been avoided with better communication and coordination. Most concerning, no one confirmed the homeowner orientation with me causing me to miss it entirely. That should never happen in a new construction transaction. As a result, we were left with multiple unresolved warranty concerns, including a sulfur odor in the water heater, a non-functioning dishwasher (was never wired during installation), flooring noise, and a front door lock that repeatedly unlocks itself. Unfortunately, responses from both the builder and the warranty department have been inconsistent, ranging from no response at all to referrals back to the manufacturer or incorrect information. I appreciate you taking the time to read my comments. My hope is that they will be viewed as constructive feedback and used to improve the experience for future buyers and their agents.

Easy and fast process, the 1 thing I dislike is that I referred my cousin [name removed] to century being told I would receive referral payment and have now been told it was denied even after my cousin closed on his house

Everything and everyone was great to work with - process was straightforward. [name removed] was the BEST sales rep - his communication was amazing and his response time incredible. [name removed] was also amazing at keeping us updated about construction process and teaching us about our home. The only person we had issues with was [name removed] - she was very unresponsive for weeks at a time and her emails were curt and did not resolve any issues. She refused to accommodate any of the requested days or times for closing. Then we had to find out about a delay in closing from the lender, not the closing office, during an exchange in documents, less than 24 hours before the original date, due to a very foreseeable delay on the builder’s end with county permitting. It is apparent she may be overworked as communication was not efficient, and it was much better and easier to communicate directly with Parkway Title, [name removed] (sales), [name removed] (construction) and even directly contact our notary sent by [name removed] to get information and get appointments scheduled.

From start to finish i had a good experience with everything. I would like to have had more effort into fixing the red tape finding. Looks like a lot of it was painted over.

The process was not informative. I had to ask all the questions and left out many I didn’t think of asking.

While the home itself meets expectations, the purchasing experience was disappointing due to marketing discrepancies that were not honored. The price advertised on the builder’s website did not match the purchase agreement, and advertised pricing was not honored. Additionally, website advertising led us to believe we were locked into a fixed interest rate, but later we learned it was actually an ARM, which was not clearly disclosed. Despite escalation attempts by my realtor, we were told nothing could be done, leaving us feeling undervalued. For such a significant purchase, clearer communication and honoring advertised terms would have made a meaningful difference in the overall experience. On a positive note, we had a washer issue over the Christmas holiday, and [name removed] went above and beyond to address it promptly, staying in contact and providing timely updates all while on vacation. [name removed] was helpful, informative, and welcoming during our initial walkthrough. [name removed] was very responsive throughout the process, though he frequently referenced this survey during our conversations. It’s also noteworthy to mention [name removed], our loan officer provided great customer service and was very informative as well.
