Bad build, too quick to get the homes up, not concerned with the quality

A few things were not covered during the building of my home that would have swayed the lot I selected and building selections I decided to opt out of would have been kept had I known this information.

They lack of care with Classic to build a home with the level of expectations that should come with the name Classic...your craftsmanship, is sloppy abd unjustified

First and foremost, our purchase experience was exceptional. Everyone we worked with at the sales office was polite and professional. Cara Thurman was particularly great to work with, and we recommend her highly. Two issues that have occurred since we moved in have been disappointing and somewhat alarming. The first relates to the carpeting. We understand that the carpet is "builder grade," but it was poorly installed. There are sharp areas on the carpet where my family has had cuts on their feet. The carpet is coming up on the edges and fraying. We had a warranty person out recently who mentioned that the problem was because we moved furniture on the carpet. That, however, is incorrect, as we voiced concerns before we moved in. The quality of the carpet, particularly the installation, is not commensurate with the quality of the rest of the home. The other concern was brought to Jim Boulton, Classic VP/Project Manager, in August concerning a theft at 6134 Eagle Creek that ultimately resulted in several arrests. We phoned police along with neighbors during the robbery, and they eventually came to the scene long after the incident had occurred. I mentioned to Jim that we were literally "sitting ducks" and that the thieves ignored the large and numerous signs about "trespassing not allowed" and "site under surveillance." I suggested that an actual security presence would make residents less fearful of burglars and having our places broken into in the future as the open construction homes attract thieves. He commented that it was too expensive for Classic to incur that cost. Overall that was a very disappointing answer and one that I believe should be reconsidered. Sincerely, Rich LaMarre

Everything's been incredibly smooth - from shopping to move in, we've been impressed with Classics level of professionalism and follow through. We're new to the area and our first relocation in 30 years, and couldn't be happier with our selection.
