There was only one issue: the location of my house as measured from the curb relative to to all other homes in the row wasn't disclosed to me at the time of contract, which ended up altering the field of view from the back patio. I completely understand the need to follow all city guidelines and my understanding is the setback was a prescribed distance for this neighborhood according to the approved city plans. That said, my home wasn't oriented the way I felt like I had been led to believe it would be, and given that I had the choice of lot when I signed, I felt a little misled. I also felt like when I did bring it up, my concern wasn't taken as seriously as I would have liked. In the end, however, Classic opted to give me a $1,000 discount on my lot premium, which they absolutely did not have to do. I bring this up because it may be wise to add to the contract/discussion with the sales managers that foundation is a set distance from the curb and may not look like the site map. This will just manage expectations and eliminate any perception of hiding the football. I also bring this up here because how Classic chose to handle the situation at the end was very classy (pun intended) and with one gesture, turned a potentially negative situation into an extremely positive one.

I had a great experience. Even when things arose that I wasn’t expecting, they were handled professionally and resolved to my satisfaction. The warranty is excellent - when I’ve needed something addressed, I get a call right away.

Liked: the sales staff, the construction superintendent, the communication, the quality of the Midtown at Cottonwood design. Improvements: a little quicker response time to emails and phones. Overall, very good.

Very responsive when dealing with warranty. However, some of the subcontractors have been extremely late when scheduled which is frustrating when I coordinate with work.

My home is wonderful. I love it. My only complaint is that the floor bounces and rattles things when I walk around. As an engineer, I'd recommend increasing the size of the floor joists to reduce this.

The whole process was so smooth and easy. Everyone from the sales agents (Julie and Cara) to the design studio and meeting with the contractor (Dan), we’re so friendly and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner. I had a great experience.

Liked- Warranty pro James Leyba, sales team was easy to work with Disliked: Quality control of new build. Examples: tile work, paint, framing, trim, roofing, etc.

I liked the easy to understand options for my home and John did a wonderful job walking us through the house, helping us fix small issues, and more. There are small quality problems that came after moving in, for example: I had to take out one of our toilet paper holders as it wasn’t anchored to the drywall. It was falling out of the wall after just days of light use. Further quality assurance of commonly used items would be helpful to prevent issues from arising.

I'd expect a little bit more care on details for this price range, e.g. backsplash in the kitchen, non-plastic toilet seats, painted walls in the garage, landscaping done before the move-in....

All stages of the building experience was staffed with friendly and helpful people. Cara, Julie, Jon and Woody come to mind. Only dislikes or concerns were the discrepancies that were not fixed after they were identified and taped during the final inspection and follow up inspections. It appears the blue tape used to mark trouble spots were just taken off without the issue being addressed.

From new home specialists to construction superintendents, people who work for Community Homes have been extremely helpful and personable. They did not rush my home inspection and actually pointed out minor interior and exterior concerns that I failed to see. I also thought What to Expect Next document provided by Cara Jones and Julie Whittle was extremely helpful in figuring out next steps especially as a first time home buyer.

It was straightforward contacting the warranty department and arranging an appointment at my home about 60 days after the closing. The warranty team and contractors were able to address most of the minor issues I had with my home.

Not too much, problems with the quality of the work when we did are closing walk through. You did however fix all issues but it took close to a month after closing to fix all issues. The sales people were very accommodating.
