The landscaping, specifically the colors of the rocks and the design. Also, the neighbor right across the street has the same model and the same home color scheme. It’s ridiculous. In talking with other Classic sales staff, they have said it shouldn’t have happened but my salesperson said it was allowed. I want to change my home colors

Delayed products and lack of communication post purchase. Our front porch light doesn't work, our bathroom door doesn't lock, our front doors ability to unlock and lock from an app doesn't work, our fridge still hasn't been delivered but one of my friends who lives in the same community has gotten his fridge which is the same brand and model.

Price of the home was affordable and the quality. The only thing I dislike was that it took to long to move in. At times nothing was done for a week or so. But other than that were very satisfied with our home.

Fence gate has been "fixed" three times, and is now broken. We are unclear how/when it will be fixed. Also, our front door latch is cracked (which has also been "fixed," and I'm glad we took pictures, or it would have been deemed "cosmetic," or inferred that we caused the problem. Malachi is easy to work with, but it appears our two issues happened in construction. So, I think it is going to be fixed finally.

classic has been very proactive when a question or problem has arisen. Waiting on further work on the electricity and continue to have ongoing problems with water depositing at the base of our driveway. This water seems to accumulate from neighbors up the block from us and presents a problem that each time we drive into our garage we bring water and mud from what's deposited at the base of our driveway. We realize we're the basin from homes East of us, but believe there has to be a remedy as winter is about to arrive.

The warranty service was great. What I don't like about the house is the south side. It will be very difficult to wash windows, spray and pull weeds without falling. You should have built a retaining wall that I suggested many times. The other problem is I could only select 2 colors of tile for bathrooms and laundry room. Very ugly cheap tile I think. I could have gone to Home Depot and both better tile. I would very much appreciate it if you could put in a small retaining wall on the south side. I can't walk on it without slipping. Everyone agrees.

Overall I am very pleased with my home and the service I have received from Classic except for one issue that does not really have to do with the home itself. The one negative issue I have is Classic’s determination where sod will used or native grass in the common areas and in front of the rows of houses. If one’s home is on the perimeter of the neighborhood they are give native grasses right outside their front door, while the interior homes are afforded sod. Unfortunately being on a corner lot I am totally surrounded by native grasses that is really at least 50% weeds. Hopefully Classic will review future developments to ensure all homeowners are provided equally when it comes to sod and not based on where one choses to have your home built. Even though the native grasses are very unsightly, I can see the use for it in large open spaces. But using it directly within 15 feet of people front porch I find totally unacceptable.

We felt the office staff were super nice and always helpful. Andy, the finishing contractor contact, was Excellent and went above and beyond from our Drywall Inspection through the final inspection. He was courteous and well organize to address all of our needs. He was apologetic when things did not go as planned and quickly made it right. The only disappointment was the outside color. We purchased the last home in this neighborhood and we only got to change the outside color scheme. The "Hartford Grey" color is the problem because it is GREEN. Andy did verify the color and application of the color and it is Sherwin Williams color name that is confusing. We looked at the small sample in the office, but we were under the impression it was going to be Grey and not so much Dark Green. We should have looked at a home with that color before we requested the change but had to choose quickly to get the change order in. The only other disappointment was the master bath tile. The edging did not line up and the gaps were too big. Classic did get involved and added, at no charge to us, the ceiling tile to make up for the large gap with the grout at the top of the shower. It does look better but it is not what we expected from Classic. We understand this was a subcontractor issue and it is better but not like we expected. These are two small issues we had but we are happy with the home. The Sales and Construction team were great and we fell happy overall and would not hesitate to recommend Classic to all our friends.

What I dislike, is the fact that Classic Homes sales representatives could not persuade me the sell of the house. In fact, my son sold this house. What I like, is dealing with Shane P. (Classics Warranty). He is superb to deal with-very through and communicates throughout process.

Quite rigid about the “Per plan”process. When buyers are spending so much money to buy a house a few simple adjustments should be permitted to make a house a home. I wanted a simple change in a closet hanging bar height (raise the bar 3 inches higher) and was told “No, that cannot be done”! I would like to see a binder provided at closing that has very complete information about the home (and HOA documents if applicable).

We felt the office staff were super nice and always helpful. Andy, the finishing contractor contact, was Excellent and went above and beyond from our Drywall Inspection through the final inspection.
