Still having an issue with the track for our large sliding door unit. Entered a work order into the system months ago but no follow up. It has not been right since the day we moved in.

I fully understand having issues in a new home and none of ours have been beyond what I would have expected. That being said, it has been really tough to get things scheduled and done. The usually take several follow-up calls from me and no status updates. My main frustration has also been inconsistent suggestions from contractors and Classic. On our basement floor, Classic said the issue was not a big deal and to be expected while the contractor (who visited separately) recommended it get redone. It seems that Classic won out but we've been through so many changes and appointments, I'm kind of just out of gas on me being the person to follow up and asky why the different suggestion.

The one big disappointment was that the design center didn’t provide information on how the material used around the fireplace would affect the depth of the mantel. We ended up with very narrow mantel space.

1) Customer service has been outstanding! Sales team (Jeff and Theresa), POCs during construction process (Tom), warranty team (Liz) 2) Worksmanship/quality lacking: For $800k+, expected window frames to be level (they are "within tolerance I am told, which is BS for $800K+ home), long stucco cracks from one end to another with several "spider webs" of stucco cracks from settling (makes home look several years old), placement of radon system creates loud hum in guest bedroom and nothing can be done about it (and color of radon pipe doesn't match house so looks like after thought). Will ask AGAIN about these issues and several others during 12 month inspection with Classic.

One of the best parts of this experience is the communication. From the pictures every Saturday from the Sales Team, to the weekly calls with the project managers. It is a open line that you know is available and there is a great deal of comfort with that. John, Keven and & Tom were our team and they all did a fabulous job!!! I felt rushed through the design center. Cheryl was great and very helpful, but it was apparent that she was pressured to move us along.

Excellent warranty service, but some of the warranty related work should’ve been quality controlled prior to closing. House settling has caused issues with broken windows and there are stucco cracks (many long ones) all over the place—looks like house is 5 years old (in spec now but the cracks are growing), had to replace a cracked window and about to put in claim on another cracked window

For the most part the home is ok. Besides garbage/food being found in our airvent vents from the construction and our concrete in the front of our house looking pretty bad from a "bad batch" of concrete. What i dislike most is how classic homes has and is handling some the the problems we have encountered with our home.

In general, the quality of the build and the mechanics within the house are less than optimal when compared to other houses that I have owned over the years. Overall, there has been a lack of attention paid to the build details, which resulted in a malfunctioning furnace, molding falling off of the kitchen cabinents, and a malfunctioning shower that leaks. Classic has fixed some but not all of the identified, broken issues. I am still waiting for my stove to be fixed. It was damaged when molding fell on it.

Like: The sales team was awesome. Tyler was fantastic walking us through the final build. Dislike: Follow-ups on issues. We still have 15 outstanding issues with the house. Additionally, some of the quality is just cheap. Railing on deck is loose and not as sturdy as you’d expect for a $1M home. Unfinished 3rd garage…cheap Unfinished pillars in back…cheap No door stop protector…cheap This is a solid $600K not a $1M dollar house because the quality is just below what you’d expect.

Nothing. I think that the experience with Classic has been great, with the exception of the warranty dept. There is a lack of communication by my assigned representative. She showed once with no appointment, then asked to use our ladder to do a repair. The repair was completed and she just left the ladder on our back deck. There was an issue that was recognized in our pre-closing walk through and she alleges it will/can not be addressed. There are multiple obvious (visual or sound) issues that she makes what I feel are canned/standard answers that she feeds everyone. This is based on conversations with any neighbors that have the same representative and also have nothing positive to say. The running joke around the neighborhood is she says no to everything! Thankfully the construction dept (Mac Thompson) has been great to work with. He was sent by Steve (construction mgr) and acknowledged there was definitely a noise in our basement powder and that he could even feel the vibration on the wall. Our warranty rep said she heard nothing in there. I would think that she should have good hearing and eyesight to complete this role and maybe she is in the wrong role. Then when something isn't covered, there is no communication. Just an email stating that all items reviewed in our meeting have been addressed. When I asked about the rest, she said they're not covered. She also said a light couldn't be moved that was clearly off center. She alleged it was centered and the sink faucet was off center. The electrician walked into the bathroom and said "that's not centered". Which make me question her integrity and/or skills as every issue she doesn't see or hear is cleary seen/heard by others. It would also seems from an efficiency perspective for Classic that it isn't the best use of the construction teams time to have them come in when warranty should be addressing items. OBVIOUS items - like upper floor windows with deep scratches on the exterior. I guess shame on me for not going from floor to ceiling and climbing on my roof in the approx 1 hour I had to walk my house prior to my closing or bringing in a third party vendor, which I considered but felt Classic would do the right thing. Which - Classic has or is working on addressing these items but again, via your construction dept, not warranty/cust svce. I also sent an additional warranty item and she replied with a short comment stating that it would be addressed at an upcoming appt. When she came out, she admitted she hadn't even read it!

Not much. Still having electrical problems. Apparently it is not a big concern on Classics end. I own my own business and have my wife working from home and as of today 6/6/20 we have no power in the office. Was told to fill out a service request, that it is a inconvenience and not a emergency. I wonder if the model home that Jeff and Teresa work in had no power if it would be a emergency or just a inconvenience.

Design study process could be improved. I would recommend the following changes: - Allow homeowners to view the Design Studio choices before and throughout the process. (we were not allowed in the Design Studio other than at our designated appointment times) - Provide photos of Classic Homes that are examples of Design Studio styles (classic, modern, farmhouse, etc...) to generate discussion and provide ideas, as well as show what different paint colors, floor choices etc.., look like in an actual home. - Train designers to ensure that homeowners are aware of all choices - there were certain design choices that we only knew were available because we saw them in the model - designer either was not aware, or did not discuss with us. - Have designer present throughout follow-on meetings with builder, including walk-throughs. This not only ensures that homeowners choices are completed as desired, but would also allow the designer to see what various colors, styles, etc.. look like in a home. - Separate final walkthrough from warranty representative discussion. There were a few items that I missed on the final walkthrough (mistakes made in the staining of our hickory floors, for example) because I was trying to listen to the warranty representative. At this point, I do not feel that the floors will be repaired to my satisfaction as we have closed and moved into the house, and I am now shuttled off to Customer Service. I do not feel that post-closing I have any recourse to resolve this issue. Please contact me at XXXXX or (619) 961-8865, as I would like to discuss my options. I have already submitted a request to Customer Care, and have been redirected to the Warranty Representative. I feel that this is unsatisfactory.

The buying process was smooth. The building process could have gone better because nearly every change order was done wrong the first time and had to be torn out and redone. It would have been nice if the CHANGE ORDERS WERE READ THE FIRST TIME. This was very frustrating. Some of the subs used on construction of our home were questionable tradesmen. Stucco was a disaster and had to be redone in several areas due to flaking off, and the deck is sagging due to the use of wet wood that warped and has now caused major sagging (to be repaired soon, we hope). Classic warranty service has been very good, but I just wish we didn't have to have warranty work done. We have also had two cracked windows due to settling (I'm told).

Loved the sellers office. They were knowledgeable and willing to help at all points during the process. Our third foreman didn’t communicate as well as we would have liked but the other three were awesome and there for us at every step. We were a little disappointed at the focus on detail when it came to custom requests. Each that we made, we had to go back and remind the construction people and all had to be fixed after the fact. One we let go of because of a mistake in communication on Classics part. Another was fixed According to the plan and the others look like a quick fix rather than a careful touch up. We also feel like once we closed on our home, all the fixes that we have requested we’re put on the back burner. Many have still not been addressed and no one has reached out to us to give updates or just let us know a time frame. And there are quite a few since our first walk through that have not been touched. We love our house and are glad to be in. The quality of the product is fabulous.

Supers were swapped out and the continuity of getting the home and lot squared away has seemingly diminished with minor exceptions. The lot was never cleaned and construction debris still litters the lot since the 12th or March when we moved in. Rear gutters are leaking and eroding the dirt out from under the back concreate porch this item has been addressed with the super as well as submitting a repair request through the classic website without resolve. Those that do show up to address defects or conduct repairs also comment on the construction debris throughout the yard. Seems like we are off to a very rough start.

The large sliding door has been a bit of an issue and I'm worried that we're not done with it creating some problems. Took a while longer to get the other door issues addressed than i would have liked but everything appears to be fixed now.

Warranty rep has not resolved my cracked front porch. It was patched during original pour. The crack is on the edge of the porch and will eventually spall off due to winter freeze/thaw. I requested that a VP level person contact me to resolve though that has not happened.

For the most part the home is ok. Besides garbage/food being found in our airvent vents from the construction and our concrete in the front of our house looking pretty bad from a "bad batch" of concrete. What i dislike most is how classic homes has and is handling some the the problems we have encountered with our home.

I think we should have been verbally told about the further development of the front of our neighborhood because it looks completely finished already and will mean construction for a long while and alter the look of the neighborhood main entrance significantly. But that’s it!

Access to the Design Center phase (choices and pricing) needs to be available to buyers prior to buyer signing contract. We were disappointed with the available options and the almost insulting pricing.

Our salesperson lied to us about neighboring lots regarding how it would impact the Mountain views from the home. We had to fight to ensure that warranty promises were kept by Classic and continue to wait for additional warranty fixes to occur.
