It took a months for classic to come fix our blue tape inspection issues. Three times I took leave to be there for them to do repairs, and the three times I had to reschedule.

You told us to be at the design studio in Jan or Feb of 2021. We came and finished our selections the first week of Feb 2021. We were told at that time if we made any changes after that date it would delay our build as supplies, cabinets hardware had to be ordered. Our house was delayed because you chose to delay ordering cabinets knowing about supply chain issues all along the way. You delayed our house 2-2 1/2 months because of cabinets. The builder calls on Mondays were great but usually depressing as there was nothing to report but more delays. The weekly pictures were nice since we were in VA and couldn’t come cross country in the pandemic.

Disappointed that we met your deadlines to make selections. Were told needed to do this so you could order our selections. But you waited 6 mos to order things like kitchen cabinets and it caught you and us in the supply chain issues.

Floors are already creaking in multiple places. Front Door is not level and is catching. Vent was leaking over the bathroom during a bad winter storm. Seems like a pretty young home to already be having those issues.

We felt rushed to make decisions when choosing options for our home. Additionally, we misunderstood some of the options that were presented to us and decided against choosing those options based on our misunderstandings.

When we told our warranty rep about how the cabinets were not all in order and some stuck, didn't close all the way or function properly, he argued with us telling us "well, that's because they are new and over time, as you use them, they will come around and work as you want." This clearly isn't the case. Our cabinets don't shut all the way after even six months of obviously constant use. The cabinets in the wet bar in the basement get stuck and we have to push them in with force, our kitchen cabinets are the same way and won't close all the way unless we muck about with the cabinets and shift things around. It's really annoying having paid for upgraded cabinets and the warranty personnel argue about how they work.

We loved working with Hayden and Cheryl. They made us feel like family and we're always there to answer our questions. Great customer service!!! We're having issues with getting our punch list completed. Closed on Wednesday and were told a couple of the items would be completed by Friday.. it's now a month and a half later and they're still not done.

The sales and construction teams were genuinely nice and kept us in the loop during delays and setbacks. The homes are high quality. Compared with competitors like Keller, we think Classic is a tier above.

Adam was stellar at initial communication. He provided all the information that we requested and was super fast with responses. Hayden was also phenomenal for the same reasons. We felt we had an excellent personal connection with him. Cheryl was helpful when Hayden wasn't available. Our designer Cheryl did a great job helping us make choices. Our 1 big issue with the design process was the electrical outlets. Telling us that we had to decide where we wanted to install extra outlets while refusing to tell us where the included ones would go or even how many there would be is ridiculous. We 100% would have chosen to not put some that we paid for as well as add ones in places that are inexplicably short on outlets. The "well the code blah blah blah" excuse was complete BS. Matt was friendly but made promises to complete work and then didn't follow through with much of it. Caleb is also very friendly but has been very slow to follow through (or just hasn't yet in several instances).

I liked the detail steps of the process by email and the pictures every week of the build process. It would have been nice to hear more about the landscaping estimated costs at the start of the purchase to better manage the budget.

The floors in our house feel uneven to us at the seams. Even after they tried to fix it after we moved in, I can still feel where floorboards meet. Everything else has been great.

Information about the whole process as well as during each phase was ample. Classic reps were professional from the front office down to the field reps. Quality of materials was fantastic. My complaint comes from the closing end. Contractors/Trades actually working in the house did not pay enough attention to detail or worked with enough care to preserve the quality environments. Cleaners did not clean out sinks, did not clean the windows, barely vacuumed, cabinets and drawers still had debris, door hardware was not free of dried paint, and dirt/dust was excessive in the basement. I found paint dropped on the carpet, grout on the tile floor, and glue hardened on the garage floor. Overall, I would say that Classic has the processes down and provides quality care to the customer while the trades may have installed quality materials but with poor quality care/service.

I liked that we were able to find all the upgrades we wanted with our Classic Home. I dislike that the 1 foot more ceiling height in the basement is standard in Campbell and Vantage homes!

Almost everything was fixed within the first 60-90 days from move-in. There are still some outstanding items from just before move-in that have not been satisficed or followed up on by Classic Homes. If we can have those items attended to then it will be a 10/10 for sure.

Not classics fault...just took a while to get one cabinet fixed. My rep is awesome and he communicated why. But it still took longer than I wanted. I wanted to switch out my handles and couldn't do it for 4 months after I moved in. But I noticed the issue within 2 days or moving in

Classic Team, our realtor, and us did an awesome job going through the process of new home build during the COVID pandemic. Hayden and Cheryl were fantastic keeping us informed with pics and updates each week helping us capture the build through a remote experience. The only part of the process that was really pins and needles was the bidding of lot timing and selection.

Shortcuts taken and some things are cheap but overall it’s good. Concrete in the driveway is fading and turning yellow. Also there is a growing crack on the porch.

The response has been prompt with the warranty dept, so no issues there, but there are issues with the house that shouldn’t be issues and I expected better from what I had been told about Classic Homes.

The start of the experience went well, Hayden was amazing throughout the entire process. Design studio went well, until Ashley had a hard time with our selections via the paperwork process. Several back and forth a were required with several errors. Her lack of response time was less to be desired. Matt kicked it off string but revealed bad news after the pre-drywall that the “developer” still had to test the sewers...from there our confidence started to drop. Transparency of updates were communicated at the beginning and throughout the build process that started to deplete. Our close dates were miscommunicated by classic to lender resulting in a mess if locking in and unlocking interest rates. House was suppose to start building end of Sept to maybe start of Oct pushed back to Thanksgiving week...and then had to sit and wait for a week and half at the door to close after final walk. In the end, we’re happy with the house, but it was way longer process than anticipated. Especially being the first houses to get started. The blame between classic and the developer was a bit annoying. Nobody took ownership and always had an answer if “not sure when the sewer will be done” never did get a straight answer up till close date. Oh well...hoping the developer gets the back fence in that was told would be done by move in date.
