Everything from sales to support has been disappointing. Sales advised in writing that the home built in front of mine was a ranch with a 2 car garage - in fact it's a ranch with a 3 car garage. From basic drain issues in the window wells which were never proper installed to duct work in the dry walls which makes popping noises - this home is a disappointment only to find out nothing is covered under what I was told very directly was a bumper to bumper warranty for the first year. Basic structural issues should not be happening in a new Classic home - This useless survey won't even matter I imagine as well.

Kimberly Liu was a fantastic sales rep and continuously supported us from day one. Trent and David were fabulous project managers and immediately stepped up to address any concerns that we had during the build process. Their assistance, talent, and professionalism was crucial to the quality home that we currently have. Robert S. (Warranty) has also done a superb job from the day we started utilizing his talents. Our home is gorgeous and we are very happy, particularly thanks to these individuals.

The whole process was seamless - the construction manager was communicative and the sales team was always there to answer our questions. I've heard your staff say "there is no perfect home"....but I think you came exceptionally close with this one!

They have shown commitment to investigate and fix our issues. I am satisfied with this process so far - thankfully there have not been any expensive or challenging warranty claims yet, and we hope there never will be. I dislike that the wait times for appointments are a little long, but once the appointment arrives, Jeff has been great.

There were some communication breakdowns that caused for time consuming efforts on our part to find the information. There were also some individuals who were available to work through concerns. Overall, the experience was probably par for purchasing a home.

There are items we have been put in that have never been addressed. The problems with HOMERUN and the alarm system installed. The driveway was suppose to be replaced for part that had spalding that have never been done. No communication on these issues.

The Classic sales team was fantastic. Loved receiving the weekly updates and pictures. The quality of the home is also top tier. The follow up to complete those unfinished item at closing has been a bit slow, but we’ll see if things pick up after yesterday’s one-month maintenance walk through with Ricky. My only complaint with Classic is the lack of landscaping being included in the price. I have built four houses in the past, with Lennar, Morrison and others and this is the first one that did not include landscaping.

quality of material is not up to the mark. Warranty part really XXXXX s so be careful guys at the time of closing. You have to look closely at the closing day and have them to note that what work supposed to fix even though they say you have one month to find out the missing work which they supposed to fix before closing.

We have had multiple major issues with our home. It feels like Classic cut corners and took advantage of the fact that we were a military family building from a distance and therefore couldn’t keep an eye on their work during the build.

Our warranty customer service experience has been all over the place. The first experience was scheduling the first appointment for work to be done making sure we were home and available to find that none of the contractors were ever contacted which resulted in us rescheduling. Due to all of the rain our home settled more than it should which we originally were okay with the way classic handled this situation as we had just started our landscaping and we were told that our house would be worked on promptly. Once we expressed how disappointed we were in the quality of work the lack of professionalism started with classic. We were advised that the work would get done when it would get done, we were told that it doesn’t matter the quality of work and it doesn’t matter how long it takes to get done. I was screamed at by the warranty rep on the phone and talked down to in a way that I was shocked about, without ever hearing any kind of apology. We were originally told that the work would be done on Monday by Friday, this was not completed for about 2.5 weeks and was told that this was the best that could be done. I had expressed that I did not feel comfortable with the excavating company employees talking poorly about us (heard as we were home & cameras) as we weren’t happy with the quality and I asked that this needed to be communicated to them in a different way coming from classic and not us as homeowners. The frustration we had with lack of a time frame was that we were in the middle of landscaping and had our trees/plants/sod on order with a specific delivery date when I expressed that I needed to inform those companies of a new date for delivery and couldn’t get an answer was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Our fence post had sunk and the excavators tried to fix this twice even though this isn’t within their scope and we expressed numerous times we did not want them to work on our fence, which resulted in delay and a new contractor coming in to fix this. Inside the home we had minimal complaints which were handled however the quality of work wasn’t up to par and had to be redone. We are still waiting on a new cabinet to be replaced and have had no communication on when this will be done. I’m understanding this is a back order issue however the cabinet guy told us he has had our cabinet since the day we moved in and saw our moving trucks so he left. In addition we have had a warranty visit recently and that is scheduled for the next couple weeks.

The warranty team tries to push back for the stuff that needs fixing. I had to take days off to get things done just to see contractors not showing up. For an electric switch replacement, I waited a couple of months. There are issues (gaps in the flooring, properly not done drywall, and scratched glass) that are still not done after living in the house for months.

We ran into several avoidable problems through the construction process. Some of the quality of workmanship is not as good as it could have been, and there are a few issues I am concerned will become bigger problems long term. The design process was fun, the sales team did a great job of keeping us in the loop, and we love the floor plan of our home.

Everyone was super helpful and kind throughout the whole process. We really appreciated our back end superintendent David Serrano. He was always responsive and very helpful. He listened to our requests and explained everything very well.

Classic has responded to all of my inquiries and concerns. I think the floor installation was done incorrectly even though they have fixed a few issues, but overall, it was either rushed or something. Grout in the shower, thought most builders had gone away from grout, so hard to clean. Appliances are pretty low end - center burner on stove doesn't work and cannot be used as it leaks gas around it. Dishwasher doesn't clean unless you rinse all dishes first. Love the water heater though and furnace works great. My front door paint is bubbling up.

during the post-occupancy inspection, many items were brushed off as not in the code example lack of a flashing porch area wanted to postpone the loose subfloor until a 1yeare inspection. He was doubtful he could have. The badly damaged roofings repaired. The carpet at the top of the stairs is poorly finished he refused to consider repairing it. The tile around the fireplace is not properly cut to finish (gaps between the tile . Instead of installing a return vent in an upstairs bedroom a hole was cut above the door and a cane insert was installed allowing all noise from without and all conversations from within. The added bedroom has a huge soffit in the middle of the room (very poor design) which blocks the lights in the ceiling. The soffit is for a small bathroom vent.It took three attempts before one small piece of tile could be replaced adjacent to the hood in the kitchen. The dishwasher has never been attached to the cabinets and the correct screws are not to be found

Classic sales people were very patient with the stop - start, build - no don’t build, this lot - no that lot indecisions my fiancé and I put them through. Their sales office was like a second home to us, we were there so often. Kimberly and Jennifer were outstanding in their understanding and cooperation throughout this process. Once we settled on model and location, the Design Center folks were equally cooperative and understanding. When the kitchen refrigerator we contracted for was installed and it’s size and location were not appropriate for the kitchen layout, Classic swapped out what we originally ordered and replaced it with a second model of our choosing and they ate the cost of that replacement. Throughout the build phase, we were kept in the loop weekly concerning progress and any problems that developed. Their closing team was professional and ensured we were comfortable with the entire process. After closing, Classic has been prompt to fix deficiencies and other open items that needed to be addressed

Ive been told several times that they wont fix the plaster holes that air bubbles caused due to poor craftsmanship. I have a few walls that are off square buy visible amounts. there are holes that i can see light through in the garage (from inside to outside) My kitchen window condensates between the panels. I requested a sink hole be repaired... i had to backfill it myself and repair my landscaping after the laborer came out and made a mess of the place. i had to fight tooth and nail to get them to fix cosmetic drywall crack in the living room BEFORE I CLOSED ON THE PROPERTY. My hardware in the bathrooms isnt mounted correctly so they are all twisted and not secure. the toilet paper holders drop the toilet paper on the ground regularly. i have a toilet that causes negative pressure while flushing and occasionally "burps" sewage air into the master suite. (was told this is normal and they couldnt fix it) Had the original "warranty" guy get belligerent in my house to the point of forcing him to leave. (the current one is absolutely amazing and professional) the light fixtures on the front of garage were cut so large theres a 1/2 of caulking to cover it up. The tile in the master suite is 2 different colors and was told that its normal.... the tile in master suite is also off square by about 3/4 inch over 6 feet. was also told this is normal. the glass installed in the wall of master shower is mounted crooked and was not caulked causing slight water damage before it was caught. the sink in basement takes roughly 7 minutes to have warm water. this is a brief synapsis of the issues ive had since purchasing a 400k+ dollar house. not to mention being told that my expectations are too high when I was questioning why there is paint on my hardwood floor. Or pen marks on my wall from where they tried to mount the bathroom hardware.

The whole process with Classic was great, we honestly did not have any issue until water damage towards the end of our building process which was obviously out of any ones control we just wish there would have been a bit more communication when that happened as the damage occurred on a Friday and we came to the house on Sunday and were shocked to see mold and water damage. We understand things happen but the shock factor could have been minimal if we were notified Friday. We are now in our warranty process and so far that has been smooth going as well.

We got a lot of pushback when we found sink holes in various places around the foundation. Classic tried to blame the landscaper but eventually filled them a couple months later but we had to keep inquiring on the timeline. Our tree is still leaning but I doubt I’ll be able to get any further fixes on this issue due to the amount of initial pushback.

From the beginning, some of where the house would be placed, on the lot, left a lot to be desired. I HAD to pay to move it back 6 feet, due to house and lot dimensions. Even moving it back 6 feet there is just enough room to have a care in the driveway and not be over the sidewalk. Had i understood how close it would be to the street, i would have tried to move it back 12-15 more feet. This would have also allowed me to put a sidewalk from the garage service door to the driveway. Also, we choose the lot due to the vacant/community lot between us and our neighbors. This also gave us a great view. So when the house was placed on the lot, that view is not seen because the garage is on that side. Again, this was dictated to us and we had no choice plus wasted money on a view we cannot see. Also, some of the trades presented problems by putting a bathtub in the wrong way and cutting a wall 2x4 so it would fit, which put part of the tub INSIDE the wall. If this kind of mistake was made, what other ones did they make we couldn't see?

The warranty service coordinator pushed back on just about every point on a minimal list provided to him. Then it took months for him to return. After returning, most listed issues were left unfinished, and he has yet to return since, which was more than a month ago. Contacting him directly has yielded zero results

There's a lot of corners being cut in quality. When those have been addressed to the warranty team, they minimalize it or say that's not a big deal. I think it's a big deal. I spent a lot of money on this house and when there's things falling off or separating, that should be a big deal. The things that have been "fixed" almost made it worse. Kimberly in sales and Chris as a foreman are amazing but everyone else and everything else has been pretty subpar.

The warranty team tries to push back for the stuff that needs fixing. I had to take days off to get things done just to see contractors not showing up. For an electric switch replacement, I waited a couple of months. There are issues (gaps in the flooring, properly not done drywall, and scratched glass) that are still not done after living in the house for months.

during the post-occupancy inspection, many items were brushed off as not in the code example lack of a flashing porch area wanted to postpone the loose subfloor until a 1yeare inspection. He was doubtful he could have. The badly damaged roofings repaired. The carpet at the top of the stairs is poorly finished he refused to consider repairing it. The tile around the fireplace is not properly cut to finish (gaps between the tile . Instead of installing a return vent in an upstairs bedroom a hole was cut above the door and a cane insert was installed allowing all noise from without and all conversations from within. The added bedroom has a huge soffit in the middle of the room (very poor design) which blocks the lights in the ceiling. The soffit is for a small bathroom vent.It took three attempts before one small piece of tile could be replaced adjacent to the hood in the kitchen. The dishwasher has never been attached to the cabinets and the correct screws are not to be found

Responsive and has committed to fix all of our valid issues.. Classic Warranty personnel have been great. My concerns are More with initial quality and trades that come to fix issues ..

We got a lot of pushback when we found sink holes in various places around the foundation. Classic tried to blame the landscaper but eventually filled them a couple months later but we had to keep inquiring on the timeline. Our tree is still leaning but I doubt I’ll be able to get any further fixes on this issue due to the amount of initial pushback.

The warranty service coordinator pushed back on just about every point on a minimal list provided to him. Then it took months for him to return. After returning, most listed issues were left unfinished, and he has yet to return since, which was more than a month ago. Contacting him directly has yielded zero results

quality of material is not up to the mark. Warranty part really XXXXX s so be careful guys at the time of closing. You have to look closely at the closing day and have them to note that what work supposed to fix even though they say you have one month to find out the missing work which they supposed to fix before closing.

We ran into several avoidable problems through the construction process. Some of the quality of workmanship is not as good as it could have been, and there are a few issues I am concerned will become bigger problems long term. The design process was fun, the sales team did a great job of keeping us in the loop, and we love the floor plan of our home.

Classic has responded to all of my inquiries and concerns. I think the floor installation was done incorrectly even though they have fixed a few issues, but overall, it was either rushed or something. Grout in the shower, thought most builders had gone away from grout, so hard to clean. Appliances are pretty low end - center burner on stove doesn't work and cannot be used as it leaks gas around it. Dishwasher doesn't clean unless you rinse all dishes first. Love the water heater though and furnace works great. My front door paint is bubbling up.

Ive been told several times that they wont fix the plaster holes that air bubbles caused due to poor craftsmanship. I have a few walls that are off square buy visible amounts. there are holes that i can see light through in the garage (from inside to outside) My kitchen window condensates between the panels. I requested a sink hole be repaired... i had to backfill it myself and repair my landscaping after the laborer came out and made a mess of the place. i had to fight tooth and nail to get them to fix cosmetic drywall crack in the living room BEFORE I CLOSED ON THE PROPERTY. My hardware in the bathrooms isnt mounted correctly so they are all twisted and not secure. the toilet paper holders drop the toilet paper on the ground regularly. i have a toilet that causes negative pressure while flushing and occasionally "burps" sewage air into the master suite. (was told this is normal and they couldnt fix it) Had the original "warranty" guy get belligerent in my house to the point of forcing him to leave. (the current one is absolutely amazing and professional) the light fixtures on the front of garage were cut so large theres a 1/2 of caulking to cover it up. The tile in the master suite is 2 different colors and was told that its normal.... the tile in master suite is also off square by about 3/4 inch over 6 feet. was also told this is normal. the glass installed in the wall of master shower is mounted crooked and was not caulked causing slight water damage before it was caught. the sink in basement takes roughly 7 minutes to have warm water. this is a brief synapsis of the issues ive had since purchasing a 400k+ dollar house. not to mention being told that my expectations are too high when I was questioning why there is paint on my hardwood floor. Or pen marks on my wall from where they tried to mount the bathroom hardware.

There's a lot of corners being cut in quality. When those have been addressed to the warranty team, they minimalize it or say that's not a big deal. I think it's a big deal. I spent a lot of money on this house and when there's things falling off or separating, that should be a big deal. The things that have been "fixed" almost made it worse. Kimberly in sales and Chris as a foreman are amazing but everyone else and everything else has been pretty subpar.
