From the beginning, we wanted to see a reference sheet that detailed the process from contract to move-in to warranty. It could have had stages labeled detailing where we were in the process. Since this seems like a repeatable process with all of these home builds, it would have kept us informed and tracking with you all instead of receiving irregular emails from the sales team during this long process of homebuilding. Though with that said, the sales team was on top of the communication and very professional. We appreciated their quick responses to our email questions. They were always willing to help out. When it came to design, we disliked key aspects of the experience. Design is very important to us. And we felt like we were expected to quickly pick out our interior features without any presentation of what they were. Not only were we forced to do a zoom meeting on our first meeting (due to Covid-19), the lack of communication about optional features and styles left us ignorant of what we really could have had within our home. Like almost everything in this experience, we felt rushed. Our construction process seemed rushed; though our builder has been present and communicative. Some features were not completed during our initial walkthrough. It took another visit to the house to see some things we overlooked. Our builder has been responsive to our requests and is getting some things fixed after our move-in. With so many homes being built, we felt like we didn't have the attention we required for our experience to leave us fully satisfied in our new home. And we have a growing list for the warranty department. Our builder did make sure to contact the warranty department for us as they were too busy to set up a time with us. They didn't even make it to our walkthrough. Home Run Electronics didn't have time to call us before closing and after weeks of phone tag, our builder finally connected us to them. We were very grateful. But this showed how easily we've been overlooked. At the end of the day, we LOVE our house!!! We are thrilled with our location in our neighborhood, and we would recommend Classic Homes to all our friends and family!

Warrant has been EXTREMELY difficult to come out and fix severe issues on my home. Over a foot settling around my foundation, won’t fix my mechanical door, can’t close windows properly.

Love the house and my neighborhood. I have found that the warranty repairs have been the issue. One simple fix has been on-going since day 1 because of the cost of a new Ring system. Pretty small issue to drag on for months.

There's a lot of corners being cut in quality. When those have been addressed to the warranty team, they minimalize it or say that's not a big deal. I think it's a big deal. I spent a lot of money on this house and when there's things falling off or separating, that should be a big deal. The things that have been "fixed" almost made it worse. Kimberly in sales and Chris as a foreman are amazing but everyone else and everything else has been pretty subpar.

The staff at the sales office were all amazing! Dealing with the builder side was a little disappointing as it seemed that things were passed down line when mentioned needing correcting & not followed up in a timely manner which resulted in several items carrying forward that still need correcting or that could not be corrected. ie: damaged tubs which would result in more down time if needing to have replaced as repair did not come out so well, under window cap on window overhanging porch not built correctly & now needing repair, etc. One main issue was the placement of the AC unit on the wrong side of home resulting in having a power box on both sides, one of which is not used & having to cut 3 large holes in my inside wall to rerun wires last minute to wire it on the incorrect side of the home causing drywall to have to be repaired.

We loved the amount of flexibility to choose between many floor plan modifications and finishes. While we are very happy with our sections, it would have been nice to be able to have a few more finish options though. Even if they were in a catalog or something.

The sales team is AWESOME! They sent us regular updates with pictures or videos from a dirt lot to the final walkthrough. We moved to Colorado during the first month after contract but even if we had not, the sales team made us feel like a very important part of the process.

Still missing an adapter for the front door. Classic says they left here, but The Home representative and ourselves looked forward over and over - no luck. Have contacted Classic twice only to be told to find it and purchase myself. I don’t even know what brand or anything.

Wouldn't know; they have failed to come back and repair all the items that were either incomplete, flawed, or not installed properly. Several folks came, touched up a few things, and left us waiting for the more important repairs.

The purchase experience was smooth. Kimberly and Jennifer were so helpful and clear about the costs and options from the start. We even had trouble selling our home initially and the sales team worked hard to help us keep our contract and our home, extending the contract and blessing our family abundantly! There were no unexpected costs and everything was up front. There was an unexpected discount at some point this year (sorry, the months have melted together). I am a counselor and have been at the front lines of this crisis on the mental health and substance use side since March 16th with no vacation days. The world does not recognize it or see it, but the sales team at Classic did. When we received the call from Kimberly that my work was appreciated by Classic and I was being recognized as a first responder in the form of a $5000 discount on our home purchase, it was a really big deal. Obviously from the financial side for so many reasons, but more importantly, to be SEEN for the FIRST TIME as someone of value in this crisis. To be validated...to be appreciated...it is everything. Honestly, I am exhausted and have seen more overdoses, suicide attempts, and suicides in the last nine months than I have in the last nine years of practice. I don't get free dinners or car washes, or thank yous, but that's not why I do what I do. That all being said, to have the people building my home see me and see what my family is sacrificing meant a lot. Over and over again, the sales team and Classic blessed our family throughout the purchase process!

The purchase experience was as expected. We have purchased homes in the past with the previous three homes being new construction. This process was not remarkable one way or the other. With that said, the sales office, and in particular Jennifer and Kimberly were always responsive to any and all questions that we developed during the process. Kudos to them.

When conducting the final walk through and noticing stuff that needed touching up, we felt rushed or we received answers like “we can’t fix that”. One of the floor boards needed replacing in the entrance way and they left the stack of laminate boards and marked up the walls upon returning from closing.

There are several issues with the home, I understand that they will be discussed during the warranty appointment. Some of the issues were pointed out during the walk through and not corrected. The masterbath shower pan has 2 cracked tiles. The jet tub was left unplugged and the motor panel sealed. The hvac was designed poorly, it is very loud and not enough airflow on second floor. Poor finishes on kitchen tile backsplash. The kitchen cabinets lower moldings do not align and the finishes are done poorly. The cleaning crew did an awful job they left adhesive all over the tile, I reached out to Trent and no one came to correct. The entry door hardware was switched and left prints of the old hardware on the front door; the painter saw the door and agreed that the door needs to be sanded and repainted. No one has come or contacted us about correcting this. Our sliding door weather strip and frame was damaged before we moved in. We realized once moved in and will address it during our warranty visit. We have reached out about the front door and feel that our issues are falling through the cracks. For these reasons we rated Classic the way we did. Our best experience was with the sales office, other than that we would not recommend Classic to anyone.

Wouldn't know; they have failed to come back and repair all the items that were either incomplete, flawed, or not installed properly. Several folks came, touched up a few things, and left us waiting for the more important repairs.

We had a very hectic schedule during the time our warranty items needed to be worked on. We rescheduled several times and the warranty rep worked with our scheduling flawlessly. He was very accommodating.

There's a lot of corners being cut in quality. When those have been addressed to the warranty team, they minimalize it or say that's not a big deal. I think it's a big deal. I spent a lot of money on this house and when there's things falling off or separating, that should be a big deal. The things that have been "fixed" almost made it worse. Kimberly in sales and Chris as a foreman are amazing but everyone else and everything else has been pretty subpar.
