The sales process and working with Sandy was excellent and during construction Dave has been very good (he responsive but seems to be spread too thin). The overall construction of the home seems very good. However, we would give a very low rating to the "internal" construction that impacts sound between rooms. The sound carries between rooms that do not have closets separating them (i.e. MBR to LR, MBR bath to 2nd BR). In addition, the lawn is the worse we have ever had in any previous home: There are gaps/rutts that we were told would fill in that have not; the entire back yard is not level which makes it very difficult to walk/play in; there was clearly not enough top soil laid before the sod was put down that has resulted in poor rooting, uneven color and dead patches despite irrigation and professional lawn care efforts. We have had other issues that were addressed (bathtub, sink, & shower) but appear to not be fully repairable due to the poor craftsmanship of the repairman and/or product. Finally, we have a crack on our front porch which was a surprise since we were told that if we put in a patio (which we did not) we would not need to worry about cracks in the surface. We are glad we did not because we now have a crack in our front porch.

They love to avoid pretty much anything wrong, avoid and dismiss anything you’re unhappy with and then proceed to tell you it’s just “industry standard” which is basically admitting how bad the new home industry is and they are happy to join right in

Anything with our home has been great but our backyard is the issue. We have talked to Dave and Eric and can’t seem to get them to understand that our backyard is a huge issue and they won’t fix it. Which makes us very unhappy and very disappointed with consort.

The front porch opening to the driveway is cause for concern

The entire process was painful. I expressed my disappointment from starting the build, sent letters and they didn’t care. I wanted my money back and I still do. I can share in detail lust of items, pictures etc

No shelving in the laundry room, no ceiling fan in the master bedroom!

The entire experience was exciting from meeting Sandy Wagner at the display, working Anbassdor for all our selections and the communication from Dave Haverstick along with Sandy throughout the entire process was top notch!

Sandy was a delight to work with and reconnecting with Gia was an added bonus. Dave is a delight and we appreciated the weekly updates. We did find it challenging to narrow in on some of the pricing of different options; we would have expected that to have been easier upfront. And, Dave absolutely drilled the timeframe for our move-in. :)

Consort homes is a wonderful builder and as a homeowner I would expect a little more room for clients to make changes and after selection appointment as we might learn many things during construction.

Based on construction beginning February 2nd, we expected and planned for an August/September close. In the end, the close was pushed to June 30th. This did not work for us so the date was moved to 15th. We made it work but this was still earlier than we planned and caused issues for us. Because of our situation, we were unable to move in until August 20th.

After move in I discovered several omissions: No shelving in the laundry room No towel bars in the master bathroom next to the sinks No ceiling fan in the master bedroom Dangerous gap on front porch where someone could fall off and land on the concrete driveway! No grab bars in the showers! I have installed grab bars and shelving in the laundry room at my expense!
