Not able to get a response in regards to Warranty repairs that need to be addressed.

The process was simple, selections were easy, communication was good. A few things the neighborhood project manager missed but over all okay. Just challenging to reach him with issues and things we felt he should have caught before us in the build process. Lots of follow up required. Do not recommend continuing with Sound Room. There customer service is not good and follow through is non exsistent. We have canceled all projects with them.

The quality of the home is exceptionally poor. A few examples of this poor quality include: -creaks all over the carpeted upstairs -gaps in baseboards -curved walls that don’t come close to lining up with the flooring -very poor quality of concrete in our driveway, which differs from the quality all of our neighbors received -asymmetrical stairs leading from sidewalk to porch Many other issues have been addressed via the warranty process. However, the items listed above don’t qualify for this apparently. We built with consort because we were under the impression that the quality was above average. This turned out to be false. In fact, the crew who framed and built the majority of our home was fired for poor quality. However, we’re stuck with the result of their poor quality forever after purchasing for almost $500k.

Everything on our punch list when we moved in was not completed and took over 3 months to get it all completed. Poor response time. Sod was not put in correctly. We have no hardware on our cabinets or drawers in our bathrooms and we were told this was an upgrade to get hardware put on our drawers and cabinets after we moved in. When we did our walk through we assumed they were just not installed yet. If they were drawers that were made to not have handles I would understand; however, the drawers and cabinets that are installed were not that style. WE SHOULD HAVE NOT ASSUMED WITH CONSORT HOMES. We purchased a new build 3 years ago and it was not an upgrade for hardware. We also did not have this much trouble with poor-quality paint and finding paint drops throughout the house on the floor. Also, the insulation is either poor quality or not installed correctly. We have one outer room that is always hot and one that is always freezing (one over the garage). We also assumed our garage would have drywall and insulation on all sides (our new build home we bought three years ago and it was also in the state of Missouri). Again we should not have assumed. We have already had to have our concrete patched in the basement and we will probably have to have another part of it done in the near future. Lastly, working with [name removed] has been a below-average experience until I had to get my realtor and his team involved.

Overall the quality is good however The shower glass was not installed properly so it needed to be replaced The wood on the landing is already splitting The plumbing under sink in kitchen was leaking and had to be caulked. We now need to cabinet under the sink to be replaced The grab bars for the shower and the toilet were not installed at closing and we had to wait more than 2 weeks for them to be installed The door nobody on garage door and patio door were not installed properly and fell out in the first month of living here

I particularly like the warranty website when you have issues that needs to be addressed. The one I dislike is the response time to get items resolved but I understand since you guys are busy building homes. Bottomline, as long as it is addressed.

I enjoyed working with [name removed] as well- he helped us understand the build process. I do wish their was more communication throughout the build process- we often felt like we were begging for updates or more detials.

Your website indicates that have multiple service needs can be placed on one email request. No when I do put multiple service needs on the same email only one of the service needs is addressed while the other service needs are never addressed. I then have to send additional individual emails for each request to get them completed. This makes for a frustrated experience for the owner.

First thing we liked was accepting our offer for this home. Secondly, the ease of the process from accepting our offer to the home closing. Arch City Title was very professional and everything was laid out clear and no last minute changes. Thirdly, we like the walk through before closing and [name removed] explained everything from the warranty to what needed to be completed in the house with his checklist. Lastly, from just looking at everything on our home, it looks like quality work was done and attention to detail was evident. The thing we dislike which is not too bad is our sliding screen door is still in the garage and the window well cover has not been placed ( a potential hazard for our grandkids). Overall, our purchase experience was very good.

Only some of our repairs were completed that were in our contractual agreement before closing. Paint was supposedly complete; however, there are still many spots that painters are coming back to complete. It has taken over a month to even get dates set up and the work is still not complete. The basement had a crack in the cement and was told it’s okay it has been looked at now it has grown and has water coming through but a month and half ago it was “okay”. The sod was laid poorly and was put in without sufficient watering before closing and I have had to water and go beyond what would be necessary for a newly sodded lawn to bring it back and keep it alive. The garage door has not being operating correctly and will need to put in a “work order” for that as well. The siding outside has already started to come off under the roof. Lastly the bathroom cabinetry is missing. This is our 3rd home to buy (2nd new build) and by far the most trouble we have ever had.

When we have people out for warranty repairs, they often do the bare minimum and then have to return a second time to finish the job correctly. The response to warranty items has been extremely slow. We have had to input far too many items into the warranty system. One of Consorts selling points was a tightly sealed and insulated home, yet we've had water, light, and air entering our home at multiple windows, doors, and other general areas.
