It takes a little bit of time to get on the schedule for fixes but it’s understandable with the amount of work being done in the neighborhood currently. I’ve had no trouble getting in touch with [name removed] and he’s maintained his commitment to making and fixes necessary
St. Charles, on May 10, 2024
Follow up on items that needed to be fixed/ addressed never are- we have been in our home for almost a year and we still have not received our backsplash piece in our bathroom.

I appreciated the weekly updates on the progress of the construction given by [name removed] and [name removed].

Consort homes has followed up with all of our needs quickly!

I like the neighborhood being built. I do not like the promotion of personal "lake" when there is trash in the "lake" and the "lake" is so low that is a breeding ground for misquitos. Also, the inability to communicate over submitted warranty claims. It has been over a week and we have not heard anything back.
St. Charles, on Nov 19, 2023
Everything on our punch list when we moved in was not completed and took over 3 months to get it all completed. Poor response time. Sod was not put in correctly. We have no hardware on our cabinets or drawers in our bathrooms and we were told this was an upgrade to get hardware put on our drawers and cabinets after we moved in. When we did our walk through we assumed they were just not installed yet. If they were drawers that were made to not have handles I would understand; however, the drawers and cabinets that are installed were not that style. WE SHOULD HAVE NOT ASSUMED WITH CONSORT HOMES. We purchased a new build 3 years ago and it was not an upgrade for hardware. We also did not have this much trouble with poor-quality paint and finding paint drops throughout the house on the floor. Also, the insulation is either poor quality or not installed correctly. We have one outer room that is always hot and one that is always freezing (one over the garage). We also assumed our garage would have drywall and insulation on all sides (our new build home we bought three years ago and it was also in the state of Missouri). Again we should not have assumed. We have already had to have our concrete patched in the basement and we will probably have to have another part of it done in the near future. Lastly, working with [name removed] has been a below-average experience until I had to get my realtor and his team involved.

Working with [name removed] was a pleasure throughout the purchase process. [name removed] did a great job keeping us updated during the entire build process and has been quick to respond with any and all post move in questions.

I particularly like the warranty website when you have issues that needs to be addressed. The one I dislike is the response time to get items resolved but I understand since you guys are busy building homes. Bottomline, as long as it is addressed.
St. Charles, MO, on Oct 27, 2024
I feel like our concerns were just ignored towards the end of process. A lot of things felt like they were rushed at the end and ended up just being sloppy work. For example our carpet was cut short on the width of our stairs and now there is a gap between the wall and the end of the carpet. Or our handrail down the stairs almost came out of the wall completely on our walk through. Just poor quality work which makes concerned about other areas of the house.
St. Charles, on Aug 30, 2023
I’m disliked that’s there are already crack in the garage flooring and driveway. Haven’t been in the house for less that 6 months. And cracks in the concrete. P

They updated us of every stage as the built.Office staff were very friendly and took their time to explain stuff to us
St. Charles, on Jun 27, 2023
The quality of the home is exceptionally poor. A few examples of this poor quality include: -creaks all over the carpeted upstairs -gaps in baseboards -curved walls that don’t come close to lining up with the flooring -very poor quality of concrete in our driveway, which differs from the quality all of our neighbors received -asymmetrical stairs leading from sidewalk to porch Many other issues have been addressed via the warranty process. However, the items listed above don’t qualify for this apparently. We built with consort because we were under the impression that the quality was above average. This turned out to be false. In fact, the crew who framed and built the majority of our home was fired for poor quality. However, we’re stuck with the result of their poor quality forever after purchasing for almost $500k.
St. Charles, MO, on Jul 28, 2024
The sales team was excellent, build process was on time and good communication throughout, the delivered product was definitely far from excellent. There was no attention to details, missing doors, door handles, sloppy siding work, out of square kitchen island, no access to attic, out of square deck skirting and more. We are still working with the project foreman correcting the numerous items.
St. Charles, on Feb 14, 2023
The warranty service process has been a nightmare. I have submitted several requests and never heard anything back. I had to reach out to my sales agent only to be referred to the neighborhood contractor who only fixed two things on my list.
St. Charles, on Jun 17, 2023
Overall the quality is good however The shower glass was not installed properly so it needed to be replaced The wood on the landing is already splitting The plumbing under sink in kitchen was leaking and had to be caulked. We now need to cabinet under the sink to be replaced The grab bars for the shower and the toilet were not installed at closing and we had to wait more than 2 weeks for them to be installed The door nobody on garage door and patio door were not installed properly and fell out in the first month of living here

I like the purchase to move in but I do not like the quality of construction and fixtures
St. Charles, on Jan 08, 2023
Your website indicates that have multiple service needs can be placed on one email request. No when I do put multiple service needs on the same email only one of the service needs is addressed while the other service needs are never addressed. I then have to send additional individual emails for each request to get them completed. This makes for a frustrated experience for the owner.

Poor quality amateur workmanship. The grading of the yard was the worst I have ever seen and the thought of it tearing up my mower. The sloping of the yard for rain run- off was never done properly. Oh, shall I mention the acorns in the worst sod I've seen. Tree in front yard is all but dead. No window sills, really? I'm sure that would have broke the bank. Shall I mention again that your super achiever painters got overspray all over my vehicles and your awesome customer service and project management failed to contact me about it. Yes, I'm still waiting and would like addressed. Loose electrical outlets. I really love the feels of the whole house shaking when the door closes. We really love the cold draft in the front bedroom. The list grows longer every day and it saddens me when other neighbors complain about similar problems. I haven't cared much for your competitor, [name removed] but their product is looking very appealing. I could go back in time, I would by from them for better product and more reliable price for what I feel like I was rape for.
St. Charles, MO, on Mar 12, 2024
The process was simple, selections were easy, communication was good. A few things the neighborhood project manager missed but over all okay. Just challenging to reach him with issues and things we felt he should have caught before us in the build process. Lots of follow up required. Do not recommend continuing with Sound Room. There customer service is not good and follow through is non exsistent. We have canceled all projects with them.
St. Charles, on Jan 01, 2023
I submitted requests for 15+ repairs months ago. I still haven’t been contacted regarding these requests.

Dishonesty and lack of integrity from salesman. We were promised things and then told that "I've never said that", although some things were recorded!

Everything about the experience was great. From The initial purchase and planning to every detail along the way. We felt heard and consort made the experience exciting for us!
St. Charles, on Nov 10, 2022
When we have people out for warranty repairs, they often do the bare minimum and then have to return a second time to finish the job correctly. The response to warranty items has been extremely slow. We have had to input far too many items into the warranty system. One of Consorts selling points was a tightly sealed and insulated home, yet we've had water, light, and air entering our home at multiple windows, doors, and other general areas.
St. Charles, MO, on Oct 30, 2023
There was items not completed at closing date, a month later I am still waiting on some items to be finished/ fixed
St. Charles, MO, on Sep 27, 2023

St. Charles, MO, on Aug 06, 2023
I loved working with [name removed]. He made it easy to customize my home even when some options wern't easily available he would go out of his way to get estimates for me. I enjoyed working with [name removed] as well- he helped us understand the build process. I do wish their was more communication throughout the build process- we often felt like we were begging for updates or more detials.

We had a great experience with [name removed] (salesman) from first walking through the display to finalizing all of the options.
St. Charles, MO, on Jul 05, 2023
First thing we liked was accepting our offer for this home. Secondly, the ease of the process from accepting our offer to the home closing. Arch City Title was very professional and everything was laid out clear and no last minute changes. Thirdly, we like the walk through before closing and [name removed] explained everything from the warranty to what needed to be completed in the house with his checklist. Lastly, from just looking at everything on our home, it looks like quality work was done and attention to detail was evident. The thing we dislike which is not too bad is our sliding screen door is still in the garage and the window well cover has not been placed ( a potential hazard for our grandkids). Overall, our purchase experience was very good.
St. Charles, MO, on Jun 28, 2023
Only some of our repairs were completed that were in our contractual agreement before closing. Paint was supposedly complete; however, there are still many spots that painters are coming back to complete. It has taken over a month to even get dates set up and the work is still not complete. The basement had a crack in the cement and was told it’s okay it has been looked at now it has grown and has water coming through but a month and half ago it was “okay”. The sod was laid poorly and was put in without sufficient watering before closing and I have had to water and go beyond what would be necessary for a newly sodded lawn to bring it back and keep it alive. The garage door has not being operating correctly and will need to put in a “work order” for that as well. The siding outside has already started to come off under the roof. Lastly the bathroom cabinetry is missing. This is our 3rd home to buy (2nd new build) and by far the most trouble we have ever had.
St. Charles, MO, on Apr 20, 2023
Just where they put the ruff in in the basement for the bathroom.
St. Charles, MO, on Jan 14, 2023
Our microwave has been broken since we moved in (hasn't worked since the day we closed one month ago).
