The design meeting was overwhelming. The people at the design studio were very nice but we had no idea there were so many other options that weren't on display. For example, we didn't know we had to ask for soft closing cabinets or a garbage wall.

From the day she hit our check she was rude until we closed. She might be knowledgeable but she is not friendly or caring. She’ll ruin your business.

Lack of transparency about the project timeline start to finish. We should be given the entire project plan for the 9-10 months up front not weekly email updates. This would have prevented many emails and questions that we had along the way. The poor make ready of the house for closing. A month after being in the house we are still cleaning dried paint drops on the floor and grout on surface tiles. There was a feeling of pressure to close by a certain date even when things weren’t 100%. This resulted in a longer warranty request list and many continued appointments with vendors that are still not complete a month later.

Once I signed the contract, sales rep was immediately harder to get in touch with and much more dismissive of my questions and concerns. Core construction quality is superior but finish out was sub-par. Trim, paint, caulk, grout are poor workmanship and poor quality. Warranty support is poor. If I wanted to deal with subcontractors, trades and vendors myself, I would have GC'ed my own house.

The sales manager made good suggestions when we were designing the home. The construction manager was diligent and responded to all our concerns. Overall, we are happy with our home, but we are definitely disappointed in the quality of the cabinetry. The cabinets were installed with no protection during the tile installation resulting in numerous nicks and scrapes which were then covered with touchup pencils. The hinges on the cabinet doors will not stay tightened. Many of the cabinets or the shelving is not cut square and the cut looks like someone chewed it instead of cutting it. The finish is not consistent. There are places that are bare with no finish. The soft closures that we paid extra for do not work properly. These cabinets are not what is expected in a home over half a million dollars. We were disappointed that there were no other options or upgrades to these low quality cabinets that are installed throughout the home.

We were very pleased with our Superintendent, [name removed]. He has been organized, responsive, and true to his word. We felt lucky to have him assigned to our home, and highly recommend him. The reason for the 7 score is because we are still experiencing significant drainage issues on our property that causes mulch and dirt to wash out after it rains. We are also left with mud in our driveway and rocks strewn across our driveway and lawn after it rains. We need a drain to truly address the issue. We also thought our cabinets and carpet pad were subpar for the price and quality of the home. We are also still waiting on delivery of our 3 ceiling fans. Overall, we are pleased with our home and we accredit that all to [name removed].

Salesperson was very inflexible and hard to get a hold of. Areas of design of the home needed to be altered because of mistakes made that did not meet permit inspection. [name removed] would not alter installation of irrigation to accommodate plans for a pool. This caused major damage to the irrigation that could have been avoided if [name removed] was more accommodating.

Subcontractors used weren't always as skilled as needed but that seems to be an issue for every builder. The landscape was below par, specifically regarding bumpy unleveled lawn as well as drainage issues at the front of the house.

We were disappointed about the quality of the cabinets - lack of custom color options, lack of soft close doors, factory quality doesn't align with a luxury, custom home builder. We wish we would have been consulted about the specs of the driveway. It's too narrow. We would have paid to widen it and add accommodations for additional parking.

While, I think the house design is beautiful and Mr. [removed] and Sale's staff where great, there were a lot of issues with the home upon move in. I have submitted service requests without follow-up. I currently do not have a functioning AC unit - the house does not heat - we are entering winter. I paid for upgraded cabinets, but there are issues issues with them. I cannot get anyone to correct them. There are a couple of issues with the upgrading flooring. I have a non-functioning flood light in the back and there are a number other cosmetic issues. If not for all this and the non-responsiveness to our service request, I would highly recommend the builder.

It is a lovely home [removed] we love the features that come standard. Stone to the ceiling on the fireplace, stone on the island, double ovens, microwave drawer,etc. Also their preferred lender [removed] title company make the whole process seamless.

It is obvious the home was not built by skilled craftsman nor anyone who takes much pride in their work. At first glance it is a nice home because it is brand new but once you experience the details of the home you begin to realize how the homes seem to be thrown together. The sub contractors don't apparently don't work together or with any concern for the others. For example, the cabinets are installed [removed] the painters lack the care to mask so overspray is on everything. Then the cabinet guy comes out three times to fix something & I send him home because he just does not have the ability to fix the problem. The overall rating comes from the the fact that it is an expensive home they are built quickly & cheaply. I fear the repairs & replacements that will be needed 5 & 10 years from now. I grew up in a true custom built home that 35 years later still stands with impeccable craftsmanship; outstanding masonry, extraordinary woodwork & quality components.
