Community Profile

After building residences for over 30 years, we’ve seen a lot of trends come and go. But one thing remains the same: if you build high-quality, forward-thinking homes in places people want to live, you’ll have happy customers for life. At least, that’s how we do things at View Homes.

We pride ourselves on crafting new homes inspired by innovation, that blend timeless beauty with I-can’t-believe-that’s-included standard features. We understand exactly how our buyers want to live, and we design accordingly. And we top it all off with best-in-class customer service aimed at exceeding even the highest of expectations. It’s not how every home builder does it — but we’re not like every other home builder.

I don’t believe Horizon [name removed] Homes acted in good faith during the build of my home.

[name removed] our sales agent was awesome to work with. We had been in contact with her over a year before the development got started. She followed up with us and answered the many questions we had. Without her follow through not sure we would have actually got the house of our dreams.

Disliked working with Blue Spot for the loan. Errors in their paperwork and very end of the day submittals to us was uncalled for We were told the septic and leachfield location in our back yard had to go from one side of the house to the opposite side of the back yard and that was a county requirement. The other homes that have been built since then have the septic and leachfield located on one side of the back yard, so obviously what we were told was incorrect. The result is a back yard where we are more limited for improvements due to untrue requirements of the location for the septic and leachfield. The L bracket fasteners for the closet clothes rods are far too small to hold clothes. I have had to replace all closet bracket fasteners with larger fasteners.. We were told there is a PVC pipe under the driveway so we can more easily install irrigation. No such PVC pipe exists. The PVC that was installed to carry rain water from the downspouts ends abruptly buried next to the driveway. I had to dig to connect drain lines to the PVC and divert the flow of water 35' away from the house, in order to prevent water from undermining the driveway. There are stains on the front threshold that I cannot remove with any cleaners I have tried. The fill diet used around the house to bring it up to the required grade is of poor quality. It contains chunks of asphalt, broken concrete, and general construction trash that I have spent many hours trying to remove the debris. The floor vents and nearby ductwork contained sizable amounts of drywall chunks, spray foam chunks, misc nails and screws, and drywall dust. I have cleaned the floor vents and associated ductwork with my shop vac so that we are no longer circulating construction dust. Relatedly I have changed the furnace filter twice since 5/29 in an effort to clean the ventilation system and our air. The furnace was making quite a lot of noise occasionally. I discovered 2 self tapping screws near the squirrel cage fan that would move and rattle when the blower motor ran. I removed the loose screws. In the bottom of the furnace below the filter there was a section of PVC. Since it wasn't connected to anything I removed it from the bottom of the furnace when I was vacuuming the drywall dust
