Our experience was seamless. We walked into a couple of Horizon [name removed] homes after touring other builders' homes in the area, and we knew that the quality of a Horizon [name removed] home was far above that of the competitors. [name removed] made sure all of our questions were answered, and he was always available to address our concerns. He was the difference-maker in our home buying process because right from the get-go, he was friendly and informative.

The warranty has been a nightmare. I still have a hole in my ceiling where there was a water leak and multiple attempts at paint to make it “work good enough”. I now have another issue with a new hole by my stairs. It has been an awful experience and the person involved in warranty has told me they have people with bigger problems she needs to help. I have tried to reach out to corporate and get no where. So disappointing

Mostly as a first time new home buyer, we don't know what to ask at the regular check-ins. It would be helpful for them to just have information to go over or common questions to suggest to us so we know more what to ask.

[name removed] orientation/walk through was WAY too rushed. Ended up missing several things that should have been caught and fixed. Closing was an hour away but with a “mobile closing agent”! [name removed] and [name removed] have been great to work with but we keep finding things that are scratched, damaged or not put together right that came from rushing or carelessness. It is disappointing with a brand new home.

Things that I mention that aren't working. Blinds, huge crack on bedroom ceiling (I fix the small ones), The ac doesn't even try to work for the upstairs I had a professional look at it and they laughed at what you put in there and wants to charge be 16k to put the correct one in, My house was crooked the inspector saw it so you "fixed it" with a jack. Now the pillars are starting to separate, the floors are already separating, the stair rails are getting loose. I haven't been in this home a year yet.

Everyone at HV truly cares about the homeowners. They have a genuine desire to solve problems with the highest quality in mind. Communication has been a challenge at times. HV has been operating with limited resources as everyone has. I would like to see better coverage for when people are out of the office.

The project manager was great. He did the walk through with us and pointed out things we missed and made sure it was all fixed by the time we signed the papers. The sales person in the office was good at first but really needs to work on her demeanor once the house is bought. Asked her a question and her response was “well, did you bring it up during the walk through?” Even when we told her it happened a week later. She just repeated her earlier question so we said, “ no, I guess we didn’t” and left. Wouldn’t it have been better to be helpful? To point us in the right direction? Does she think her job ends at the sale? We know people looking for homes, we live in this area and have multiple chances through the years to recommend Horizon. Her “niceness” should never end with the sale of the home.

I told them week one my sons blinds didnt work. Instead of scheduling anything they wanted to schedule a tour of my home which I already got from [name removed] and [name removed]. The air conditioning is horrible. I will have to get a 2nd one to air the up stairs. They never told me they wernt staining my fence they even showed me the stain I guess for no reason. [name removed] the sales rep came over I asked if they could fix that and that was a hard no from them. The customer service seems to be not great. I feel horrible about my first build.
