Overall, I've disliked the number of issues I've had with the home since purchasing it. Despite bringing some pretty significant issues to the builder prior to closing, the issues started the moment I moved in, literally. In addition, the warranty manager recently told me "We've actually fired everyone who built your home," which does not make me, a customer, feel good about my purchase and implies that things were done in a shotty manner and thrown together. I will say that since my initial complaints about the warranty manager on the first survey, things have improved, which I am thankful for. She has been much easier to work with, as long as I stay on top of things on my end.

1) Although the blue tape was removed prior to my final walk through, I have found multiple areas within the home that still have blue tape on them or had blue tape on them but did not actually get fixed. I am now being told that warranty will not cover these items despite being things that needed to be fixed prior to my final walk-through. Also, my final walk through with the [name removed] was very rushed because he only had a short period of time to complete the walk-through so I did not get to check behind all doors, etc where the issues remain. He also only wanted to focus on appliance use. 2) I had an inspection on the home prior to moving in. The inspector brought concerns regarding the HVAC system to Horizon Homes, however, was told that he was wrong. When I moved in, I could not get the heater to run more than 10 minutes without choking itself out, thus could not get the temperature to increase. I contacted [name removed] with the Warranty team, notified her. The HVAC contractor had to be called out 3 times within 2 days, and still was not resolved. It then took multiple calls to [name removed] to get the parts that were promised, which were not actually delivered until 1 month into me being in the home.

[name removed], the sales associate, was top notch. He kept in touch throughout the entire process. A month after closing, he's still check in with me, to make sure I have no issues. Quality of the house is excellent, the best I've seen in the six homes I've built. Only one warranty issue so far and it was taken care of quickly and correctly. Building the home, getting financing, closing, warranty...each step was very smooth.
