I loved the premium build options already included in the pricing and the options to change the color pallets. It made the buying process smooth and easy and it didn't over complicate everything by sending us to a design studio and being completely overwhelmed by options. Which in turn changes the prices dramatically and catches the buyer off-guard. The warranty team has been amazing and responds very quickly to any issues. It really gave me peace of mind and trust knowing that any issues would be resolved. My only ding on my satisfaction was lack of information from the salesman and available options. I had no clue that having the backyard landscaped was an option. I was told it would be just dirt and unfinished and I had a fixed period of time to complete the yard. After moving in I realized this was an option after talking to my neighbors and I was really upset by it. However this does not represent Horizon [name removed] as a whole, just one customer service representative who made an error. I am very pleased with the home and I'm happy with Horizon view homes!

I disliked that they rushed the build at the end, so they didn’t have to pay taxes. I’m doing so, we are now having to have issues fixed. Also, when the warranty dept. was ran by [name removed], things didn’t get fixed. It is going on a year now to just get stuff fixed. [name removed] also held the blue tape hostage during the walk through in hopes we wouldn’t mark things up.

I would say I dislike that we weren’t told about the water restrictions. We were told at closing there was no HOA. Then we received a letter after closing from the Liberty Mead Metropolitan District stating there is a yearly $400 maintenance fee. Call it what you want, it’s still an HOA and should have been disclosed prior to closing. Also by rushing the build of this house to get it Closed by the end of the year, we have found multiple issues with quality of our home. Most of which are cosmetic, but none the less it’s still a quality issue. As far as the people who work for you and that we dealt with throughout the process They were fantastic.

We really liked the meetings with everyone on the construction team and with Adam, our sales rep. We liked the orientation walk. We liked the ability to stop in and see the progress. We liked the simple choices available for the floor plan and finishes. For the most part communication was great, though there were a few times things almost fell through the cracks and we almost missed something we had wanted. Namely the pre construction walk through. But we did get that, and it went very well. I know some of that was construction timelines and contractors and things a bit out of everyone’s control. I would have liked to know know about the changes to the floor plan with the need to raise the foundation earlier. That was an unexpected change I hadn’t expected, and it makes sense, but I would have liked to know that was a possibility that the stairs would be added/extended/changed on the porches and the garage. Overall, we were very impressed with the process and the final result.

I would have to say, the majority of our experience with Horizon [name removed] homes has been great, prior to closing on the home the team was amazing. I would have to say I am disappointed in the warranty process, so many days missed from work for coordinating vendors that don't show to now being told it is what it is about a pending floor repair from more than 6 months ago. Now in order to get this repair completed I will have to hire my own vendor and pay for it since no one wants to deal with it. I understand teams are short staffed and the time spent to make the correct repair can interrupt someone's day, but don't offer warranty on items your not willing to fully warrant.

Contract and sales team were fantastic. Communication was outstanding. Actual delivery of a quality home is only reason this wasn’t a 10. The house could have been cleaner, drywall texture and paint left some to be desired.

I absolutely loved our contractor/builders, [name removed] and [name removed]! They were extremely responsive and forthright. Told us what they could and couldn’t do. And at our last 2 walk-throughs (and since) [name removed] has been amazing with responding to any questions or concerns and proactively checking on us. I really appreciate the weekly pictures and updates. My feedback on the photos would be to take just a couple of more seconds to take clean photos…photos with dumpster or car just came out a little sloppy or like they weren’t putting in much effort. Also, when purchasing the house, we weren’t made awareness of all of the available upgrades…not finding out about them until our first meeting with the contractor. But again, [name removed] was very quick to respond to any questions and to proactively let us know things. The GREAT communication made delays not so hard because it was truly easy to believe everyone was doing everything they could.

I opened a ticket on May 7th for a leaky sprinkler in my front lawn and never received a response back. We ended up fixing it ourselves (Malfunction in the sprinkler head causing it not to seal correctly after use).
