The only issue we had was possibly some miscommunication during the selections phase regarding sprinkler systems. We were told Ideal did not do them during selection but during our walk-thru appointments we were told that you did do them

Some slight construction quality issues that have happened. Doors sticking and becoming unaligned with locks. Two door stoppers have fallen off the wall. Crack above one door leading to utility room

The process of the purchase was pretty smooth. We love our house! One of the things we feel were not taken care of was.....We brought attention to the carpet and tack strips throughout the house and on the stairs. The tack strips throughout the house are felt when walking through thresholds and on the inside of the steps, when not wearing shoes. We were told the carpet was done correctly.

[name removed] and [name removed] were great from start to finish. [name removed] worked with our schedule to show us houses. After the second showing with [name removed] we were able to make a decision. One of reasons we went with Ideal Homes was due to the fact that each home is unique. Your living in a neighborhood where not every house is the same. That's important to us. The people that live here smile and wave. We love the quiet, and even though homes are being built next to us we cannot hear the construction in our home. The hardest part was waiting about 35+ days to close. I'm not sure if this was due to the type of loan we chose, but it was worth the wait. I now commute about 40 mins to work, but this home is worth the commute. To be in a safe neighborhood is a peace of mind. Overall, we are impressed from start to finish. Thank you for making our first home buying experience a less stressful one!

I have zero dislikes with Ideal Homes. I've had nothing but a wonderful experience with them. My sales associate was amazing and patient. The design process was so fun and I appreciated the price of the upgrades being wrapped into the total price of the home. I loved being able to visit the house at any time during the building process. Ideal was also able to meet my closing deadline that I needed in order to move out of my apartment at the end of lease and into my home, which I am so grateful for. Customer Service has been great with any issues once I moved in as well. Mr. [name removed] is awesome!

There were several major issues with the systems at move-in (main electrical was cut and had to be re-run with temporary lines, sewer was cut and caused a backup in the house). Also have had quite a few minor issues that required the trades to be back out to repair.

There was nothing that I disliked. My new home consultant and builder both kept me updated pretty much weekly throughout the whole process, which was great! I never had to worry about not knowing anything. I loved that I was able to walk the home through the building process. I loved how responsive my whole team was (consultant, builder and lender).

Honestly, it was great. The biggest pain has been the HOA and their lack of communication with the design center. The design center recommended extra concrete on the side of our house for trash cans and then we received a fine from the HOA for having our trash cans visible from the street.

That my yard still looks terrible and floods constantly and the fence you tore down and put back up is now uneven. All the cabinets in the home are basically damaged in one way or another. Really cheap material was used.

I had an issue with my dishwasher/garbage disposal that took some time to resolve. There was a lot of back and forth as to who was responsible, appliance supplier or electrician. I wish this had been resolved in a more timelt fashion but, ultimately, the issue has been taken care of. My biggest complaint is regarding a commitment made to me prior to closing regarding the dead grass that had been laid in my yard. I was promised in text that this would be taken care if the grass did not respond within 2 weeks of closing. Ultimately, it required several months and considerable assertiveness on my part before this situation was corrected. It was such a simple fix and it did not have to be handled this way. It is the only thing that keeps me from being able to give a perfect rating which is unfortunate. Promises made should be kept.

It was mostly wonderful, Ideal homes went out of their way to be helpful. However, it was very confusing what was the responsibility of Ideal Homes and what was the responsibility of the developer. That communication could use some work.

The entire process of 15 months. The constant delays for little things. Should of been in our home by January. You have the worst Brokers I’ve ever worked with. If it wasn’t for [name removed], I would of never stayed with Ideal. [name removed] is rude. Receiving a Bible was a slap in the face when you allow your staff to act the way they do.

I am SICKENED by the fact that your company claims to build ADA Wheelchair friendly homes, and yet when my VA representative and myself called your company....(Ideal Homes XXX-XXX-XXXX we had absolutely no compassion or concerns given to us, to help us adapt our Ideal house for my disabled husband!!! Now we are in a race against time for when the VA will approve the grant to make the necessary adaptations that could have been done so easily by your company during construction. My husband has ALS, and time is not on our side.

I had to pay $275 during the cold snap to have heat tape placed all along the heating duct. The tape only went 10 ft and that left some exposed. I was told I had to pay the invoice. I also have an extreme dip in my front lawn which will require a drain. An estimate id $1000. I have not heard if this is covered or not with the warranty, which I feel both these issues should be.

I woud like to start be explaining that I have built 5 homes over the past 20 years so I am very familiar with the process and recognize that there are always challanges. As is typical, everything went very smoothly until I signed the contract. I opted not to involve a realtor but, in hind sight, I have regreted this decision as I believe that no one felt accountable to me after signing. I did everything on my end in a timely and efficient manner and was even told that both my design and construction meetings were some of the fastest that both [name removed] and Mr. [name removed] had experienced. My issues strarted with the design meeting. The meeting itself went very smoothly. I had done my homework and was prepared to make all my selections. I had expressed the importance of this since I was living out of state and needed all of this resolved in one meeting. I had picked a blue backsplash shown to me by [name removed]. The tiles shown were all blue but after leaving the meeting, I goggled the tile and found that the sample in the show room was not representative as the actual tiles had large splotches of purple. There was nothing in my design that would have made this a reasonable choice. I immediately called devereux and asked if i could stop in the show room to reselect prior to my leaving town the following day. While she agreed that the pruprle splotches were in the tile and also that she was not aware of this prurple, she made it very difficult for me to come back and correct this issue. As the design consultant, she should be aware of what her samples actually look like and not expect that I would do the research to discover this on my own. With the selections made things proceeded relatively smoothly throguh the construction meeting with Mr [name removed]. This meeting was done via zoom and Mr [name removed] again stated that i was very prepared and efficient. Throughout the process he and my sales consultant preiodically sent me pictures and i caught several issues. There were outlets missing, the fireplace was not as designed, full house gutters were not installed, garage door hinges not installed and other small details. Whenever i brought these oversights to the attention of [name removed] he reacted as if I had somehow done something wrong. It is his job to insure that the house is bulit according to the selections I made. Living out of state, I should not have had to rely on photos to catch these oversights. ultimately, all these issues were resolved to my satisfaction and i would have given a 10 rating if not for the final issue. A large portion of my grass was dead at the time it was installed. It was installed 2 weeks prior to my closing so I did not have the opportunity to water the grass as needed. I did note that the front yard was watered and that this grass was able to survive. however, the backyard which was already in bad sheap when installed, did not get watered at all during the long 4th of july weekend until i closed on 7/8. When i did my final walk through with [name removed] the week prior to closong this was discussed and she agreed the grass looked bad and verbally agreed that the grass would be replaced if it did not respond to watering within 2 weeks. Furthermore, Mr [name removed] promised in writing via text message that the grass would be replaced in two weeks if it did not respond. Sadly, these promises were not kept. I am the type of person to keep my word and expect that others will do the same but that does not seem to be the policy of Ideal Homes. I did eveythign on my end to revive the grass as is evident by the surrounding areas of grass being thick and healthy. I was given the expectation that this would be resolved and have been treated very poorly when i have followed up trying to get this taken care of. I wrote a check for $212,000 and I don't think live grass is to much to ask for. This is paticulatly frustrating given that I have seen grass in the neighborhood left to die on the pallet that could have been put in my yard. This is such a easy thing to fix and could have made all the difference in my final experience. As is stands now, I feel that i was lied to and that Ideal homes can not be trusted to keep their word.

That my yard still looks terrible and floods constantly and the fence you tore down and put back up is now uneven. All the cabinets in the home are basically damaged in one way or another. Really cheap material was used.

I had an issue with my dishwasher/garbage disposal that took some time to resolve. There was a lot of back and forth as to who was responsible, appliance supplier or electrician. I wish this had been resolved in a more timelt fashion but, ultimately, the issue has been taken care of. My biggest complaint is regarding a commitment made to me prior to closing regarding the dead grass that had been laid in my yard. I was promised in text that this would be taken care if the grass did not respond within 2 weeks of closing. Ultimately, it required several months and considerable assertiveness on my part before this situation was corrected. It was such a simple fix and it did not have to be handled this way. It is the only thing that keeps me from being able to give a perfect rating which is unfortunate. Promises made should be kept.

I had to pay $275 during the cold snap to have heat tape placed all along the heating duct. The tape only went 10 ft and that left some exposed. I was told I had to pay the invoice. I also have an extreme dip in my front lawn which will require a drain. An estimate id $1000. I have not heard if this is covered or not with the warranty, which I feel both these issues should be.

I have zero dislikes with Ideal Homes. I've had nothing but a wonderful experience with them. My sales associate was amazing and patient. The design process was so fun and I appreciated the price of the upgrades being wrapped into the total price of the home. I loved being able to visit the house at any time during the building process. Ideal was also able to meet my closing deadline that I needed in order to move out of my apartment at the end of lease and into my home, which I am so grateful for. Customer Service has been great with any issues once I moved in as well. Mr. [name removed] is awesome!

There were several major issues with the systems at move-in (main electrical was cut and had to be re-run with temporary lines, sewer was cut and caused a backup in the house). Also have had quite a few minor issues that required the trades to be back out to repair.

Honestly, it was great. The biggest pain has been the HOA and their lack of communication with the design center. The design center recommended extra concrete on the side of our house for trash cans and then we received a fine from the HOA for having our trash cans visible from the street.
