I’m disappointed of how my attic was left. I hadn’t even got up there until a few days ago to store some paintings. The extra flooring/tile is everywhere. There was empty beer cans throughout. Modella to be specific. The tile is so heavy that I can barely even move the boxes. Trash everywhere. I was appalled…or let’s say I am appalled. Certainly someone higher up in management needs to inspect that area in each home before a buyer takes over. My first contact w Ideal Homes was [name removed]. She’s been a delight. She really sold me on the whole situation. She would have been so embarrassed if she would have seen the shape of my attic recently.

Finishing touches, especially texturing and painting were not even close to the quality I expected for a house in this price range. Did not allow us to move our backyard fence closer to house which would have saved Ideal money on fencing and sod. Clean-up after completion was not what I expected. Lots of paint drops on floor and lights/fan blades were completely covered in sanding dust.

The lower grades are not really Ideal's fault to be honest. It's the subcontractors we have the majority of gripes about. Painters and Cabinetry has been a comedy of errors and poor professionalism. One example was the wooden hood on our range vent was out of alignment. The workman wanted me to okay him to nail the panel in place. By doing so it would have blocked any access to the ventilation duct and other items behind the access panel. He tried to convince me on three occasions that this would be the ONLY way it could be fixed. Ultimately they replaced the panel (no nailing involved). Ideal personnel have been attentive.

We love our home, but when we first moved in, we felt that there were many little things that probably should have been addressed before we moved in. Again, mostly little things - quite a bit of touch-up paint needed on the interior/exterior, outside gate didn't latch, garage door had a large gap showing above it, paint was all over the door sweeps, driveway had not been powerwashed, etc. Ideal Homes was wonderful to immediately address all of those things (and others) as soon as we reported them. This is our 4th Ideal Home, and we are more than satisfied overall or we wouldn't continue to purchase them. We firmly believe any new home is going to have some glitches at first, but only a reputable builder like Ideal Homes makes it right in such a friendly and timely manner. Great job!

My plumbing is still an issue it hasn’t backed up again but it is gurgling again. I have never been contacted for any of the inspections 2 month or 6 month. When I do have a problem [name removed] has [name removed] them. I just didn’t expect to have this many problems on a new house. It’s been one problem after another. I do like the home and location. I’m not going to get into all of the problems there have been too many to list

I still have things incomplete from the beginning of my home. Window issue in particular. No water pressure in master bathroom sinks. A lot of grout/caulking issues.

I really enjoyed meeting the builder and being allowed in my home while it was under construction to take progress photos. I felt like I was involved at each stage.

I loved the people we worked with during the build process... [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] were all absolutely amazing. Since the build was completed, any issues that arise have been harder to get fixed. We have to call multiple times to get assistance, have outstanding tickets for weeks or months at a time and now that [name removed] was let go have no idea who our customer service rep is. [name removed] is extremely sweet, but is only one person and I feel like she needs help to keep up with the amount of work she has to dispatch as well.

The customer service is amazing. the only reason they aren't getting all 10's, is because there has been major delays in the park and pool that were supposed to be here last summer and the HOA has already drastically gone up.

What i like the most was interacting with specific people: [name removed], [name removed] (handy man), and [name removed] - they are so helpful, responsive and knowledgeable- i felt that they loved what they do and addressed my concerns in a professional and timely manner. What i like the least is the insulation in my home - i can be in any room in the house, talking in a normal tone and hold a conversation with someone else on the opposite end of the house - with the doors closed! (We tried it lol). For an energy efficient home, I expected more insulation and was told by my sales rep [name removed] that the windows would not take on the outside temperature.... but they do.
