Customer service after the sale is atrocious. [name removed] of all, the number of items that I've had to request service for is in my opinion way too many and demonstrates a lack of pride in workmanship amongst the trades. Second, it takes MULTIPLE calls and emails to get anyone from customer service to take any action. Some items have taken in excess of 2 months to get resolved. Often times when I have called to check the status on a pending item the person I talk to doesn't seem to have any idea about why I am calling and I've been told at times that there's "nothing in our system" about requests that I had submitted many times. At this point I really hope that I don't have any more service items because of the sheer frustration and amount of time that it takes to get them done

When I emailed customer care, I did not receive a reply or response until I complained to [name removed]. It still took another 24 hours to hear back from someone but my first inspection was finally scheduled. The things that were brought to [name removed]'s attention were fixed in a timely manner. However, when I first moved in, I noticed that I was missing a downspout on the front of the house and my builder, [name removed] confirmed it. I did not mention it to [name removed], but I sent another email on 9/30/21 about the downspout. No one responded until I sent an email on 10/6/21 asking if anyone was receiving my emails and [name removed] responded that my emails have been received and were forwarded to [name removed]. I still haven't heard from [name removed] and I don't have a downspout!

The one thing that I regret, although I can live with it, I choose the front of my home without asking about the home next door. Now our porches are on the same side and I wish they weren't!

Still waiting on the french drain to be installed that was supposed to happen a month ago. Needed plugs added to walls and the electricians never called back.

After I closed I came by my house & there was cleaning people here. I fell like they should have been thru & out of my house before I closed. It looked like they didn’t clean anything, except rub the vacuum in the bedrooms. There was still dust throughout the house, in the cabinets, outside of cabinets and on every surface. There was black looking dots like an overspray on my kitchen &.bathroom surfaces. I had to clean everything myself so you might want to check on who’s supposed to be cleaning up the houses because they didn’t clean mine. There’s some issues that still need fixed? Some paint on ceiling & a broken piece of wood inside a kitchen drawer these still need to be fixed. With all that being said, It was such a pleasure working with [name removed] & [name removed].

My home has had a lot of issues and the quality of my home has not been near like the one I owned previously that was built 3.5 years ago. You can tell trades were very sloppy and there was no attention to detail. A lot of the issues I had went unfixed for months but have finally started to be resolved.

Overall my wife and I had an excellent experience. Every single Ideal employee that we encountered had great customer care. Our new home consultant, [name removed], especially. The next few items that I am going to mention are dis-likes but not huge flaws. I am hoping that my comments will improve future customer experience. (1)At the design center we felt that we were a bit rushed. I would have liked to take more time to discuss options and take a closer look at the selections. (2)Also, the "options" page and "design guide" did not seem to be up to date. We studied the papers and then when we got to the design center there were multiple options that were either discontinued or new options that were not mentioned. (3) There seemed to be some miscommunication between the design center and builders. There were multiple instances that the builders paperwork did not match up with what we had on our final options addendum. Most of everything was corrected throughout the build but it was a hassle and a worry. (4) My biggest dislike of all. The different contractors that were hired for the build did a very lazy job in multiple areas. Mainly the painters and cleaners. Our home was very dirty. We bought a new home and expected it to look as such. Saw dust everywhere, red dirt on tile, grout, baseboards throughout the home. I do understand that it is not entirely ideal homes fault. However, the contractors hired are a direct representation of the builder and the overall company.
