Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

[name removed] was an excellent realtor to work with and remained helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. However, the construction experience itself was filled with challenges from the beginning. We were not informed that the project manager had changed until we received a call from [name removed]. Shortly afterward, I drove by our lot, took a picture, and sent it to my husband, [name removed] that’s when we discovered that our home was being built on the wrong lot. [name removed] immediately contacted [name removed] to report the issue, but we heard nothing back for some time. Later, I received a call from [name removed] informing us that the house was indeed being built on the wrong lot. [name removed] was instrumental in resolving that major and we truly appreciate her efforts in getting it corrected. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. The framing of the home appeared poorly done we took photos as documentation and although the builder eventually corrected it, the quality was concerning. Then, all of the windows were installed backwards (again documented with photos). The concrete was poured during a rainstorm, which led to it being broken up and completely re-poured. Each of these problems was brought to their attention by [name removed] and me none were caught by the project team themselves. During a walk-through, we also discovered that the kitchen cabinets were the wrong color. We had carefully selected our finishes, and what was installed did not match. The proposed solution was to paint the cabinets, which was not acceptable to us. We scheduled a team meeting with everyone involved including the interior designer and his supervisor but the experience was frustrating. The design team was unhelpful and unwilling to take ownership of the mistake. Ultimately, [name removed] once again stepped in and was able to secure a $1,000 credit toward the purchase of the home, which we appreciated, though it came from her efforts rather than the design staff. By the time we reached the move-in stage, we were told the home would be professionally cleaned twice. In reality, I found myself on my hands and knees scraping caulk residue from the floor. We had to completely scrub and clean the house from the construction. A situation even [name removed] witnessed. We took it upon ourselves to clean the home properly because it simply wasn’t done to move-in standards. After everything, this process has been long and unnecessarily difficult. We’ve done our best to stay patient and reasonable, but at this point, we don’t know how much more we can continue to report without feeling like we’re being overly demanding. From dents in the faucet and chips in the tile, to both bathrooms needing to be re-grouted consistent lack of attention to detail and pride in workmanship has been deeply disappointing. We truly hope that our experience helps bring attention to these ongoing quality issues and prevents others from going through the same. We also want to make mention of [name removed]. He has been extremely helpful in resolving a lot of issues after moving. In.

It was surprisingly very easy and the process wasn’t as stressful as I imagined it would be! I’m so grateful to be here and a part of the ideal family! Thank you!

There was an initial pest problem but they were quick to help us! Don’t know if it’s too soon to say but it seems like it’s been taken care of.
