My ac unit still needs fixed… they replaced the recall condenser with another recalled condenser so it still makes noise… The hot water heater also had a part that was on recall causing me not to have hot water for a week… The garage door fell on me and had to be fixed luckily my kids weren’t outside… My upstairs ac didn’t work for the first 2 weeks I lived here during the summer… One of my cabinet doors isn’t the same size as the other and still hasn’t been fixed… And there were some dings/dents on the door frame/dry wall that was supposed to be fixed before I moved in which wasn’t… [name removed] assured me that they would come and fix it… it’s been 6 months and still not fixed. 2/3 toilets weren’t working when I moved in for the first 3 weeks…. The bathtub still has cracks along the sides amongst other plumbing complaints I had/have

I loved that the builder sent me an email every Friday to tell me progress made that week and what was scheduled to be done next week. Talking with the builder each week was extremely helpful. The experience with the sales person was fine in the beginning including the picking of the lot and signing the contract as it all was done by email and Facetime. I request the salesperson to send me a picture of the progress of the home build but he never sent one single picture to me. It was difficult for me being in Florida and having the home built in [name removed] City. When Ideal Homes changed to have the sales staff do the Friday updates it was crazy. The salesperson had to call the builder to get the information to pass on. The builder was not saving time by telling salesperson to then tell me. The procedure needs to be re-evaluated.

Where to begin…We have waited for 5 months for our bathroom door to be replaced. It is a double door and the style is mismatched. We had to report this issue multiple times before the door was ordered. [name removed] came out to replace it and it was the WRONG SWING!! We are currently in limbo as to where we are in the process of getting an additional replacement. We have a missing shelf in our upper kitchen cabinet that we were told was waiting at the design center, but no one seems to know anything about it. We have nail holes in our cabinet above our washer and dryer that were reported on the original punch list yet to be repaired. We have several areas of tile in our living room and kitchen missing large portions of grout. We have to go through several contact channels just to get a phone call back about warranty work. We often leave voicemails without getting a return call. We purchased a home 10 years ago with Ideal. We never had any issues getting someone to help us. We loved this home and the quality of it so much we chose to build a custom home when we were ready for an upgrade. I feel this is a completely different company and I’m truly disappointed. We throughly enjoyed the design process and [name removed] was amazing. [name removed] was always gracious when asked to look at the house during construction. There was zero communication on possible construction end dates even through several construction delays. Ultimately this left us with our home sold and we were essentially homeless during the severe snowstorm and winter weather in February for 2 weeks. Our lender was blaming ideal and ideal was blaming our lender. Our only option given to us was to walk away from our contract. I truly felt this company didn’t care our family of 4 with 3 dogs was displaced during such a critical time.

Lack of attention to detail in the home and the leveling of the lot before the landscaping is probably the worst I have ever seen. The sod is almost all weeds. [name removed] just on my house, but I have seen on others where the exterior fixtures are installed before the siding is painted. This means when I upgraded my exterior lighting I had to paint the siding before hanging new lights. We have to recessed cubbies, one on each side of our fireplace. One is 6” wider than the other. The windows in our bedroom, one is almost an inch higher than the other. Our wood floor looks awful in several areas. The paint job is awful.

The quality of craftsmanship, we had to tell the project manager about things that were wrong several times if we didn’t come by the house things would of never been caught. We have been in our house for over a month and we still have things that need to still be done that should of been done before closing. They never told us about an alarm system company they just left a wire sticking out the wall then when I found out who was the alarm company that worked with ideal home’s came they stated they don’t even use wires. So we had to patch the hole and push the wire in the wall. Our cabinets are all messed up. There is dings and separation with the kitchen cabinets and when we did our walk thru they said oh I am sorry we can’t fix those. Paint on the exterior house was never finished, our sod for our yard was laid during the winter storm we had so most of it is dead and not growing.
