I liked the ease of communication when it came to purchasing my home. I appreciated the ability to work around scheduling for dates of closure. I enjoyed their loyalty to me as a customer when it came to the purchase of my home. One particular thing that has discouraged my purchase of my home is the home not being completely as good as it could be yet. There's still minor things that have yet to be addressed and "completed" on my walk through of my home.

I was told when we bought the house that our sod would not be covered under warranty. The sod was marked as questionable during our walk thru before signing. I then spent months of watering just for the grass to never grow. We had our driveway replaced and they left concrete chunks all throughout the yard around the driveway and dirt and chunks of concrete that has not been cleaned and that was over a month ago.

The absolute best part of our entire experience with Ideal was working with [name removed] in Quality Assurance. After several constructions mistakes made by incorrect POs and builders, she did EVERYTHING in her power to not only get those mistakes corrected but also fought for us to receive other compensation. She spent so much time making sure our home would be completed to our standards and exceptions and made sure everything was done before closing. I cannot say enough good things about [name removed]!

I have called and requested someone to come and take a look at my shower. It has been two weeks now. Other than that, when my lawn was sodded back at the closing date, an ice storm rolled thru. Most likely, this sod was dead before it even had a chance to grow. My mistake for not including that in the contract. That being said, something to think about with homes closing in the dead of winter.

[name removed] gave me his number said to contact anytime I needed he never replies. My sod never took in my front yard and pieces of my back I’ve watered and did everything and it’s dead can’t get anyone to contact us about replacing the sod as the yard looks horrrible. The house is now settling and causing issues with doors and cabinets not closing easily. The garbage disposal we have is the cheapest one on the market and is complete junk.our fence was out up wrong in my opinion the dog behind us as well as my dog can put half there head thru at the bottom bc the fence wasn’t placed all the way to the ground. I think there needs to be a French drain placed between the house next door and mine as water floods thru and standing water when it rains over there.i have pieces of trim that weren’t painted. They did horrible job painting my front door on both sides. The top of our garage door has several places we’re it wasn’t painted. The side garage door has the biggest Slope it’s horrible all they came out and did was shovel a couple scoops of dirt around the cement but it still slopes off can’t even put Polycart over there bc of the slope just not happy with many things and the communication is horrible.

My customer care rep was not very organized. It took months to complete our “move in” check list. I felt as if I had to constantly remind her what needed to be done or to follow up on getting things done. When it came to the final thing on our checklist, I reached out to her to see when our new window would be installed. She never returned my message, but I did get a call from the window company. I work in a similar environment so it makes no sense to me how you work in customer care, but you are not customer oriented.

I wish I had refused to close on the home until it was finished because it's taken several months, and nagging from me, to get everything done. The worst were the exterior painters. When I moved in there was concrete splatter on the walls of back patio and front porch, front door was unpainted. After being told by [name removed] several times that he'd call or be there, I got stood up after waiting around all day. When painters did come, I couldn't communicate with them because they didn't speak English. Now the front door has bits of white showing through, I have blue paint on my door mat and they reattached my hose (that I had removed and covered the faucet for winter) to clean their equipment which was fine. But they left the hose attached which I didnt notice because I usually drive in the garage, and it was so tight I had to call a family member to come over at night to try to get the hose off on a night before the temp was supposed to get down to 16. Now he says my faucet may be damaged trying to get the hose off. It's very frustrating to see the new builds all around me with finished exterior painting and I had to work so hard to get it done on my house. I guess it was because I'd already paid for my house so it wasn't a priority.

I felt as though the concerns we were giving were not taken serious and the information we were given was not accurate. For example my husband had made mention to the GC about our windows being broken the following week they were installed back in May when they were installed and we still have the same two broken windows. We saw plots that still had the “available” sign on them at the time get completed before ours. There was times when we would get weekly updates but they did not match with the time frame we got. When we did our walkthrough for the final time so much was still left to be completed and I was told about maybe pushing the closing date back but with todays interest rates we couldn’t do it. Our final walkthrough was Sept. 29 and the wooden beams on our front porch that they installed were in poor condition so we were told they’d be ordered and replaced, we barely got a call last week saying that our broken windows and beams are barely being ordered a month after closing. We did not have the best experience and it seemed like no one tried to make things right, instead just brushed them off.

From we Didn’t get a closing gift bc “we didn’t have a special bond” to never putting that knobs in that I was told that house came with. Purchase experience was great. Just have a few things that were not taken care of: the sod was not watered properly between placement and our closing. A lawncare professional from [name removed] [name removed] told us that sections of our sod was beyond repair. This was after dedicated watering on my part since closing. There are sections of the side walk that had chunks of the concrete missing and the repair job wasn't quality - even some chunks that were missed. And we still do not have matching windows on the front of our house.

I am missing 2 front window screens and others with the same Windows have there's They is a repairs to the back door frame that have not been done and both things were reported. These are very easy to fix but no action has been taken. There is a home owner across From me who has added on to the back of the house and it looks very bad no paint siding not cut evenly!

My home was NOT move in ready. Had a long list of imperfections or incompletions. Had to reach out to [name removed] to get any movement on repairs. Still waiting on my driveway crack to be repaired and my front pillars to be repaired. I have lived in this house over two months and it is the WORST decision I have ever made. My son is building in Native Plains and believe me I have tried to talk him out of building with Ideal homes. VERY disappointed. Your new motto should be "Quality of Quantity"

The build was riddled with issues. A lot of stuff that was picked ended up being unavailable. The house sat for weeks without work being done. A lot of mistakes were made with the purchase order and what was actually installed. At the walk through, there was a lot wrong or done sloppily. That all being said, everyone I worked with was decent and appreciative of my patience and kindness and did not try to take advantage of it, with the exception of the customer care manager. He was rude and condescending and told me I was being nitpicky. The rest of the customer care team I've dealt with was incredible, as was everyone from my rep to the builder to the closing department.

I liked the consistent/open communication with the builder. I didn’t like that things were pointed out and not fixed before move in. One thing I knew wasn’t going to be fixed prior to moving in because of the material shortage. Other things such as stain, paint both interior and exterior were not fixed after we pointed them out through the walk through. [name removed] also tapped things during the building process and the tape was removed but the problem wasn’t fixed. The completed product is not satisfactory.

Our Sales [name removed], [name removed] is beyond amazing! She’s been so helpful and genuine. [name removed], our builder is great! However, I have not had the best experience with our customer care rep. She had to rearrange our orientation right before a holiday weekend so that left no time for repairs to be made before we closed on our house. We also didn’t have a lot of repairs made because she failed to write all our requests down. We have a meeting this week to go over the stuff she didn’t write down. I’m hoping for a better resolution to these issues.
