We had an issue with our air conditioning system over the Memorial day weekend and because of the weekend told myself in might be next week before we see anyone. To my suprise a a/c service person pulled up and within a couple of hours had fixed our issue. This was way beyond my expectations and was very much appreciated too. We extremely dislike the flat paint used in our home, we have been here less than a year and it’s so dirty looking and really hard to clean. Otherwise we love our home.

I have had several issue with the home. One stool has been replaced, guest tub shower had to be reinforced flooring cut sheet rock to get to it, now repairing. Master tub cracked and had to repair long with recaulking. Fresh air duct filter was not installed for filter. Kitchen back splash caulking to cabinet top had to be redone. Currently garage side entry door leaking and is being repaired. Most of repairs have been completed others are scheduled. I’m just disappointed that builder did not catch all of these needed repairs at final inspection.

Disliked entry door lock action. Front and rear doors do not latch correctly when locked. Disliked routing of ground wire for hvac unit. It is unnecessarily long and wraps around the corner of the house. Dislike that all my survey comments are always ignored. None of these issues has been addressed. Dislike light fixture with stripped threads and cord exposed. Like the best house we have ever had. Too many things we like to list. Like being able to customize and add features.

Our experience for the most part has been wonderful. The one issue that I think is somewhat dishonest, is the guaranteed rate for electricity usage. We viewed the home on about 4 different occasions. We decided on the home that we were to purchase. During the showing period, the sales person touted a guaranteed rate on the electric bill. As a matter of fact, we were told on several occasions that if the bill was over $68 a month, we were to call, and Ideal Homes would cut us a check for the difference. This is a factor when you are deciding to purchase a home. We went through all of the processes of financing, selling our home, scheduling moving and a closing date. When we did our final walk through (which was great by the way), Ideal Homes backed off of that guarantee. It was a point of conversation and the explanation was, "well that is a salesperson for you. They are going to tell you what you want to hear". I just believe that transparency is extremely important in all walks of life and especially when you are making a life decision. I think that this is something that Ideal Homes should address with the salespeople. I would like for Ideal Homes to stand behind the word of their salesperson.

Customer service failed. Took 6 weeks to replace the front porch light. Placement of dining room light is not in the correct place. Refrigerator is next to a wall that comes out pass and door can't open all the way. Cheap cabinets! There is more.

All was good. [name removed] issues were water closet door paint chipped, detail cleaning, using wrong color paint for touch up. Overall attention to detail. For a homebuyer, you will never see all the issues on walk through “blue taping.” Overall a great house.

Quality of house is good but we believe that some simple and fairly inexpensive upgrades could've been done to amp up the expectations. For example, gutters all the way around the house, soft-close drawers/cabinets, and flooring.

My barren lot was exposed to torrential rain before the sod was laid. This allowed my grading to become less than perfect. My swale turned into a ravine as a result. My home was not provided with any toilet paper dispensers in the bathrooms. The porch fixture was not installed at the time of closing. It has since been installed so that was much appreciated. It should have been installed before I closed!
