The neighborhood is nice and friendly with decent parks. However we were originally under the impression the neighborhood had a fitness center and pool access for all residents. I wish communication throughout the process was more informative as we did not receive a pre-drywall walk through and were originally told once the driveway was laid closing would be 60-90 days out. However we were emailed the week of the driveway laid that closing would be 14 days from that point. Also, the sod was not water consistently. The home has been pleasant since the move in and we’re happy with majority of the house but those we some of the few issues we wish were communicated and addressed earlier.

My family has really enjoyed making our house a home for the first time in my military career. However, I was expecting a visit from someone at Ideal to discuss any issues with the home during the 60-day /6-month mark. No one has come to discuss the minor discrepancies, but I plan to call the warranty office to inquire about the respective items this week.

My builder was great , I had to make changes to my financing close to closing date and Ideal was helpful and professional. [name removed] and [name removed] are great. I am still missing two screens for my windows on the back patio. The screens that were placed are too small and they have yet to be replaced. The painting inside and out is not high quality.

Finishes are subpar to someone that actually pays attention. Baseboard is not tight against corners in several areas with there being as much as 1/4" open gaps from the edge of base to corner of the wall. Grouting has rubbed off from master bath shower in several areas which leaves me with concerns for potential water intrusion. It's taken me probably 7 coordination meetings with the QA/QC department to fix drywall, baseboard, and re paint it in my pantry with me always having to follow up on the next step. Overall, the house is pretty good and I am happy. However, as a commercial builder, i expected higher quality with regards to finishes.

Ideal Homes customer service has been very responsive to the minor issues we have encountered and I am pleased with the commitment to provide quality service. One of the dislikes is the hardware used in the interior doors, as they have begun to back out due to the small-sized screws used.

Communication was not the best initially until I made direct contact with my Superintendent. Coming from the construction industry myself, Ideal Homes in my opinion should always have the Superintendent touching base with the client. That being said, I took it upon myself to develop a great personal relationship with my Superintendent. [name removed] was extremely responsive and willing to work around my schedules and address any concerns I had.

The customer care team is great! They will come out when you call them. I have several things that I need to have them come out to look at and fix currently. There are some things wrong with the home that reflects the quality of the work. Also, I feel that some of the issues I’m having shouldn’t happen this soon in a new home.

I have had to call customer service out too many times. I wasn’t expecting to find a whole lot of flaws or need things repaired/replaced as I have had to in the last 11 months.

I have enjoyed the warranty fixes such as my sod, doors, backyard sink holes, and electric. However the length of time for these to finally get fixed was disappointing.

This is the 3rd Ideal [name removed] since 2014all purchased brand new. There is a definite change in the quality and workmanship within this house which is for below the standards of the previous two homes purchased in 2014 and 2015. Pricing much higher and quality nuch lower. Very dissppointed in this experience.

[name removed] part was meeting with [name removed]. [name removed] was great. She answered all our questions and kept in touch until she found us the perfect layout and neighborhood. She was very easy and pleasant to work with. We love [name removed]! She let us check the progress of our house anytime we wanted. During construction, felt like the workers didn’t give their best work. Everything felt rushed. Doors were uneven, a lot of holes in the garage walls, the fence was a joke, (they cut a tiny piece of fence to fit in a space in multiple places), cabinets catch onto each other, and our sod is dead..but yet able to grow immaculate weeds! Grout wasn’t cleaned off fully, we had to go back and clean it ourselves. Blue tape session was okay. They fixed up mostly everything. Still waiting on sod to be replaced. I think her name is [name removed]? She’s been unhelpful and seems like she’s done helping us after the blue tape session. Been trying to get updates about it but only thing was “as long as it’s raining they can’t do it”. That was almost a month ago. [name removed] has also been difficult to reach, and also seems unwilling to help. It’s seems like once the house is done, we no longer matter. Ideal doesn’t care about customer service or satisfaction (Besides [name removed], she’s great).

The overall quality was pretty good, but not as good as I expected or hoped from touring the model homes. For instance, the grout and tile from bathroom, floor, and kitchen were borderline sloppy and uneven in certain areas. Ideal definitely kept their warranty promises, but sometimes it took longer than expected.
