Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

Peachtree City, on May 10, 2022

I like my home, my builder [name removed] was great. The Hispanic worker who really are the backbone of the construction aspect of the house we’re very professional and had great knowledge of what they were doing. Now the landscaping people are the worst. I’ve owned 3 [name removed] homes ( PGA port [name removed] ) and I have never experienced the lack of concern with the quality of the material used in the landscaping. The drainage between the houses is atrocious and inefficient ( drainage issues which were addressed several times with warranty department and it was not fixed. I bought this home from [name removed] because I expected the same experience that I had with our homes at PGA Kolter in PSL Florida. We are here now and I think that we will have to take the repairs of the landscaping into our own hands. So be it

Everyone has gone above and beyond to make sure we are happy with our new home, from the sales agent ([name removed]) and especially to the builder, [name removed] (and his boss [name removed]). Very customer-service oriented, made sure all the T's were crossed and i's were dotted, and [name removed] continues to follow up to make sure items from our 60-day list are completed.

My owner's bathroom has been a thorn since before closing. It is not fair to place that in the warranty department. I am still missing the cap for the pony wall between the shower and tub with [name removed] refusing to provide since the shower glass has been installed. This is the same glass which was not correct prior to closing because the wall had to be reduced because of the tub not fitting. Additionally, I waited over 90 days to get my shower glass and yet the cap on the pony wall is too much for [name removed] to provide. I have been the one compromising through this entire owner's bath situation and see no focus on the customer from [name removed]. What I continue to get is more of an attitude that I should be thankful for the bath provided. The tub shower is an upgrade for which I paid, and I am not getting part of that upgrade nor particularly good customer service. This is one among many indicators that the focus is on meeting timeline and quota over customer service.

We have been pleased with the speed in which our sprinklers were taken care of. I called regarding 2 back sprinklers that were not working properly and within a few days the problem was taken care of and they even set our sprinklers on a schedule. The inside concerns (very few) were also taken care of within a reasonable time frame.

I had had seen other communities and read many reviews about different builders of the senior communities. Almost anything you read about any of them are not very positive but [name removed] exceeded any expectation I had. They were unbelievable. They don't walk away after closing, if you have anything little thing for the next year they are all over it. They specifically set up 3 appointments throughout the year to address issues but if you call about anything, they come check it out. I did observe that things that people from the earlier built houses that people didn't like, [name removed] changed. That to me is a good builder. They changed some things people in the earlier houses didn't like.

Negatives include the fact 1) that we were never advised of the nearby quarry and the resulting explosions that occur regularly. This is a material disclosure that was never made and not in accordance with real estate law. Disingenuous to say the least. 2) The berm for which I paid an extra 12k was a total eyesore and unkempt from the day we closed on 2/1/21 until, after repeated follow up on my part , it was addressed in October or November. Looks of talk but little action. 3.) I bought the lot when it was bladed and ready for sale. I had no idea that water run off would be facilitated via above the ground swales which turns 1/2 of my yard into a virtual river during moderate to heavy rains. 4. Garage is simply too small..even to serve its primary purpose: We have an SUV and a sports car and I must go through acrobatics to enter the cars. I am 78 and this is not an easy task. Positives: customer service does what they say and are friendly. Materials seem to be of good quality. We paid to have our home inspected before [name removed] did their one year assessment and the owner/technician of the firm stated that if he were going to buy a home in [name removed] [name removed], he would buy in [name removed] based on his 50+ evaluations done thus far.

We selected oil rubbed bronze as our fixtures choice for bathrooms and kitchen. When we moved in our master bath shower enclosure was black, not oil rubbed bronze. We had the design team come to our home to view it themselves, since they had NO sample in the design office. At the time [name removed] and [name removed] were the design team. They agreed that the shower enclosure looked Black not ORB. Next the installer's top man came to our house and told us the Shower enclosure was ORB not Black and said he would NOT replace the enclosure. He also stated that the design center had no examples of his shower enclosures on hand because the owner said he's worked with [name removed] for three years and has never submitted a sample to the design center. Who's fault is this? It is Kolters fault for not having samples of what we were buying to show us. We would have probably changed our fixture color to Black for the entire house. We spent a lot of money on this home and we will NEVER be pleased with our master bath. We will only be satisfied when the shower enclosure is replaced by [name removed]. [name removed] 601 533 Hazelnut Drive [name removed] [name removed] [name removed]. One of his employees came to our house to fix the shower door and told us that the company has switched all of its metal supply to a new company as of January of 2022. This still leaves us with a Black shower enclosure which ruin the look of our master bath. We are tired of hearing why [name removed] can't replace our shower enclosure with one that matches what we had selected. I'm tired of the run around and from [name removed] and the supplier.

My experience is not an exception. There should be more supervision during the building process. There are so many things that could be caught during that time, rather than have to fix things after the fact. There are some things you can't fix. Crooked trusses as an example. It is more cost effective to get the construction right the first time.

loved the location, size and build of my home, all those who work on the houses are very polite and accommodating. [name removed] the builder has been very helpful throughout the experience. The one drawback is a issue of a year free HOA fees we were promised and didn't recieve.

Poor quality of initial workmanship. Poor ascetic of unfinished berm common area. Constant follow up necessary to complete deficiencies. Like neighborhood. Staff is friendly.

The follow-up after closing with [name removed] and [name removed] was outstanding. The finish work like paint and baseboards, trim were not what I expect with expert construction.

The painters did not do a precise cut in job.

My experience is not an exception. There should be more supervision during the building process. There are so many things that could be caught during that time, rather than have to fix things after the fact. There are some things you can't fix. Crooked trusses as an example. It is more cost effective to get the construction right the first time.

I am very happy with the response to and any involved people with the minor problems in my home. I did have trees in my back installed for privacy from the HOA and one died. I have been informed that it is up to me to have it replaced-I am disappointed in that, but am enjoying my home very much! [name removed]
