Nothing I can really say I disliked it was a little rough because I had to do everything from another state with my daughter actually at the house by phone showing the house to me.[name removed] the builder was great and took care of all we asked and answered all our questions.agents took care of all paper work and worked with us on dates because we could not be down there ourselves due to my wife being handicapped from diabetes complications. All in all they were very helpful.

WATER VALVES IN BATHROOM SHOWER ARE INSTALLED IN REVERSE, MAGNETIC SEAL ON FRONT DOOR IS NOT FULLY IN CONTACT WITH DOOR.BEDROOM WINDOW WAS FOUND WITH CHIP IN GLASS, CONCRETE IN DRIVEWAY CRACKED STRAIGHT ACROSS.WATER PRESSURE NOT GOOD IN HOUSE AT ALL,PROBLEM AT BEGINNING AND NEVER REALLY FIXED EXAMPLE DON'T TRY TO SHOWER AND RUN WASHING MACHINE AT SAME TIME.

We wish we had brought our own realtor into the deal. We did not feel the realtor that represented both the builder and us truly represented us. She wasn’t even at closing. In fact, there were no familiar faces at closing, which was off-putting. We were impressed with the overall timeline, though we have seen quite a few evidences of projects being completed in haste or without much care. (Feel free to contact me about these problems we have not reported to home warranty.) We loved [name removed], our builder. He communicated with us directly while the house was being built, and he has continued to show care even after move-in.

Several corners cut. A number of things wrong. Basic craftsmanship is adequate. On the plus side, [name removed], the G.C. is absolutely awesome! Very kind and helpful even facing numerous deadlines. I have tried not to bother him lately with my issues. I understand I need to submit them in writing.

Newcastle has been responsive to issues we’ve had that need addressing, so we are satisfied in that regard. But some things, like chips in countertops or walls that aren’t quite square aren’t worth addressing.

They have been pretty good about the minor issues but are completely ignoring things like driveway and countertop issues. My house was off to begin with when it was not built square. There have been countless issues that have disregarded and hope will just go away. Very disappointed in New Castle. They've proven more than once that it's quantity over quality. There have been a couple of people that have been good work with. [name removed] has been very good at responding and providing updates when she can. [name removed] has been absolutely fantastic! Can't say enough good about him. I just want New Castle to fix the problems. I overpaid like most people over the past few years. All I ask is to have the problems addressed, placed or repaired to my satisfaction.

I have had nothing but issues since moving in. Things like painting certain areas were not done after the first and second walk through. [name removed] driveway needed to be repoured. It was not originally we had to ask again. Where the garage connects to the porch was not sealed well and had to be sealed. Garage door had to be fixed. Front door paint was chipping from day one it looks like they just put one coat of paint. They touched it up but still chipping Two warped cabinets had to be replaced in the kitchen. My air conditioner keeps dying on me they have only sent someone out once to look at it. Workers ruined the quartz on my island by putting their fast food cups on it and water stains firmed that cannot be fixed They refuse to replace the quartz on my island or even discount the cost My guest shower has a leak. I called when I found standing water on the floor [name removed] came the next day and looked at it and said there was no leak. By the next week I had water damage in the bathroom the hallways from the laundry room to the front entrance I’ve had dehumidifiers fans and an air scrubber running for five days straight. [name removed] hardwoods baseboards sheet rock etc needto be replaced. I have had chipped tile in my master bath [name removed] front of the dishwasher had to be replaced bc it had three dents in it [name removed] grout in my master shower is missing in some areas and one of my tiles has a blue mark on it- not art if the marble pattern. It has been one nightmare after another. I am very disappointed in how the quartz issue was handled. Even the quartz guy said he would see the workers leave their cups for days on my counter. I am also upset about the AC unit At least they have now gotten on top of the water leak and fixed the leak we will see how repairs go. Also my fence had two separate issues as well.

Likes: home is beautiful, builders are usually easy to reach Dislikes: lack of upgrade options and felt misled about structural upgrades, lot is too small, landscaping was awful and have issues with how property lines were determined and how the home was positioned, driveway was not large enough and it’s impossible to turn into garage from driveway

Everything was handled very efficiently. I really liked that [name removed] sent me an email update weekly along with a picture. She was always quick to respond to any questions. [name removed] design appointment was great! Designer was so helpful inn making all the choices. ALL of the meetings with [name removed] from framing to final walk through were great. He always listened and answered all my questions.

1. Quality of the house is really bad 2. The way you handed over the house is pathetic. There is a 40 lbs of construction waste in the basement I took care of. It was not cleaned at all. Garage was also really bad. Heater gas connection was not given and after repeated compliants for 2 months you guys fixed it. Weather proof was not done well. I see a lot of bugs in the basement and living area. Also huge fluctuation of temperature in the bedrooms and living area. Garage is flooded with rain water. Landscaping of the backyard is not done well and every small rain makes a small pond around there. 3. Warranty issues are not being taken care well. I have to follow-up for several time before we get to a a closure. 4. I just got an email saying my warranty is completed even thought it is only 10 months.

I am disheartened that a retaining wall was not placed on the right side of my property. However, my overall experience was great.

Every person i have been in contact with from the beginning has been knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. One of my only issues is the bathroom vanities in the main bath, while they r lovely, they have small drawers and doors, hard to utilize for storage.

The only thing I would change is the design experience. Although I love our house, I don't think you walk in and think, this is custom home. [name removed] was great, and for not a completely custom home I understand it. There were a few things I wanted to do that weren't "options." I expected to be able to find special lighting or work with design to do a more customized fireplace, etc. Overall it was an amazing experience. I think both [name removed], your realtor, and [name removed], our contractor, need RAISES!! They blew us a way with how personable and hospitable they were. They found a way to say yes on as many occasions as they could and treated us like we were the only house being built.

my home had many defects when i moved in such as damaged quartz island that they couldn’t repair and would not replace my dishwasher had three dents the front door needed touch up paint my front door glass payne was defective my ac went out twice in a few weeks. there is more but there was a leak in the guest bathroom that ruined walls and hardwood floors. It was not fixed to my satisfaction - very shoddy work it took forever to get the house put back together right and the attitude of everyone was horrible

Inconsistencies in communication and follow through. Walk through wasn't sufficient enough to highlight everything I need to notice. It's been 1 month and it is hard to connect with anyone. [name removed] is the only consistent one that answers. Everyone else now that purchase is over is done with it. There are alot of things around the house that I wouldn't expect for a house that cost almost half million dollars. Including landscaping. I an trying to be patient however I am disappointed

[name removed] enough agreeable conversation. I went into building this home all by myself. I tried very hard to stay on top of everything that was gonna on. I know I aggravated a few people but I definitely was right on some of the complaints I had. I’ve been in my new home 3 weeks now and still waiting on a few things that needs to be addressed. I have spoke to the builder and I understand that lots of things are backed up because of Covid but I’m sure everything will get finished as I expect. I am loving my home and neighborhood and just hope all issues that we’ve addressed will be taken care of. I hope I have many years here. Thanks so much, God bless, [name removed]

We were originally going to purchase in Griffin Park and were a few weeks from having our financial situation sorted out which we worked on every single day for months. Eventually, we were told on New Years [name removed] that our home was no longer ours. We were given 72 hours to sort it out, but being a holiday, we couldn’t get in touch with our mortgage broker. I felt like there was some flexibility given by NewCastle, but our situation wasn’t taken seriously and no one really took the time to see the bigger picture. Outside of that, we were able to close on this home in 45 days and we’re somewhat happy. Still wish we had our home in GP that we built and worked for.

It takes multiple attempts and follow up with warranty through email so this would be our only complaint.

Absolutely awful customer service. It's like pulling teeth to get something fix. Many times there's little to no response to emails. I've had to send 4-5 emails on a single issue before getting any sort of response.
