There were a couple of things that I really wanted and would have love to have in this home and one of those things was a hood over the range versus the microwave. I never use the cabinet above it and the handle gets really hot when cooking. Wasted cabinet space. I really wanted a farm sink in the kitchen and a stand alone tube in the master bath. It definitely would have given the bathroom more room and space. I was told I could not have any of these things because other items had already been purchased.

I dislike that the wall seem to have no insulation as I can hear everything through out the entire home. The fire place makes a loud noise after cooling off. This is very off putting for a new home at this price. Some minor issues that have yet to be address still exist.

The house did not move too much in the last year in comparison to the new home we had 7 years ago. New Castle is always responding to our needs in a timely manner. I do like the slab of the kitchen, however, the gas stove can be improved because when the oven is working the small gas burner on the top left cannot be used.

We had some issues with an area of the home not being heated properly. It took several visits from the HVAC company to figure it out but [name removed] with New Castle stayed on it and got the problem solved. We really appreciated that he believed us and got to the bottom of the issue.

Everything was handled extremely professional, smooth process, great communication throughout. We have spoken to several neighbors and discovered things that were done for them at no charge or added that we paid for and that was a little disappointing.

The overall house is well-built. The isolation is sound. The appliances are of good quality. They respond to our request quite fast after contacting them about problems. The finishes of the house could be of better quality.

Every time I've needed something, it has been addressed immediately. [name removed] even went over and beyond once to try to jump my battery. [name removed] listens and is expedient with my requests. I cannot complain. I understand things can happen in a home and all of us are human, including subs and the company, so I approach things with respect and receive it back each time.

Real estate and construction staff have been very good to work with. Have been disappointed with the quality of paint and being unaware that baseboards are a composite material rather than wood, thus difficult to repair if they are damaged.

Real estate reps and construction reps have responded very quickly whenever we reach out to them with questions. Very helpful and considerate. Have not needed warranty service yet.

NewCastle homes made a lot of promises that they were slow in keeping. The first walk through was too fast and not formative. I have a few things not need to be addressed that I will send in in the 27 of August. That will be one month occupancy.

The house is great. The only problem we have is with the paint. It’s cheap and we would have paid extra had someone told us you guys were going to use this paint.

I had a smoke alarm that started going off in my garage so I called [name removed] and she told me she turned the order in for someone to come check it out. Two weeks go by and I called again and still nobody contacted me. I honestly didn't know whether this was even covered or not but was never told it wasn't. Two more weeks go by and I left a message with [name removed] and no call back after that. I think she just got tired of being told like me that someone would be by to check it out. I even ran into the guy with the black beard that oversees the contractors outside the house and asked him if he or someone else could come check my smoke alarm and told him it had been going off now for 5 weeks and he told me he would stop by my house in 5 minutes and he never showed up. All he had to do is either tell me it wasn't covered under warranty or he was too busy at the time, but he had no intention doing anything. I would have given you guys all # 10's had it not been for this. I ended up calling "On time Service" Company and it ended up being a 9-Volt battery. Instead, I had to listen to a smoke alarm go off for 5 weeks. I wanted to clarify that [name removed] has gone out of her way to be nice and done everything she told me she would. You guys are lucky to have her as an employee. She's one of the nicest people I've ever talked to. Outdoor water faucet: This last weekend I had 22 plants installed on both sides of my house and I was told that I had a waster faucet on the side of my house that couldn't be used due to the fact that it is installed wrong. You can't screw a hose on it because of the location of where it is. So I'm curious as to how much trouble that will be to get fixed. I want to say one more time that you would have received all 10's from me had it not been for the Smoke Alarm. Listening to that go off for 5 weeks was not very pleasant.

I have had several problems with my sprinkler system and I have never had anyone contact me about any of them after contacting several people. I have had to spend over $360.00 getting my sprinkler heads replaced after your contractors messed them up pouring concreate on them next door.

The entrance to our driveway was too narrow and we paid concrete company to widen it on both sides. Homes in our neighborhood started after we moved into our home have driveways that have been widened compared to how ours was built. I believe Newcastle should have done the concrete for us at no charge since it is obvious they recognized the problem and.corrected it for the newer homes.

The agents began the process and were super nice. All went well until we hit a brick wall awaiting windows. Everything began going south at that point. Having to have a conversation with the president of the company should not have been necessary. Maybe if the on-site builder didn’t think he was “too busy “ to speak with me it won’t have been necessary. I think that [name removed] needs to work on his social skills. I equate my home buying process at this location with buying a car. As I was looking, the crew was exceptional. Once the contract was signed, I guess the need to continue to please me wasn’t necessary.

I like the service of the contractors to correct the problems we have encountered with our home , I'm guessing since it was one of the first homes built here in Unali it might have had some start out pains. But overall we love our home and the design

We really appreciated [name removed] being therefor us every step of the way. If she didn't know the answer, she got right back with us when she found out. The guy that did the first walk thru with us, I think his name was [name removed] or [name removed], he was very, very nice and thorough. He wanted to make sure that we were buying a house that we were happy with and not just settling for. Now, the final walk thru was with another man, [name removed] or something like that, he was the opposite and anything we pointed out that was marked during the initial walk thru was still messed up and he just shrugged his shoulders and said that's not doable. [name removed] was right there with him, which shocked us both.

I liked that when we signed the contract, the price was final. Communication was good throughout the process. Negative- the ground here is clay and rock- I don't believe any top soil was added before sodding. It's not looking good in spots. The house wasn't wired correctly for spectrum to install internet and after another visit from a technician, I'm still not sure it is correct.

I appreciated being updated on the building process. The builders and agents were friendly and welcoming when we encountered them when stopping by the house in progress. Any issues we brought to their attention were addressed or are in the process of being taken care of. It has been a very good experience and we would certainly recommend Newcastle to others.
