Everyone was very nice to work with and overall our experience was great. There are some little things here and there quality-wise that could be better - the paint for example. It seems like they did one coat of paint. You barely touch it and it scratches off.

Commitments not met that ended up costing me a lot of money. [name removed] lighting was cheep and the upgrade packages were not what I liked. [name removed] enough crown molding for the cost of the house. No crown molding around the windows.

When [name removed] took over as superintendent, things were so much better. His commitment to make things right and do it the right was was very much appreciated. [name removed] did a great job in the design phase and helped us several times. [name removed] was always helpful and friendly. She always worked to get the answers we needed, if she didn't already know them.

[name removed] overall quality of the contractors who were hired to build our home and the lack of New Castle trying to correct the problem. Even when corrected we get excuses of stating that it is settling issues when clearly those are not the issues. Looking at the bad quality of the work, daily, that was done is disgusting! Hopefully this repairs that should have been completed before we moved in will get done when We send our list over.

When purchasing a home you look for it to be a home often times as a forever home. We all know that there will be some problems with a home but, what we have and still are experiencing with the way our home was built, mainly by the contractors that were hired is terrible. We do love our home but absolutely DO NOT agree on the sloppy work that was done.

We were very disappointed with the time work and the response we we asked to have it done correctly. We were also disappointed with the trim work around most the doors. Very inconsistent and used caulk to make it look correct. Water collects and pools up beside the foundation. Lot was graded poorly in certain spots. Under sink in half bathroom was fixed when poor workmanship was discovered but it still looks mediocre at best. Poor quality of paint used inside. It’s so bad Newcastle employees told us we would have to repaint not to long after moving in. To me that is a negative reflection on Newcastle. Those are a few of the issues. We also had a very negative experience on our walkthrough with all the can’t do and won’t do responses on the items we asked to be repaired or corrected.

Communication via email has been good. She’s been responsive - however, nothing ever gets done. I’ve been waiting to hear from the PM (on the ONLY claim I’ve made) now for almost 2 months. Very frustrating

[name removed] day I moved in nothing on the punchlist was completed. I moved in May 15 is now July 7 and there are things on the punchlist still not completed. Everything from the lowest quality paint used throughout the house to rough edge boards used for the molding around doors instead of sanding the edges you can see the jagged edges. All in all it was a cheaply and quickly built home. Experience was absolutely horrendous and I will spread the word to anyone who will listen about how terrible this company is in my experience was.

Laid my sod on gravel and rocks and won’t replace it. Only developed part of my lot and left the rest for trash and looks awful. Put flat paint in a 300,000 dollar home which is what they use in college apartments. Customer service is basically non existent.

Very disappointed. Continuously have to ask for things to get done and even then it may or may not happen depending on Newcastle’s opinion. Even now as I fill out this survey, I’ve been waiting on an email reply from warranty on things for the 11 month evaluation. No response as of yet. This has been the theme of my 1st year in the home.

Zero communication, our windows were left uncovered for 6 weeks so since everything was wet it had to be torn out and replaced which pushed our closing date farther and cost me a ton of money in apartment rent and interest rate hikes. My yard is unusable because of all the water that just sits in it causing mold and lots of mud. When they planted the beautiful green sod they set the sprinkler to water 5 min a day on Tuesday and Thursday in the middle of a 3 week drought, therefore killing it all in 3 days My kids can't play in the yard because of it. This is our 3rd home to build and by far the worst experience. I need the yard to be graded and new sod put down.

I have had several issues, some simple and a couple major, that have taken a long time to address. Some still haven't been corrected. I have a major drainage issue in my back yard that just doesn't seem to be a priority to anyone at Newcastle.

[name removed] is beautiful and people were attentive/helpful throughout the process. During the build, its was a mess. There are cosmetic issues that could’ve been avoided had they been more careful. (Ie splatter at base of bathroom cabinets, painting a lot the side of fireplace). None of that has been fixed yet (it’s been 2.5 months since move in). My biggest complaint is that flat paint was used on the interior. That was not agreed upon, and these homes cost way too much for flat paint to be used. You can simple touch the walls at a mark will be left. I have a huge problem with this. Again, why build 300 - $400k homes with cheap paint? We didn’t realize until after the inspection once we began moving in.
