Warranty service and customer care is very good. All wooden works are very very very poor quality. All wooden doors, cabinets, wood related things very bad quality

[name removed], our construction manager, went above and beyond for us as first-time home buyers. During the pre-closing orientation, he was incredibly thorough and patient, walking us through every detail of our new home. We truly appreciated how he took the time to explain each feature and offered valuable tips on maintaining them. His dedication made the whole experience both enjoyable and reassuring. Additionally, [name removed], our sales representative, worked seamlessly with my agent. Her professionalism, warmth, and welcoming demeanor made the entire process smooth and stress-free. She kept us informed every step of the way, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout. We are truly grateful for such a positive home-purchasing experience. As first-time home buyers, it is a meaningful milestone in our lives, making a big step forward. From being a student lived in an apartment's living room, to becoming a husband, to becoming parents, and now to be homeowners as a family.

Overall, it's been a hassle-free and pleasant experience dealing with their warranty service/customer care team.

The purchase process was just fine and the Normandy staff are real nice including [name removed] and [name removed]. They are accessible and personal to work with. My wife and I enjoyed working with both of them. [name removed] has been real great since our move in and very helpful on teaching us more about the features of the appliances and etc. My reduced overall rating has to do with the features in the home as there are very few cabinet storage spaces in the home. I am sure all of that added storage would be an upgrade. We bought a spec home and we were not able to make any changes to the build so we got what was there on the spec sheet. There are no bathroom cabinets and very little other storage cabinets throughout the house. The master bath sink cabinets have such small drawers its impossible to put hardly anything in the drawers but a tooth brush and tooth paste. The odd side drawers also preclude you from putting any small baskets or bins in any of the drawers. The master bath has no cabinet storage space except for the part under the sink, which is quite small. The only solution is to spend more money to install cabinets in the toilet area for some actual storage in the all of the bathrooms. The kitchen cabinets are not deep at all and it is hard to get much of the cooking pans and etc in the upper cabinets. We filled up these cabinets very quickly and there is little room to put out array of pots and pans. I believe that this can be done so much better as you have all the space you need to build large cabinets but that is not what we got. I figure that the reduced amount of wood material to make the cabinets probably saved Normandy Homes a few hundred dollars. Enjoy the money as we deal with the cabinet folks to pay for cabinets in every bathroom and seek out additional storage solutions for our personal items.

The warranty service is good but could be done better
Celina, TX, on Oct 21, 2024
Liked support from Salesperson, [name removed]. She was really helpful and assisted us in her full capacity. Liked floor plan and high ceilings Liked having separate air conditioning, heating for each floor Disliked: Design center options especially with flooring need to be improved a lot. We also felt we had to rush thru some design selections and LVP options were limited and the one which we selected initially were not available and had to go with our second choice. Disliked construction quality of external concrete driveway, exterior finish at the concrete slab. There were lot of imperfections with concrete work in driveway, garage and gaps between concrete slab and brick which builder says it is cosmetic and cannot be further worked on LVP floor at time of move in had lot of stains and it was not cleaned properly to get rid of paint stains Concrete driveway had lot of stains Garage floor has some holes

[name removed] is very good in giving the service and is always helpful to give best solution to my concerns, really appreciate all his efforts

Our Relationship Manager, [name removed], was really awesome in guiding us through every step of the way. There were NO SURPRISES in any of the steps. She also kept the communication flowing all through and was very clear and direct in her responses - leaving no room for any confusion. We had a similar experience with our construction manager, [name removed]. Both of them were excellent. If there is one thing we can change, then that would be the design center interaction. Our recommendation would be to have our relationship manager participate alongside with us during the process. We did not feel we had all the information prior to the session and also felt a bit overwhelmed when faced with the number of decisions we had to make in a short span of time. If we had an experienced hand like [name removed] in that session as our advocate, those sessions would have been much more positive and we would not have received any surprises in the aftermath. [name removed] would have helped us tie things together in a much better way.

I like the complete purchase experience from end to end. We from Boston never visited the place but [name removed] (Sales) and [name removed] (Builder) are awesome providing us timely updates. They were always there when we had a question and always ready to provide their best in service and quality. The quality of the home is top-notch and we got what has been promised. We are delighted in choosing Normandy. [name removed] especially went through the quality check and he himself fixed many things which we didn't noticed. At some point we didn't care to identify the issues as we believed [name removed] is proactively fixing them. [name removed] is so nice and always there for us answering all of our questions patiently and always adjusting to our schedules

Firstly about pre-approval - I got pre-approval last year and after that we paid earnest amount and proceeded with our new home construction. Secondly, in the month of July -2024 BHOME mortgage disagree to approve our home loan due to the unavailability local tax returns and W2. During the pre-approval time it was clear to Normandy sales team as well as BHOME that I am working overseas in Saudi Arabia and doesn't have US tax returns and W2 to purchase new home. Moreover all the documents prior to pre-approval was submitted from my overseas employer (Saudi Arabia) and your team from Normandy and BHOME communicated to my HR team about my employment and various other details from my company. Thirdly, In July just 15 or 20 days before the closing your sales team and BHOME mortgage communicated about the loan rejection. Fourthly, Normandy sales team further advised us to go with TWO other mortgage companies and all efforts vent in vain leading to lots of hassles and chaos. Moreover Normandy sales team was emphasizing more on closing and giving us the warning that if remaining amount not paid timely then earnest money will not be returned. We are not at fault in any case. Fifth, it was communicated to Normandy homes sales team about the realtor information based on their feedback that Normandy homes is not going to proceed further unless we furnish the details of realtor. However during the signing of contractor your sales coordinator Ms. [name removed] informed us that she will take care of the realtor details later us to expedite the process and even after sending the realtor details she didn’t incorporate it in our contractor leading to lots of hassles and paying huge amount out from our pocket. Lastly, Normandy higher management contacted us in this regards and when we explained the whole situation they instead taking it politely started blaming us and the whole debate with president of the company was not acceptable. We feel that Normandy homes doesn’t respect customer. ‘No customer satisfaction”.

I liked the quality of construction and it was worth spending in all aspects! Nothing much on dislike part!

The best thing about our experience has been the people - [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] etc. Everyone was communicative and understanding and PATIENT which was highly appreciated since this was our first new build experience. The only thing we were slightly unhappy with is the timeline for choosing our build options - I think buyers should be allowed a final say on design options after everything else has been chosen and before building begins because we were left with room in our budget to upgrade or add certain things that we compromised on in the early design process because we were unsure where our final price would end up, we missed out on some things that we are now hoping to change in a few years but that could have been avoided if we had a final sign off on choices when everything was said and done.

The communication and support from the community agent and builder ways very helpful. Their support led to the timely closing of my house.
Celina, TX, on Apr 30, 2024
i'm honestly not happy with quality of the construction.
Celina, TX, on Mar 07, 2024
Build and quality was great. Our dissatisfaction grew from the manner in which a discrepancy of materials was handled. From the design show room to install of a specific tile, there was a visual difference from what we had ordered and while we were given lip service, there was no attempt to physically change the issue to what we had originally wanted. We were told that the lighting might change the situation, but that was it and that is not an accurate way to solve the issue we were experiencing. We were told flatly that we were contractually obliged to followthrough with the selections that were made, no matter how flawed the process. The rigidity that was demonstrated by the Normandy sales team is the main reason we would not recommend the build of a home to a friend or family.
Celina, TX, on Mar 04, 2024
Few lights which were included in contract where not added. This should have been caught by builder
Celina, TX, on Dec 14, 2023
Mine is inventory home with no changes. That’s fine. What I felt little awkward is when listed items are not available in the market due to some reason then owner should be given an option in selecting the new item. They’ve give change to select the bath 1 tile but was not given chance for Pendent Lights and Light chandelier. Other than that everything else was great with [name removed]. He’s awesome.

I had excellent experience with community sales manager "[name removed]", she is very professional, friendly, gives quick response. But other sales manager "[name removed]" is horrible. I just had interreacted with him twice and He was very rude. I checked with other people in the community, and they had same experience. Construction Manager "[name removed] [name removed]" is an excellent guy too. We had a very positive experience with him. Coming to the home, i liked for most of the part, but there are some minor imperfections, which i didn't expected from a premium builder like Normandy homes. Warranty manager "[name removed] vandersys" is a nice guy, but he try to push back most of the issues i have in my home. Issues like water leak from sinks should have been taken care by Normandy, but he says it's very common and needs to be taken care by myself. These are minor things that will have a negative impression on the builder. Garage has cracks on the wood and when i raised a ticket to fix it, [name removed] said that they can't do anything with that, and he said he will paint it at 10th month and that's the best he can do. They didn't had baseboard in the garage and it looks incomplete. We are not happy with the flooring too. Had multiple issues with flooring. Study room door was slightly chipped off at the bottom while we are using swiffer to mop the floor. I wonder how cheap those doors are. These are the minor things that won't cost much to the builder, but will make the home looks better and makes the buyer happy to refer other people.
