When I started for search Normandy offered me 2 incentives 1 25k on design options 2 12k on the closing costs if we go with their lender . The closing incentive is more like a scam or cheating way to not give that money. The lender whom they assigned never approached us or communicated properly. After sending multiple mails he used to respond . He added 12k as originator costs which covers that 12k incentive Normandy offered. When I checked with any other lender in the market no one is charging that originator costs. So it’s more like scam which Normandy did . They not given any option to go with other lender than their chosen one . So eventually they taken 12k back.

Full disclosure: I understand that not everything in construction will go 100% according to plan. However, my experience during the construction and final walkthrough stages has been deeply disappointing — especially given that I moved from out of state, trusted Normandy’s quality and finesse, and purchased a premium property (~$1M). Final walkthrough concerns: Scheduled at 8:00 AM on closing day (closing at 9:00 AM), leaving no time for thorough inspection. Home was dirty, with paint blotches on the floor and uncleaned windows. I was told, “This is totally acceptable on a closing day.” Poor paint job on kitchen cabinets — even defects marked with blue tape were ignored. A full sheet of wood in the refrigerator area remains unsecured. Sink installed without proper gradient, causing overflow water to flow away from the sink; dismissed as “industry norms.” Painting throughout the house was subpar — numerous blotches, and window frames with visible lines and curves. Again, I was told this was “industry norms.” Interaction issues: My construction manager has repeatedly given contentious or dismissive responses. I felt pressured to proceed with closing despite visible and unresolved issues. Expectation vs. reality: “Industry norms” is not the standard I expected for a premium property. If I wanted industry norms, any builder could deliver that. [name removed] was about expecting better — craftsmanship and attention to detail that stands apart, not work that simply meets the lowest acceptable bar. Referral impact: I referred a friend to Normandy with the same trust and faith I once had, and they are closing soon. I sincerely hope they are not subjected to the same experience I’ve had. Even though I have other potential referrals, I am unsure if it would be honest to recommend Normandy until I feel confident that my own concerns have been addressed and the experience reflects the brand’s promise. What I want Normandy leadership to know: I want accountability, respectful communication, and timely resolution of these items. My hope is that my warranty experience will reflect the quality and customer care that Normandy promotes — and that future customers, including my referrals, are treated better than I have been.

Dislike - Could not change some of the selections made in the design center Like - Open and clear line of communication

Liked, the attention and follow-up / support provided. Disliked limited flexibility on models offered, but I understand it is by design.

We really appreciated the clear communication throughout the entire process. As first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions, and the team was always patient and thorough in their responses. The weekly updates were especially helpful in keeping us informed and feeling confident along the way. One suggestion would be to consider splitting up the home walkthrough or offering follow-up sessions. There’s a lot of important information shared in that one meeting, and it can feel a bit overwhelming to take everything in at once.
