Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers
Irving, TX, on Mar 04, 2023
The house was listed in $900,000s. However, it is equipped like $500,000-$600,000 house. Plastic dishwasher, single stage AC machines, cabinets without adjustable shelves, bedrooms without privacy locks are simple examples of how Normandy cheaped out while making $ 100,000s in profit.
Irving, on Jul 11, 2023
I liked promptness in supporting when we open a warranty request.
Irving, on Mar 20, 2024
Material quality is questionable, lots of things installed are seconds and not new. Bathtub is repaired before install, knobs has unfinushed spots, toilet sheet has black fots imperfections. Quality of work also not as the name. Bath tiles are not at dame level, things are out of place.
Irving, on Dec 01, 2022
The home delivery was rushed as it was the end of the month and somehow it was my fault that it was the month end! We expect different thing from a home that is over 800k. Home finishing is no good. Even though we don't live in the home, things have started to break like garage door not opening, sprinkler not working, main door not closing and back door which cannot be locked. HAVE NO COMPLAINTS FROM THE WARRANTY / CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are very good.
Irving, TX, on Jan 17, 2023
Less communication and no interaction with construction manager

Poor paint and wall texture Job. The yard grading is poor, lot's of low and high areas; very uneven lawn. Overall build quality is poor and poor workmanship.
Irving, TX, on Oct 31, 2022
employees both misty and scott are committed employees. Dislike , home quality is not the premium standards for the price normandy is selling for.

Like: Construction manager, [name removed] was so helpful in tracking the pending items and completing it.He was always available to make sure that our concerns are addressed. He indeed provided all the required info on the house that I need to know. [name removed] never missed my calls or emails whenever I enquired about the construction and other related process, she was always on top of things keeping us posted on "whats current and next". Dislike: It was so stressful to make sure my loan process falling in line with the construction proceedings, as there was no sure dates of completion of each stage (especially for the appraisal) due to the undeterminable construction process (though I could understand) cause according to the contract terms I must close the loan process by Normandy's defined deadline. I can't explain how stressful it was. But still, at the end of the day, thro God's grace and mercy, everything went fine at the end, for us to enter into our dream home. We heartly thank Normandy for this beautiful haven ??

Everything was satisfactory but, the delay in repairing and completing the issues took way too much time.
Irving, on Dec 09, 2023
Bad leveling,, plastic dishwasher and budget appliances, single stage HVAC in a house listed for $900K.
Irving, TX, on Jun 28, 2022
What i liked was that the house had many good features but there were many items that were omitted during construction which could have been easily included , like Fire Place, larger Pantry& more counterspace in kitchen. It would have been much better if the owner was atleast asked for these options and the owner would have paid for it. Also lot of things were ommitted which usually come standard, for instance, garage door opener pad , door knobs w/ locks in all bedrooms. Plugs& Switches in some parts of the house where they would have been conveniently usable, undermount lights in kitchen under counters. Mostly these items are minor, but are an added necessity and make home more livable.
Irving, on Jul 24, 2022
The issues identified before move-in has not been addressed. Very slow response from Normandy Homes. I have no ETA on when these will be fixed

Scotts the supervisors professional transperent walk through i liked.
Irving, TX, on Jun 14, 2022
Like: 1. Once given a chance to buy all available lots were given to us as an option. 2. Prompt response from [name removed] and [name removed]. Dislike: 1. We did not like the selection process to email at exactly 10:00 AM. We were communicating with [name removed] for quite sometime however as told to us our email reached milliseconds late than few others so other buyers were given chance before us despite us showing interest before them. This had a huge impact on price. 2. Frequent Construction manager changes - We started with [name removed], he resigned so [name removed] did the First Builder Meet. Then [name removed] took over for the worst, horrible times dealing with him. He left for good and then [name removed] took over and finally [name removed] before closing. 3. Design Center - misguided us, lot of options were not provided to us like stained cabinets. On top of that an old design center booklet was sent us which did not have all the available options for us to do the homework. 4. Radiant Barrier Missing in our home - We were asked to sign an addendum as Radiant barrier were not in stock at that time, we never wanted to sign as it's an important part for the energy efficiency of the home however we were left with no choice but to sign due to continuous follow ups. When the time came to install the Radiant Barrier they were back in the market in abundance. In-fact Normandy homes installed it in homes which were at the same stage as ours despite their owners also signing the addendum. I know you are production builder and work on a pre-ordered pipeline but only if some additional efforts were made by the contruction manager/Normandy this could have been handeled. 5. Poor HVAC pipe planning. Bedroom 4 Closet space reduced as HVAC guys took a pipe from there which resulted in loss of home owners area. 6. SHower Seat - We paid for a shower seat in the master bathroom after looking at the one in the model house. However we were not provided what we paid for. 7. Retaining wall issue - Area near retaining wall always remains damp, [name removed] is aware of the issue and needs to be fixed for good. 8. Items pending from exception list even after 1 month from closing. Looks like [name removed] tries his best however things move at a very slow pace.

Irving, TX, on Apr 29, 2022
Every step, we had challenges with sales agent and also with the construction manager. We had to do multiple follow ups to get answers on every step. This is our 3rd home we built but never had this much bad experience while building a home.
Irving, on Jun 12, 2021
Horrible pre-post close warranty/service experience. There are items from my pre closure that have still not been addressed. For the new ones opened its been over a month and yet no one has come to fix the issues, including a leak from the roof.
Irving, TX, on Apr 01, 2022
The expected timeframe to complete the home was met . Builder and [name removed] Manager are very cooperative and listens to all of our concerns . No additional options to make any changes in the existing design was little disappointing. Overall very satisfied with the home .
Irving, on Mar 27, 2021
Experience with [name removed] is real bad. He responds to the mails very late and quality of service is not expected on timely manner. He is not a good listener to know the problems.
Irving, TX, on Mar 04, 2022
I am very disappointed with my experience with the communications, my building manager ([name removed]) was never available to answer any questions regarding construction. There were number of issues that were identified during construction and before closing. During orientation we made list of items that needs to be fixed and some of the items were merely fixed so that closing will not be effected (back sliding door was not locking and its was adjusted to lock with a gap that can be visually seen). [name removed] committed to fix the issues with in 6 days after final walk through, and I am still waiting them to be fixed after more than a month after closing.
Irving, on Jan 08, 2021
Very responsive. [name removed] is easily accessible and listens to concerns. Had few hiccups towards closing, but [name removed] made sure to take care of everything. His expertise and experience helped.
Irving, TX, on Feb 18, 2022
I like the quality of the house and commitment shown by Normandy team(and Builder). Continuous updates have been provided by Normandy team during the construction of the house. Kudos to [name removed] and [name removed] for being Awesome and courteous with us. I certainly would recommend Normandy homes to my friends. Please keep doing the great work. I am very happy and satisfied after moving into the house.
Irving, on Jan 02, 2021
No warranty service request has been fixed in the last 5 months. such a poor quality service. Best advise to Normandy please close your business you are not capable to build homes
Irving, TX, on Feb 03, 2022
The purchase experience was good. I like the fact that I was given weekly updates through the construction. I would have liked the house to be more complete at the closing stage. I deliberately moved in 2 weeks after closing to give you some time to take care of the pending items but most of those items were still not taken care of and some are still pending. The biggest one being the kitchen cabinet hardware.
Irving, TX, on Jan 11, 2022
Plan of the home is outdated and not suitable for the lot. 13 months to build the home bit longer than expected. The whole contract seem to be one sided, favorable to the builder. The whole experience is bit frustrating as a new home buyer.
Irving, TX, on Jan 02, 2022
According to the contract house was supposed to be delivered to us in May 2021, instead house was delivered to us with lots of exceptions (pending works) in Nov 2021. It’s been more than a month after we moved in as of now, the pending works are not yet completed. Still, we are not able to use the Bathroom2 and fireplace tile work is incomplete. House was delivered to us without final cleaning, and we were told that they would send someone to clean the house in couple of days and no one turned up till now. During the construction process also, there were lot of things which were missed, and wrong selections were installed, which delayed the overall delivery. Ex: Plumbing work, Light fixtures, bad quality of fireplace cedar, broken glass windows and missing items like soap dispenser, toilet paper holders etc. House was not ready for Orientation either, and we were not provided enough time for the orientation too as construction manager had another appointment and he rushed us through the process. I am sorry to say the overall experience was not good.
Irving, TX, on Sep 29, 2021
There was significant delay in delivering the home. The landscaping is not is acceptable condition even after moving in for a month. There are uneven walls inside the house. [name removed] has nails popping out. The kitchen range hood's brand is not Whirlpool. The thermostat in the master bedroom does not connect to wi-fi. I am worried about all these defects.
Irving, TX, on Jun 01, 2021
The purchase process was smooth and [name removed] (builder representative) was very welcoming.
Irving, TX, on Dec 23, 2020
I like Quality of the material and builder never rush for work. Home building took little higher time than regular due to covid. Some times material got delayed due to Covid Pandemic. But I can understand this situation. [name removed] and [name removed] helped me on every step. Thanks to them.
Irving, TX, on Dec 18, 2020
On the Contract Day: [name removed] Person ([name removed]) showed me her manager email with bed and bath 5 price marked as $8950/-. I went ahead and signed the contract based on the information provided. Around a month later I received addenda with revised price of around $12500. I was looted with this money. Move-in: My move-in dates were re-scheduled 8 times (Oct 26, 30, Nov 6, 9, 11, 13, Nov 16 @10am, Nov 16@2pm). My apartment lease expiry was on Oct 30 2020. After getting a confirmation from [name removed] team, I did not request for lease extension. From Nov 2nd to Nov 16 I was literally out and getting help from friends for stay during Pandemic. Really Sick of Normandy Homes. Construction: No clear plan on AC Vent pipes install. During construction process, I was assured that bed 2 roof will be lifted to get ac vents out without damaging the exterior appeal. But, Siding was provided instead of existing planned bricks on the exterior. I HATE NORMANDY HOMES FOR THESE AND MANY OTHER STRESSING ENCOUNTERS
