I like the quality of home at the price I got. Dont like: I asked to change few things after the contract but builder said not possible to change anything. If I have options to change small things (like cupboard color or blinds etc) I can pay for that upgrade if needed.

Normandy has taken care of everything so far. Hoping to have as good of service at our one year checkup with small cracks and cabinet’s separating from the wall.

Some things, like our tile, took a few tries to get right and the caulking all over the house lasted about 6 months before it dried and shrank and needed to be replaced. The doors and windows have needed adjustments, but Normandy has been very receptive to making things right. I am disappointed in the size of A/C unit that was installed and we told it was adequate and the ductwork has been a challenge to get right. Other than that, we love our home and feel very secure in our investment.

People are nice and explaining the status regularly , Dislikes are Cabinets Finishing is not so great few gaps in washroom cabinets, Garage floor given cracks in 1st week of move-in and many small pending items before move-in.

I liked: [name removed] and [name removed] and [name removed]. Give them all a bonus and a raise. Landscaping should be higher quality, and better leveling or retaining walls. And trees should be away from sewage and piping.

Overall experience was good. A few exterior and interior hiccups. Frame was a bit messed up so the windows had to be moved in a few spots to ensure they lined up correctly, wrong tile was installed in master bath shower which had to be removed and correct tile installed (led to a few sloppy areas on the final product). Other than those few items we are happy and [name removed] our builder as well as [name removed] worked through any questions or concerns we had and have treated us great. I would absolutely use both of them again to build a home, they are doing a fantastic job.

Mismanaged Carpet Install . Late Warranty Response . Poor support on defects post closing . Sprinkler system defects which damaged most of the lawn .

Garage space is less for [name removed] model, wood quality and sealing on windows are not sound proof. We are able to hear outside sound. So many cracks and electronic items like thermostat quality is not great. Mandatory lights not there in bedroom. No wiring for installing security cameras and home theatre etc..as a customer, I expect at least wiring and place holders to setup home theatre and outside security cameras. These are the mandatory thing we should do during construction and difficult to do after construction. Customer is good to pay if you include expenses.

Lot of things that we happened to realize which can be educated or told before. Like the plan that we have did not get any car parking space behind garage door. Builders incentive(if we choice builders lender) was promised ON TOP of total price we agreed but in the contract it was included in the total price,by the time we clearly see or understand it is too late . As we have not moved in yet we can not tell how many other surprises waiting to be found and experience.

The closing experience was extremely rushed and my home was not completed on time.. additionally my HVAC didnt appear to be operationally checked prior to moving in because it did not work and parts needed replaced. However, Normandy put me in a hotel.

Loved everything! [name removed] is probably the best superintendent of construction a family could probably deal with. Always their to help and truly cares about the people and the home they are building. Still checks on us to see how everything is going.

The initial commitment given to me at closing was not yet met. It has been 6 months and I did not get the paint kit, and I was told that the patch on front door will be fixed but it has not been done yet. The floor upstairs keeps popping and sweeking. I am waiting until Summer to see if it settles. While selling the house the sales rep mentioned that there won't be any popping or sweeking because the wood are screwed together rather than nailed. But looks like it does not make a difference.

[name removed] is constantly making sure our house is taken care of with all the new construction going on around it. He has the workers picking up there trash, cleaning up the alley on a consistent basis, especially with this crazy weather. Best builder to work with that Normandy Homes has.
