To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the construction quality and closing experience of my new home built by Normandy Homes. The contract signing process was smooth and straightforward. As a cooperative and reasonable customer, my only goal has been to purchase a quality home and provide a stable environment for my family. Throughout the construction phase, I appreciated the weekly updates provided by your onsite sales manager, [name removed], and made a point to walk the property myself each week to monitor progress. However, as the home neared completion, serious concerns emerged. The overall quality of the construction has fallen far below acceptable standards—especially for a home priced at $700,000. To be specific: Caulking throughout the home was poorly applied and inconsistently finished. Doors, trims, and baseboards were chipped and appeared to have been installed without proper care or quality control. Tile work was uneven and unlevel. When I raised this issue, your Project Manager, [name removed], stated that this was an acceptable finish. It is not. Paint and finish work were subpar. Doors and trims were painted without proper sanding or surface preparation, resulting in a visibly rough and unprofessional finish. Paint drips and silicone residue were left on the flooring, further reflecting a lack of attention to detail. AC issues has been addressed but has not been fully repaired. During the blue tape walkthrough, I identified these issues and requested that they be properly addressed. Unfortunately, only a small portion—approximately 20%—were corrected. Despite repeated requests, I was consistently told by both the sales and project managers that the remaining issues could be addressed within 30 days after closing. This left me no choice but to proceed with closing on a home that was clearly incomplete and poorly finished. I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of workmanship and the manner in which these concerns were handled. Normandy Homes, and by extension Green Brick Partners, must understand that selling homes at this price point requires delivering a product that reflects care, quality, and integrity. I respectfully request a prompt and comprehensive response, along with a commitment to rectify the outstanding deficiencies in my home without further delay. I had large noise vent, which is issue confirmed by roofer; but has been followed up many many times, not having any feedback.
