Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

I have noticed several issues with the construction quality that have been disappointing. Specifically, Paintings, I'm already seeing some cracks in the walls, doors, etc.
Prosper, on Sep 16, 2024
In the nearly 6 months that I have lived in this new home, I have had several issues and literally every month I have to contact Warranty team to fix one or other issues, and most of them stem from poor quality of workmanship! For a premium product you are selling, I expected the quality to be of top notch, but only after moving in and started living in the house I realize the quality is not worth the premium you are charging and really wonder what kind of quality control you have in place! If you were to pay more than $1000 for an iPhone and then you have to visit Apple Store to fix one or other issues every month, would you be happy with that?

I had a big expectation on construction clean but it wasn’t up to my expectations. I had to spend a lot of time and energy in making sure the home gets clean after I was given the keys.
Prosper, on Jul 04, 2024
I liked the quality. Disliked about warranty orientation and I requested to have session after I missed the appoitnment after my closing but my request did not fulfill till date. I lost hvac 10 years warranty
Prosper, on Sep 10, 2024
We painted our kitchen cabinets through normandy. The quality is worst. I spoke to many painters and all of them mentioned that this can only happen if bad quality or diluted paint is used. The paint keeps getting stuffed even with minor touch and cleaning them is impossible as the paint comes off. I never expected such cheap quality paint

Like: [name removed] is very well organized throughout the process in terms of scheduling things to happen on time. They are very knowledgeable and has done an excellent customer service in explaining me the options available and thereby helped me to make the right choices for the Home. I am very pleased and Thankful to [name removed] and [name removed] for all their support in constructing our House. Dislike: I wish Normandy has better offer on certain things like providing the Ceiling Fans for the bedrooms, pendant lights for kitchen Island as part of basic package. I need to hire a contractor to do this work to make the house complete.
Prosper, on Jun 30, 2024
Warranty is overall good, but having issues with flooring services from more than 1 month with no resolution to the issues with LVP. I was expecting better from Normandy
Prosper, on Aug 22, 2024
services request execution delay in the last 2-3 months. It used to good before.
Prosper, on Mar 25, 2024
1.Excellent Warranty Support. always there when needed (although not many times needed) 2.Good Quality of build 3.It was a very good experience during pre-move
Prosper, TX, on Apr 30, 2024
My experience with this builder has been incredibly disappointing. Despite agreeing to replace a window with a significant scratch, they reneged during the final inspection, claiming to have replaced a different window without any issues. The builder's unprofessionalism was further highlighted by their prolonged personal phone calls during orientation, totaling over 30 minutes. When attempting to report issues, I was met with aggressive behavior and threats. It's disheartening that none of the reported issues were deemed worthy of warranty coverage. It begs the question of how Normandy Homes trains its employees to interact with customers. Overall, the poor quality of the home does not justify the investment made.

Like: warranty services, value for money Dislike: the quality of certain things in my house
Prosper, TX, on Apr 28, 2024
Normandy Homes did a horrible job with the timelines. When we executed the purchase agreement the home was move in ready and had to close by April. After signing the contract the builder was informed the home did not pass city inspection and would have to make some repairs. Instead of delaying closing to provide enough time to complete repairs and go through the final walk thru in a timely manner the closing date was kept and repairs were not completed until less than a week from closing. This is turn delayed timing on when we could have on our third party inspect the home. By the time our third party inspector did their part the list of items found would not be completed in time for closing. At that point closing was pushed out a week but that kept us in limbo with out moving plans and commitments made on selling our previous home.

I like the warranty service/customer care experience. The request is timely acknowledged and acted accordingly

Likes being - model options, the quality of the build, the effective and timely communication by our sales manager, [name removed] and competence and guidance from the design center representative, [name removed] and flexibility and support from our Construction manager, [name removed]. We really appreciate the amazing support and guidance from [name removed] throughout the process, specifically in clarifying all our doubts/questions promptly and she always took time to give us all the required details and go the extra mile when required which mattered a lot as we were out of state. She made the entire journey exciting, smooth and enjoyable. Special thanks to our Design center representative, [name removed], whose expert advise helped add to the beauty of our home. Special thanks to [name removed], our construction manager for being supportive and flexible throughout the process and giving us timely updates with beautiful pics of the house. Dislikes - The experience with our HomePro representative was not very good. We never got timely responses and also she was not very clear about the products and options available with our builder. We had to constantly follow up to get things done. Also, one thing that would be great if [name removed] could change, would be - to give the buyer due courtesy and not always assume that buyers like to find faults or report issues for no reason.
Prosper, TX, on Mar 24, 2024
It was smooth experience [name removed] was our first contact when we walked in to check and she patiently answered all the questions she also helped my other friend in getting the contract signed right during the long weekend July-4. After [name removed] moved other community still [name removed] took care of us.
Prosper, TX, on Feb 23, 2024
We like the build quality and how [name removed] helped us understand each upgrade options we chose, provided on schedule, always being communicated. What we didn't like much is design center options are very limited in countertop selection, kitchen sink or appliances, no option to chose other brands of appliances.
Prosper, TX, on Feb 12, 2024
Meeting commitments, quality constructions, and addressing concerns promptly. Special thanks to builder ([name removed]) & Sales ([name removed]) for the wonderful buying experience.

I liked the fact that both [name removed] and [name removed] were consistent on the delivery and transparent throughout the whole purchase experience.

[name removed] and [name removed] really helped us through the process of home buying. We never felt pressurized into deciding on something that we have regretted at a later point. They were very responsive throughout the buying process and always reachable. Builder [name removed] was also very keen on things and patiently waked us through on many things during orientation and walk through. He made sure that the home was closed on time and even fixed minor cosmetic issues that go unnoticed.

Like: Sales Rep's - [name removed] and [name removed], were excellent and truly exceptional Dislike: We were not able to choose few options that other builders have like pot filler in kitchen, modify the plan lil bit Very bad lender Bhome, not competent per market. Bhome is disaster
Prosper, TX, on Nov 06, 2023
The main door to house and other doors little small. Didn’t realize it until we started to get stuff inside house. Garage doors are also little small. It’s little difficult to park SUV inside every time. Flooring in some area could have been improved. Rest everything is perfect
Prosper, TX, on Oct 25, 2023
Sales manager response was awesome and exceptional. Construction was also done good except below 2 items. Giving for both of them 5/5 ratings overall. But I give 3.5 out of 5 only to the Normandy builder (due to the policy on inventory homes) due to below 2 reasons: Signed for inventory home and assuming below 2 items constructed per Normandy policy/guidelines for the inventory homes which seems not to be customer friendly. 1) Exterior brick texture was rough and was a big surprise. Initially while signing during the contract time for inventory home, we were showed a picture which never made us imagine that brick texture is rough. We should have given the brick sample and should have asked us to feel that also before signing on the contract. My feedback for builder: If inventory home sales, kindly request builders not to sell until atleast exterior brick construction is completed, otherwise it’s kind of pushing customer hard to buy because customer already signed contract and can lose entire deposit. OR Should also be fine if shown “atleast 2 real bricks along with the filling grout” while contract signing time itself in order to feel the texture. Otherwise showing a small sample of brick doesn’t help as it’s hard to imagine reality. 2) There are gaps identified between flooring and baseboard where I can insert my car key metal part entirely within that gap. Asked to fix that gap. I was informed due to manufacturer warranty, can’t caulk. Surprised to hear and also for not addressing despite of reporting that as security concern.
