It was a very smooth process overall and I really liked the communication from [name removed] and [name removed]. They were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. A major issue I would like to point out is that our home was not registered with USPS and it has been a nightmare trying to get our mail and packages since the move-in. I’m not sure whether this is a builder or a developer problem, but it is a major issue and it must be addressed. It was brought up with [name removed] management. It didn’t seem like they were taking the issue seriously. The other thing I would like to see, improve some of the basic features in the home because it felt like we were nickel and dimed for things that should be standard within a home nowadays.

Excellent guidance from sales to final walk-thru. [name removed] at the [name removed] office was very helpful in designing the changes we requested. He had some excellent suggestions for us to consider. [name removed] kept us informed at every step of the building process sending us pictures and updates. [name removed], our builder is the best. His attention to detail in making sure what we are getting is exactly what we signed up for is outstanding. We just felt we were in good hands with [name removed], all through the building process. Last but not the least, we thank [name removed] and team in helping us when the lender did not come through on the planned closing date. [name removed] and [name removed] (at the title company) kept me informed on the situation until it was resolved.

Everything with warranty has been absolutely great. [name removed] has amazing customer service and I appreciate his help immensely. My son also purchased a [name removed] home right across the street from me and we closed within a few weeks from each other, and again, [name removed], has been great. One thing that I would like to note, that has absolutely nothing to do with [name removed] or [name removed], is the paint quality of the house. The walls are unfortunately very splotchy and chalky, and any contact at all will cause the paint to scratch black. I have never encountered such a paint quality, and it really does diminish the quality of the home.

We really like the people that we interacted with during the building process. Our sales person [name removed] was really helpful during the process. He used to take weekly pictures of the progress and send us. Since we were moving from [name removed] to Texas, they were really helpful. He is really courteous and would answer our calls in a very timely manner. We made a friend in Texas in [name removed] during the process. Our construction supervisor [name removed] was excellent. Very detail oriented and would help us with our questions. He has lot of knowledge in construction and would guide us through the process. Specially when we were trying to do something crazy, he would warn us. He went above and beyond in accommodating our needs during the construction process. We made another friend for life in [name removed]. I couldn't say enough about both [name removed] and [name removed] about their help to us. I would strongly recommend Shaddock Homes to our friends and family. We are already guiding our friends and family to [name removed].

I love everything in the home, only thing I dislike is the paint quality. For a house this size and price, the walls, doors and cabinets scratch and stain even with the slightest touch. They will not wipe down. It cheapens the look of the entire house. Unfortunately, the paint quality of the model home was not like this.

I have disliked certain people who represent their areas of expertise. The design meeting coordinator was rude and did not adequately explain the design process to us. The warranty person never follows up on my requests when I have something I need to fix.

unprofessional finish in regard to some areas related to the walls. Faucets finish is not up to standard. unfinished work on patio door, [name removed] from installation still in the reel front door still whistles due to improper installation. hardwood floor done half ass on one area in the house, still not finished even after they came by and try to fix it. In general, all they care about is selling you a house and then blame it on the warranty. I was promised that work will be done after I signed the contract but... The only good thing I can say is that they have a great warranty contact "[name removed]" he is very responsive and extremely helpful and professional. He cares about your concerns and issues.

Overall it's been great. I'm very happy with [name removed]. I'm still a little frustrated with a few of the sub-contractors. I don't feel like the electrical wiring was done well. I have lost more than one freezer full of food because the circuit breaker was tripped somehow. And the first 4 weeks we had no electricity on one side of the house. The outside electrician who put in plugs for my shades actually found the problem, the electrician who built the house did not. And don't get me started on the landscaping. [name removed] league at best. But [name removed] has done well on the house itself. There will be some things to fix at the one year mark but nothing major and nothing that's just poor quality or craftsmanship.

I appreciated the attentiveness of the sales team and the on site manager. They always listen to and fixed any concerns during the build and still come around from time to time to check in. You can still call them to ask questions and they take the time to answer them...even though my house is complete.

[name removed] the warranty guy is horrible. He takes forever to respond to my concerns. I’ve had issues with my noise kitchen vent hood for months. My AC distribution the house is terrible. The paint on my kitchen island comes off when I wipe it with water. I’ve brought these issues to his attention months ago and they’re still unresolved.
